Chapter 17

Falling for the Mafia Brothers827 words~5 min read

The safe house wasn’t that far from the main home. It was less noticeable, but people would be able to make it without a problem.

Kyle quickly got Anatoli out of the car and helped him to the house. By the time they made it to the door, the doctor who helped Dimitri was standing there waiting for them.

The doctor helped them inside and took Anatoli to the back.

Kyle only lasted five minutes before her anxiety got the best of her and she went back to where Anatoli was. When she walked in, the doctor was removing the bullet.

“Is he all right?” she asked the doctor.

“He’ll be fine. You did an excellent job at slowing down the bleeding,” the doctor tried to reassure her. “Could you grab the bowl over there?”

Kyle walked over to the dresser and grabbed the bowl and brought it to the doctor. He didn’t take it but instead dropped the bullet in it.

“Hold this to the wound while I get ready to stitch it. Anatoli is lucky it didn’t hit anything important.” The doctor handed her some gauze, and she placed it over his wound.

Anatoli grunted when she put a little bit of pressure on it until the doctor came over to start stitching him.

The doctor had just finished stitching up Anatoli when they heard the front door being forcibly opened and people yelling.

“Kylah?”

Kyle jumped up and ran to the door at the sound of Dimitri’s voice.

“Dimitri!” Kyle yelled as she ran and jumped into his arms and kissed him. When she pulled away, she noticed Max wasn’t behind him.

“Where is Max?” she asked Dimitri, afraid of his answer.

“He’s fine, ~myshka~. He is coming in a different car and should be here in a second.”

She let out a sigh of relief.

Dimitri took in her appearance and noticed her blood on her. “Are you okay?”

“It’s not my blood; it’s Anatoli’s,” she told Dimitri with tears in her eyes.

“He was shot trying to get me out. He was shot because I wanted my dog.” Kyle couldn’t hold in her tears anymore and broke down crying.

Dimitri was trying to get her to calm down.

She was crying so hard that she didn’t realize Max had come in until she heard a bark. She looked up and ran to Max, kissing him the way she kissed Dimitri.

“Little bee, are you hurt?”

Kyle didn’t answer him and just held onto him. Dimitri told Max what Kyle had told him, and by that time, Kyle had calmed down enough to let the brothers know that Anatoli was in the back with the doctor.

Max let go of Kyle and left to talk to the doctor.

Kyle picked up Elliot and walked over to the couch and sat next to Dimitri.

“What happened tonight?” she asked him.

He sighed, putting his arm around her and pulling her back on the couch with him. “We were ambushed by the same people that shot me. They were there to take you.”

“Why?” She was so confused about why they wanted her so bad.

“We don’t know. We thought it was about taking out our organization since it started before you came, but they seemed to want you.

“They could still want to take us out and think that taking you will work, but I think it’s something else.”

Kyle and Dimitri sat in silence until Max’s voice broke it.

“Our girl here saved Anatoli’s life, and she killed the man who shot him.” Max was proud, and he wanted to show her how proud of her he was.

“I think we should reward her later for her actions. Don’t you agree, Dimitri?”

Kyle didn’t know what her reward would be, but just the way Max said it sent a wave of lust through her.

The safe house was smaller; there was a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and one bedroom downstairs where Anatoli was recovering.

Upstairs held three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was much more modest compared to the house they were living in.

After they made sure Kyle ate, they took her upstairs to the master bedroom to get her cleaned up. She still had blood on her, and they wanted her to relax.

Max ran a bath for her while Dimitri started with a back rub. Kyle was in heaven; she had never been this well taken care of.

When Dimitri was done, Max helped her into the tub and washed her body. She was on the verge of falling asleep before Max unplugged the bathtub and helped her out of the bath.

Once Kyle had dried off, Max brought her back to the bed and placed her next to Dimitri. Dimitri leaned over and kissed her.

He kissed her deeply as Max stood next to her, taking off his clothes.

“Are you ready for your reward, little bee?”
