"Ooyu jo-a, Ooyu jo-a, Ooyu jooseyo!"

Yeonjun released another deep breath, he looked at Beomgyu with furrowed brows before unbuckling his seatbelt, "Can you please stop singing that already?"

"Oh jooseyo!" Beomgyu yelled at his face, Yeonjun looked at him in disbelief and hopped out of the car. They just got home (in Yeonjun's house) after a little party they had with the others. It was past 11 in the evening and Beomgyu was being a total handful right now for Yeonjun.

He's been annoyed ever since Beomgyu started getting talkative while drinking earlier. The younger male told him he won't drink much and that he could handle himself, but now, Beomgyu was here: sinking in the car seat as he kept singing some song that Yeonjun was starting to get annoyed with.

"Ooyu~" Beomgyu continued to sing at the top of his lungs, Yeonjun rolled his eyes and opened the car door for him. "Get out, and please, stop singing. You just drank more than five bottles and you're singing about milk?" Yeonjun scowled at him but Beomgyu stuck his tongue out with dazed eyes.

The stars were present in Beomgyu's eyes as his bangs covered them. His checkered sleeves were falling loosely on his shoulders, and his head laid lazily on the backrest. Yeonjun didn't know what to feel at the moment.

"What's so wrong with that?" Beomgyu pouted and stretched his arms out, "Help me get up. For the first time, my world's spinning and it's not because of you."

Yeonjun wanted to chuckle, he really wanted to, but Beomgyu needed to get up because it's freaking cold outside and he was drunk. "You're a handful," Yeonjun poked the insides of his cheek and gently pulled Beomgyu out of the car.

With wobbly legs, Beomgyu stood weakly on the grass. He almost fell, but Yeonjun was there to hold him steady. Yeonjun kicked the car door for it to close and brought Beomgyu's arm around his neck.

Beomgyu whined, "No, I don't need this! I can walk by myself!" the younger male gave him a worn-out push which barely moved Yeonjun at all. The elder male's shoulders dropped in frustration as he watched Beomgyu glare at him while walking away.

"Sure," Yeonjun raised a brow as he spoke with a defeated voice. Beomgyu kept swaying and swaying, he'd stop for a moment, then he'd continue walking. Yeonjun looked at him with pity. When he couldn't handle watching him sway in one place for a good minute now, he heaved a long sigh while walking towards him.

"Choi Yeonjun!" Beomgyu yelled before falling to the ground, Yeonjun immediately caught him though. They sat on the ground with Beomgyu giggling nonstop. Yeonjun didn't know if he should find it cute or he should knock some sense into this boy.

"Stop yelling. We're outside and it's late. The neighbors might wake up," Yeonjun scolded him but Beomgyu only scoffed. He pushed himself away from Yeonjun with a groan, "Then be awake. You can handle them. I'm drunk anyway."

"Are you being for real?" Yeonjun almost gasped in disbelief. Beomgyu was about to scream again when Yeonjun covered his mouth, "If you dare scream, I'll shove a hand filled with grass into your mouth."

Beomgyu frowned and let Yeonjun lift him off the ground. Beomgyu was still losing his balance when they were already walking inside Yeonjun's house. Luckily, Yeonjun was stronger, that's why he didn't struggle much. The living room was quiet as they climbed up the stairs to Yeonjun's room. The windows were masked with the curtains, but the moonlight never failed to bask the room in purple.

And needless to say, Yeonjun was also disappointed about something. He had been planning it since a week ago, and he was supposed to do it earlier during the party, but Beomgyu just had to accept Soobin's challenge of drinking a whole damn glass of alcohol in one go leading to more and more bottles.

Now, he was pissed, disappointed, and sad all at once.

"Jjuni," Beomgyu called with a hushed voice as they entered the room. Yeonjun only hummed.

"You were planning to propose to me earlier, weren't you?" Beomgyu asked with a sly smirk on his lips.

Yeonjun's eyes widened while staring at him, they stopped amidst the room as Yeonjun asked, "How...how did you know?"

Beomgyu breathlessly chuckled, "When you excused yourself earlier to go to the bathroom, Soobin Hyung told me about it."

Curse Soobin and his bad habit of exposing me when he's drunk.

Yeonjun held a breath in before continuing to pull Beomgyu towards the bed. "Jjuni, why aren't you answering?" Beomgyu whined.

"Gyu," Yeonjun sternly said and made Beomgyu sit on the bed, "It's no use now, okay? You're drunk and you should sleep."

The skin between Beomgyu's eyebrows creased along with his scrunched nose, he frowned, "Propose to me right now."

"What?" Yeonjun sighed, "Just sleep. I'm going to get a glass of water—"

"No," Beomgyu whined in his seat, "I said, propose to me right now."

"Beomgyu," Yeonjun ran a hand through his locks, "I can't propose to you like this, okay? I don't want to."

"But..." a pause, "But why? You're so picky! Just ask me to marry you and I'll answer!"

"I don't want to," Yeonjun gently pushed the younger male causing him to lie on the bed. Beomgyu rolled around the sheets while whining, "Why? Is it because it's not romantic? Embarrassed to tell our child that you proposed to me while I'm drunk?"

Yeonjun pinched the bridge of his nose, "Just sleep."

Beomgyu hastily stood up when he saw Yeonjun leaving and pulled him by the arm. As if he wasn't drunk, Beomgyu pulled the elder towards the open window where they could see the sky. The nightlight caressed their faces as they looked at each other. Beomgyu remained silent for a while; Yeonjun just stared at him with questioning eyes. Then, Beomgyu held Yeonjun's shoulders and shook him, "Just propose to me already, you strawberry head!"

Starting to feel dizzy, Yeonjun gripped Beomgyu's hands to stop him, "Choi Beomgyu!"

"Asshole," Beomgyu dramatically sighed and pushed Yeonjun on the floor. "Propose."

Yeonjun shut his eyes harshly and loudly breathed out. As the silence continued to sink in, Yeonjun gave up and grabbed the red box from his jacket. Beomgyu, despite still feeling drunk, softened at the sight.

"Beomgyu..." Yeonjun sighed out, he could feel his heart burning within his chest, "We both know we've been through a lot, and with all those events, the two of us learned a lot."

"And I..." Yeonjun bit his lip, "I don't know if you'll remember this tomorrow, but I want you to know that after I met you, I've never felt so complete."

"There were times when I was wrong. When I felt like I wasn't doing enough, but I want you to know that I only ever wanted to do good for you," Yeonjun looked at Beomgyu who only stared at him.

"And through every day, every moment..." Yeonjun gulped, "I want to be with you."

Yeonjun breathed in and softly held Beomgyu's hand, "Would you want to do that too?"

And just by Beomgyu's eyes, Yeonjun knew.

"Yeah, more than anything," Beomgyu nodded with a smile and that's when Yeonjun's eyes lit up as he wore Beomgyu the ring.

Yeonjun stood up and pulled the younger male in for a tight embrace, Beomgyu hummed while burying his face into the crook of Yeonjun's neck — the elder male smelled like alcohol although he didn't drink — he smiled, "I love you."

"I love you," Yeonjun whispered back as he tightened his hold around Beomgyu's waist.

With that, Beomgyu threw himself on the bed. He examined the golden ring around his finger with a chuckle. Yeonjun only smirked and turned to continue his task of grabbing a glass of water — until Beomgyu called for him.

"Where are you going? You just made me your husband-to-be, yet you're leaving me?" Beomgyu rolled on his side to look at the elder who spared him a tired gaze.

"I'm just going to—"

"Is that more important than me?" Beomgyu pouted with his puppy eyes glistening amidst the dim room. Yeonjun hesitated but gave in eventually. He lied next to Beomgyu on the bed and the younger male immediately hugged him.

There was pure silence after that. Yeonjun continuously patting Beomgyu's back gently while Beomgyu was so close to blacking out. This. Right now. There was no fear in this. Just certainty.

"How long can a person love someone?" Beomgyu asked while slowly closing his eyes. Yeonjun stroked the younger male's hair while humming. Beomgyu's hand was atop Yeonjun's chest; he could feel the elder male's heartbeat. It felt somewhat comforting.

"One can love forever even with these numbered days."

With love comes pain,

But I'll keep falling anyway

For love also comes with your name,

So I'll choose to risk every day.

Just promise me you'll stay

You will, won't you?

That's what you promised during May,

The day when I said I loved you too.
