Yeonjun's Letter

(Can we go back to the days our love was strong?)

✿

Beomgyu held the notebook in his hands, the silence of his room caused him to drift away from reality as he stared at the piece of paper. The thin and soft paper that had Yeonjun's handwriting all over it; Beomgyu stared at them with a hand moving over the sheet. The city lights continued to glimmer behind him through the glass windows, the noise muffling away slowly as he continued to flip the pages one by one.

Then after a few more minutes of scanning through it, he finally settled on the first page and read the very first line after the date of when he wrote it; the letter was written after their last encounter. Beomgyu breathed heavily.

"How have you been?"

Not well, Beomgyu wanted to answer. Ever since they drifted away from each other, he felt alone — he felt hopeless, shallow. What was there to feel when the person with whom you've experienced every kind of emotion was no longer in the comfort of your arms?

"Honestly, I haven't really moved on yet — maybe I've accepted it, but I still know that deep within me, I still love you. I just learned to accept how things ended for the both of us, but really now, is it really the end when I'm still loving you and hurting because of you?"

If only Yeonjun knew that even Beomgyu himself couldn't accept all the mistakes and wrong decisions he made throughout their relationship; he kept a lot of stuff a secret, left with no proper farewell, pushed Yeonjun away, and broke the innocent view he had for love. Beomgyu thought he had already moved on from it, but every time he remembered it, there's still that heavy feeling in his heart that he just couldn't bring himself to carry — he did so much to Yeonjun, both good and bad, yet Yeonjun never seemed to hate him for that.

Beomgyu stayed still on his bed as he went on and on with reading one page, and so far, with the quiet city right behind him, he noticed how Yeonjun kept talking about their very beginning and everything that happened after their first encounter. And for some reason, Beomgyu remembered all those times again; he remembered how innocent and unaware they were. If only he could go back in time and tell his past self not to do the mistakes he did which led them to where they were now.

But things happen and they can't do anything about the past now.

"Do you know what I went through when you left?"

Beomgyu wasn't dense enough to not know just what Yeonjun went through. The pain and fear were all present in Yeonjun's eyes, the once set of eyes that held so much certainty — they can't even look at him now, but Yeonjun was slowly getting back, slowly getting himself fixed. Yet this letter right in front of him held so much weight, so much pain, so much hope — it hurt Beomgyu.

So many things were written on the letter; the things he knew nothing about were found too. Who knew untold stories could be so beautiful?

Beomgyu sighed as he read another paragraph, "I'll give you time to heal, to fix yourself, and to love every inch of your edges. You have always degraded yourself, so for now, I want you to love what you are right now — because that is the Beomgyu I fell so deeply in love with."

And Beomgyu couldn't help it when a tear fell while being seated amidst that grey room, the bright lights still going off from outside the windows — Beomgyu gulped, he sniffled, and flipped the page again.

"I have never stopped loving you, Choi Beomgyu."

He couldn't take that, he couldn't swallow the thought of hurting someone deeply, yet in the end, they still stayed in love with you like the very first time. It has been years, Beomgyu thought — knew, yet why can't he let me go? He's been asking that for so many times, he got no answers, no sensible one. Why?

Beomgyu's chest felt heavy, it almost felt like someone was squeezing his heart — making it crack and causing him to gasp for air. He coughed and sniffled, Beomgyu flipped the page once more; a new letter came to view.

It was written yesterday.

Beomgyu's wide-eyed gaze was fixed on the page, there were only two pages left; Beomgyu wiped away his tears; he breathed in before proceeding to read.

It's been a while since I last wrote a letter for you, it's been what...years? I don't know, really. I've lost track of time, it feels like the seasons just come by and leave in a blink of an eye. It's sad, the world grows faster than we thought, we don't have much time; one day, we'll lose ourselves in our daydreams and get snapped back to reality.

And when I said that time flies by so fast, I mean it. It falls faster than the autumn leaves, you know. The moments vanish quickly like snow. Love blooms like Spring petals. You meet people for a short while like summer, yet the longing stays on your skin like a raindrop that crawled agonizingly slow all over you.

I never thought that we'd have a last kiss.

Back then, I was so focused on writing poems for you — I was so strict when it came to the muse I had for them, I made sure there were no errors, I even fixed my handwriting. I'd remember the first time we met, and almost instantly, sparks flew like cherry blossoms. It was a twist of fate when we broke away, it made me think that maybe you were really just a chapter — or perhaps even a whole book with an ending I never saw coming.

However, now, as I look at you — you're filled with sincerity, filled with the reasons why I should hold on. Books can have sequels, right? Can I have you now as a sequel? So many things I want to say, so many things I want you to know, it's killing me honestly. So many things happened, I don't think I remember most of them.

Many times, I tried to write for you again. Remember my poems? I wanted to write for you again, I wanted to write something that would have the words climb on you, brush against your nape, and would whisper into your ear. I wanted my thoughts to echo inside your mind, I wanted them to stay hidden in the depths of your heart — I never wanted you to let them go, and dare I say, I never wanted you to fall in love with someone else. I found my own thoughts selfish, silently begging for you not to replace what I gave to you; I don't know why, but I'm wondering, through the walls that I couldn't break through — did you hear my thoughts?

The poems I wrote back then didn't seem like poetry at all, they were of young love; they were so pure and raw, so innocent and in love; those poems were all dedicated to you. Now, as I write this, the words flow smoothly with no time for me to think — they just keep pouring out, splashing everywhere like buckets of paint. I dance with the words as I think of you, we sing, and together, we create poetry — a true one.

I sound so poetic right now, don't I? Don't laugh, don't even think of this as something embarrassing, my parents didn't call me 'healing' for nothing. Take it with all that you are as you remember all the times we spent together for one last before we move forward.

Beomgyu,

Can we go back?

✿

Beomgyu has always been complete.

But never fully complete.

That's why he wants to be whole again; Beomgyu ran down the pavement with his sneakers echoing throughout the streets, his gray hoodie bouncing behind him as he took a turn, he was panting but stopping wasn't in his plan. Beomgyu wanted to reach Yeonjun as fast as he could, he loses his breath because of Yeonjun all the freaking time anyway — his lungs were for Yeonjun to control at this point.

He doesn't mind.

After all the running he did (he doesn't really like running but for Yeonjun?), Beomgyu was finally standing in the midst of Yeonjun's lonely neighborhood. The streetlights were lighting up the way with the houses still awake, Beomgyu gulped. He checked the time: 9 o'clock.

Without further delay, he moved his feet and made his way to Yeonjun's home. To his home.

Who said a home can only be a place?

Beomgyu breathed deeply, he stood stiffly on Yeonjun's doorstep. He looked around, he brushed his hair up before knocking. He also pressed the bell and heard shuffling from behind. Soon enough, the entrance sprung open; Yeonjun looked at him with wide eyes, "Beomgyu? What are—"

"Quiet," Beomgyu shushed him, "Listen to me first, Mister Yeonjun Choi."

Yeonjun bit his lip as he stared at the younger male, "Beomgyu, it's cold. What time is—"

"I said, shush!" Beomgyu pouted while looking at Yeonjun. The elder finally gave in and sighed.

Beomgyu calmed down, he smiled, "I still remember something that someone told me: If someone came to break you, that is only because someone's gonna come to heal you. I still believe in it."

"And healing takes a lot of time," Beomgyu took a step forward, "But I'm halfway there."

"One more step," Beomgyu chuckled, he stood close to Yeonjun — he tilted his head with a smile, "Let's go back? Just like you asked?"

And who was Yeonjun to refuse?

Going back for one last time meant moving forward right after.

✿

"Where exactly are we going?" Yeonjun asked while adjusting his hoodie with one hand, Beomgyu held the other firmly as he pulled them down the road on the way to a bus stop. Beomgyu chuckled, his sweet voice made Yeonjun smile too as they continued to walk down the concrete ground.

The city slowly drowned in silence together with the night, but Yeonjun and Beomgyu were swimming over it. They reached the bus stop, the blinding lights hurt their eyes — Beomgyu pulled him closer with a smile.

"We're going back to school!"

Yeonjun's eyes widened, "Huh? What do you mean?" He raised a brow.

Beomgyu giggled, he tried to scan the busy road for an incoming bus before answering, "We're going back to those days, we first met at school; let's go there tonight."

"It's past nine, Beomgyu." Yeonjun pulled him closer, they sat down on the seat before the elder looked at Beomgyu, "We can't visit the school. We'll get in trouble."

"Oh, geez," Beomgyu scoffed as he rolled his eyes, "We literally skipped school on the first day we met, you weren't worried about getting in trouble."

Yeonjun opened his mouth to speak yet no words came to be heard, he sighed, "The tables have turned, I guess?"

Beomgyu nodded with a cheeky smile, "Definitely. Now let's go, I can see a bus approaching." His eyes were filled with excitement as he watched the vehicle drive its way to them amidst the streets.

However, Yeonjun just couldn't seem to agree on this yet. They'll surely get in trouble, and he didn't want that to happen. This was reckless, an act for someone who wants to be alive — Yeonjun didn't know, he gulped as he looked at Beomgyu.

"Gyu," the elder held Beomgyu to his place when the bus arrived, they made eye contact, "How are we even going to get into the school?" He whispered with uncertainty.

Beomgyu glanced at the bus before smirking, he intertwined their fingers — Yeonjun saw sparks dancing wildly along with the city lights — Beomgyu took the first step on the bus with Yeonjun still standing on the ground, he leaned closer to his ear and whispered, "Drop everything now and let's break in."

And Yeonjun saw a glimpse of attractive mischief in Beomgyu's eyes as he smiled, he couldn't feel his legs — all consciousness left his body as he allowed Beomgyu to pull him into the almost empty bus.

After Beomgyu paid, he quickly pulled Yeonjun deeper within the vehicle with a grin. Yeonjun only looked at him, dazed and captivated by the younger male's reckless demeanor. Beomgyu's face was illuminated by the city's reddish glow, his smile nowhere close to faltering as they made their way to two empty seats.

It was like Beomgyu's eyes screamed for Yeonjun to drop every doubt he had and run with him down the streets as they laugh at the top of their lungs. Yeonjun's mind completely goes blank every time Beomgyu smiles. Resisting was no good when it came to Beomgyu.

"Remember when we used to take the bus together?" Beomgyu whispered so sweetly as they sat down on the seats. Yeonjun nodded.

Yeonjun chuckled, "Remember when we used to date?"

Beomgyu met Yeonjun's gaze, his eyes wide while staring at him as a blush came brushing against his cheeks and ears. He cleared his throat and looked away, "I remember that the wall was really tall, I hope a ladder would magically appear there."

"You dodged a bullet," Yeonjun scoffed and leaned against his seat, "You brought this upon yourself."

Beomgyu averted his gaze from the window and pouted at Yeonjun, "Well, you shouldn't be so—"

"So...what?" Yeonjun looked at him with his head resting on the seat, "You're blushing."

"I'm not," Beomgyu scowled, "You're seeing things."

A sigh, "But there is something on your face," Yeonjun wiggled his eyebrows with a sly grin.

Beomgyu stared at him in disbelief, "Actually, there is."

"And what is that?" Yeonjun asked, he leaned over to his knees and placed his hands atop them.

Beomgyu smirked, "Good looks."

A burst of laughter erupted from Beomgyu's lips as he looked at Yeonjun who grimaced, "What? Why are you looking at me like that, Grandpa Jun?"

Yeonjun bit his lip as he tried to stop himself from laughing, "Where did that come from?"

"Oh, I don't know. Your old contact name on my phone, I guess?" Beomgyu teasingly shrugged while pouting. Yeonjun poked the insides of his cheeks while smiling at the younger male.

"You seriously remember that?" Yeonjun raised a brow while chuckling.

"It's the little things," Beomgyu winked at him and brushed a hand through his hair.

Yeonjun hummed, "And you're little too."

Beomgyu gasped, "I'm not. You blind fool, I'm literally almost as tall as you. You should know that by now after always hugging and kissing me."

That came out so casually.

Realizing how he just blurted all those out like they were weightless made Beomgyu stiff on his seat. He gulped and awkwardly laughed, "Forget what I said, I never said things like that. Erase them. I'm Beomgyu, and you are?" Due to panic, Beomgyu once again said random things. He held a hand up while looking at Yeonjun with anxious eyes.

Yeonjun released a chuckle, "You're cute."

Beomgyu tilted his head as he felt a skip in his heartbeat, "Come again?"

Yeonjun looked at his lap while laughing, he glanced at Beomgyu before leaning on his seat again — he reached out to ruffle his hair and said, "Let's just hope we won't get caught, all right? You're so bored."

The way Yeonjun's smile blended well with the lights that danced around the bus, it caused Beomgyu to stare. There were numerous people with who Beomgyu could have fallen in love, but they were all seemingly impossible to exist in Beomgyu's eyes.

Yeonjun was the only possible person for him who can make Beomgyu wear a promise around his finger.

✿

What kind of love makes it feel like everything is worth it?

It's the love that goes through the worst battles and survives that is worth having.

"Beomgyu," Yeonjun called while being dragged out of the bus, Beomgyu was laughing out loud, his tone almost echoing throughout the empty streets in front of the school, "Beomgyu, oh my god, stop being loud?"

This only caused Beomgyu to laugh more loudly, he's always loud — what's new? And when he's quietly sitting on the corner, people would get worried; repeatedly asking if he was okay. Where should Beomgyu even stay? He chuckled at the thought.

Beomgyu looked at the school gates and saw a guard in front, "Oh shit, there's someone by the gate." He pushed Yeonjun backward while giggling and grabbed his hand again, "There's only one solution now," he grinned at Yeonjun and they made their way around the school.

"And what exactly is that?" Yeonjun asked when Beomgyu let go of his hand, the younger male looked around then his eyes landed on the tall wall before him, "Do you have any idea how we're going to get up there?" Beomgyu queried as his finger pointed to the top.

Yeonjun's forehead scrunched up in confusion, "What? Why?"

"God," Beomgyu dramatically sighed, he wrapped a hand around Yeonjun's wrist and when he looked at his side, his eyes immediately glistened in bliss, "To get into the school, silly."

Beomgyu walked over to the ladder left unused by the corner, "Look, a ladder."

"What the fuck is a ladder doing here?" Yeonjun gasped in disbelief while staring at the wooden steps on Beomgyu's hands. Beomgyu laughed again, he brought the ladder on the wall and took the first step.

"I don't know, Hyung," Beomgyu scoffed, "Maybe the universe is in favor of my idea. Now, quit chit-chatting and come here."

"But Beomgyu," Yeonjun whined, he carefully held the ladder to avoid it shaking too much while Beomgyu's climbing, "Are you a hundred percent about this? We're really gonna get in trouble. When I asked if we should go back, I did not mean this," Yeonjun gave him an anxious look while pouting. Beomgyu looked at him from above, he sighed.

It was obvious that inveigling the elder to agree with this would not be easy, but he could try hard enough. Beomgyu heaved a sigh, "Can you just...forget about everything else and hold my hand?"

There was silence in between the two souls that stared at each other amidst a cold night in the city. Beomgyu felt like he would shiver any time now, he needed a hand to hold. Yeonjun's hand.

"Ah..." Yeonjun breathed in deeply, "I'll hold your hand once you safely get inside the school, I'll keep my grasp on the ladder."

And the mischief in Beomgyu's eyes sparked up once again, he chuckled and went on with climbing. He reached the top and waited for Yeonjun to be with him as well. "Hurry up," Beomgyu urged him to move faster, and of course, Yeonjun followed his demand which made Beomgyu laugh again.

"Now what?" Yeonjun asked as he held the younger male closer. He pulled the ladder and dropped it inside the school so they could use it again to get out.

Beomgyu held his breath and looked down, "Duh. We're gonna jump. Hyung, get out of those clouds, your mind's floating."

"Can't we just...use the ladder to get down?" Yeonjun asked with a raised brow. Beomgyu gave him a look of disbelief, "Nah." And he jumped.

Can we go back to the days our love was strong?

"Oh jeez," Beomgyu hugged himself while looking around, "it's so scary. Did you bring your phone?" He walked closer to Yeonjun and gripped the hem of his hoodie.

Yeonjun only hummed while nodding and grabbed his phone, he turned the flashlight on. They started walking, Beomgyu quietly pulled his hand out of his sweater paws and intertwined his fingers with Yeonjun's. The elder allowed it with no complaint, they weren't speaking — yet, the silence wasn't killing them at all. They just kept taking steps forward around the school ground.

"I remembered something," Beomgyu chuckled, "You asked me to be your boyfriend here. You went all out during that day."

Yeonjun felt his breath jump off his chest, "Soobin and Lia helped me back then, did you like it?" He chuckled as he tightened his hold around the younger male's smaller one.

Have you ever noticed just how small Beomgyu's hand is compared to Yeonjun's?

"Why are you asking that now?" Beomgyu laughed, he shut his eyes while leaning against Yeonjun's shoulder, "Why are you laughing?" Yeonjun chuckled along with him.

Beomgyu looked at him with crescent eyes, "Why are you laughing?" He smiled while trying to stop himself from laughing.

"Because you're laughing," Yeonjun couldn't stop himself from releasing another laugh, they both leaned against each other — no one knows just how long both of them waited for this; they've always wanted to laugh together again without worries nor any part of their past to hold back a smile from their lips.

Then suddenly, Beomgyu let go of Yeonjun's hand and ran ahead of me. The elder raised a brow, "Gyu, where are you going?" Yeonjun looked around in hopes that no guard was roaming about the school grounds. Yeonjun really wanted this night to last longer. The moments he had spent with Beomgyu, the time, they always come by so fast; for once, he wanted at least this night to last longer and slower.

"Let's go inside," Beomgyu didn't wait for a response, as his voice was filled with excitement, he chuckled while running into the building. Luckily, the doors weren't locked. After all the chasing Yeonjun did, finally, he's running with him.

The night went on young and alive, loud and filled with laughter. Beomgyu and Yeonjun walked down the halls, peeked through the windows to see the classrooms, and laughed when they found a few rooms locked. The moonlight seeped through the glass windows, the dark started to sink in deeper — yet Yeonjun and Beomgyu didn't think much of the growing night. Besides, the moon was there, the stars kept twinkling, and they had each other; it was more than enough to stay.

"Boo!"

Beomgyu said from behind the elder one's back which caused Yeonjun to scream in shock, he quickly covered his mouth as he stared at Beomgyu with wide eyes, "Why did you scream? Why are you screaming?" Beomgyu whispered while laughing in a breathy way.

"You scared me," Yeonjun squinted his eyes with furrowed brows, the younger male was really playful — if he scares him one more time, they'll surely get caught. Beomgyu just shrugged with a teasing pout, "You're such a scaredy-cat. This isn't some haunted house or something."

"What if it is though?" Yeonjun whispered back.

Suddenly, a man's voice came.

"Yah, is anyone there?" They heard footsteps and a light crawling from the end of the hallway. Beomgyu and Yeonjun panicked and immediately went inside an empty classroom just beside them, they quietly closed the door and sat on the floor.

The guard was greeted by an empty hallway, he scratched the back of his head, "I'm sleep-deprived. I'm hearing things."

Hearing this, Beomgyu almost laughed if Yeonjun hadn't covered his mouth with his hand. Beomgyu closed his eyes while nodding, Yeonjun just shushed him. Moments later, the school guard left and walked down the stairs to go back to his duty. Yeonjun finally sighed in relief while removing his hand from the little one's mouth.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Beomgyu shook his head while trying to hold his laughter in. He brought his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them, "You almost got us caught, Hyung."

"What?" Yeonjun rasped out, "You almost got us caught, Gyu."

Beomgyu rolled his eyes and leaned his head against the wall, "If you didn't scream like that, then maybe the guard wouldn't have assumed that he's hearing things."

Yeonjun ruffled his hair, "You are so childish, do you know that?"

"I've been told," Beomgyu grabbed the elder male's phone and positioned it under his chin — the light illuminated his whole face which almost scared Yeonjun, "Don't be such a wimp." Beomgyu scoffed and placed the phone down. Yeonjun scowled, "Oh, really? Really?"

Beomgyu stood up, "Yeah, really, really." He scoffed again and took a few steps forward, he examined the room — something felt familiar.

When Yeonjun stood up, Beomgyu grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the classroom windows. "It's our old classroom."

And that's when it hit Yeonjun, he looked around the room and noticed the familiar corners and seats. The clean chalkboard, a few pieces of chalk by the table, and the neatly positioned chairs. The cold light washed away the darkness as it crawled inside, the silence being drawn away when Yeonjun's heavy footsteps came to be heard — he walked towards his old seat at the back of the class with a fond smile.

Too focused on watching the sky cloaked in black, Beomgyu didn't notice Yeonjun walking away from him, he was in trance because of the view above. Not until the elder spoke.

"I kinda miss school," Yeonjun laughed at his own words, "Even though it was quite stressful at some point, it was still fun."

Beomgyu walked over to him, "I don't miss the class though," he chuckled, "However, I do miss the fun times in school. What's your favorite part?"

Yeonjun stared at him, he sat on his old seat, "My first day of school here."

"Ah, really?" Beomgyu nodded while smiling, he walked towards his old seat and pulled his chair out, "You're a big part of my high school life though, so I guess, you're my favorite...?"

The elder couldn't help but to laugh at that, he positioned his arms on the desk and laid his head on them with a smile, "You're cheesy with words."

"Well, do you like cheese?" Beomgyu bit his lip while smiling. Yeonjun pouted, "No, I like you."

"Nonsense," Beomgyu rolled his eyes. He copied the same position that Yeonjun was doing and stared at him, "I like nonsense when it's you."

Yeonjun released a breathy laugh, "Is that a compliment?"

"It came from me, so yeah." Beomgyu giggled as well and hid his face in his arms.

"You're really cute," Yeonjun muttered.

Nothing was keeping them apart tonight. Not their works, not their schedules, not the past, and not even themselves. Tonight, they could most definitely say that the world was theirs to enjoy. With the quietness and tranquility of the sleeping world, they could roam around with no troubles.

Beomgyu was not sitting on top of his desk, Yeonjun stayed seated on his chair. "Remember the time when you asked me to be your prom date using the school's speakers?" Beomgyu asked.

Upon hearing the embarrassing thing he did during the past, he covered his face in shame. His ears were in bright red while Beomgyu continued to tease him, "That was the stupidest thing ever, but..." Beomgyu glanced at Yeonjun with a grin, "it was cute."

"And remember the time when you kept a secret from me?" It was Yeonjun's turn to ask. Beomgyu raised a brow, "What?"

Yeonjun stood up and walked closer to Beomgyu, he stood in between his legs, and with a gravelly voice, he said, "When someone — I don't even want to mention his name — kissed you."

Beomgyu's eyes widened, "What? I never..." he looked down when he realized. Oh my god, was he referring to Jaehyun Hyung? He knew?

"I'm guessing you remember it now," Yeonjun leaned closer and placed his hands on the desk beside Beomgyu's thighs — his face came an inch away from Beomgyu, the younger male gulped.

"W-what..." Beomgyu stared at the elder, "You knew?"

"How?" Beomgyu backed away when Yeonjun leaned a little closer, "Doesn't matter," and Yeonjun's hoarse voice really blended well with the quiet night.

In the shadows and young night, Yeonjun's face was so close to him that he could smell his scent, he smelled like flowers — the blooming fragrance had Beomgyu in a daze. Yeonjun could see his face closely; he could see the younger male's eyelashes that were a great view against his pale skin; the softness of his cheeks was visible under the moonlight that crawled on him.

Yeonjun stared at him and Beomgyu did the same with parted lips. Beomgyu waited patiently, he watched as Yeonjun tilted his head as he moved closer to remove the gaps that came in between a long-missed collision of lips.

It's like they weren't afraid of what may come, as if there were no guards that might catch them and get them in trouble.

They stayed close to each other, in a distance that the both of them loved and longed to be in again.

Beomgyu held his breath.

Yeonjun whispered against Beomgyu's neck, "Let's go home?"

Beomgyu's forehead scrunched up, "What...?"

"I said," Yeonjun smirked, "Let's go home. It's getting late."

Yeonjun brushed his fingers against Beomgyu's cheeks before walking past him, he checked if there were guards in sight and ushered Beomgyu to come over.

Beomgyu couldn't believe it.

✿

They were now in front of the walls again, Yeonjun was positioning the ladder while Beomgyu stood there and waited. His hands were crossed over his chest while watching the elder male.

He remembered what almost happened earlier in the classroom. Was Yeonjun teasing him? Playing with him? Beomgyu sighed in annoyance. It could have happened if Yeonjun was not so playful about it.

Yeonjun was so close to him, too close, a breath and inch away — couldn't he see what he was thinking about back then? Couldn't he see that he wanted him to give Beomgyu something that he would crave for when he's not around? Couldn't he? Or he just didn't want to give it? Beomgyu pouted.

"All right," Yeonjun heaved a breath and turned to look at Beomgyu with a smile, "Let's go."

But Beomgyu stayed on his spot, he only looked at Yeonjun with unreadable eyes. Yeonjun raised his brows, "What's wrong?"

"Hey," Yeonjun held his shoulders, "Are you okay?" His face was creased with worry. Beomgyu frowned while looking at him, "Asshole."

"What—"

Beomgyu pushed him against the wall which made the elder groan, Beomgyu's hands were against the concrete wall, his hands hung low while breathing heavily. Yeonjun asked, "Beomgyu, what's wrong?"

Beomgyu knew he was acting so needy right now, but what was he supposed to do? If Yeonjun can't finish what he started, then he'll do it himself.

"You're such a wimp," Beomgyu muttered before slowly leaning close to Yeonjun's lips and kissing him in the most gentle way possible.

Yeonjun's eyes widened. Beomgyu's lips remained unmoving, his eyes shut with his hands in a fist against the wall. And suddenly, Yeonjun brought his hand up to the back of Beomgyu's head — it crawled on Beomgyu's nape and Yeonjun parted their lips, and again, he pulled the younger male in for another brush of roseate lips.

Slowly, Beomgyu's hands went to Yeonjun's shoulders and stayed there. As their lips continued to move, Beomgyu was left breathless. He felt the butterflies in his stomach going wild and alive. It was close to midnight, the air cold and light against their skin, but they didn't mind. And no, not even the possibility of getting caught by the school guards bothered them. What could compete with a kiss given by the person you love?

Yeonjun moved away and pushed Beomgyu against the wall, Beomgyu breathed heavily — he stared at Yeonjun before resting his head on the crook of his neck, "I thought we're going home?"

"You're the one who kissed me," Yeonjun chuckled, Beomgyu did the same while looking up. Yeonjun held his cheek before grinning, "And I am home," he whispered, "Home sweet home."

Beomgyu giggled as Yeonjun closed the gaps in between them once more. Yeonjun smiled amidst the kiss before he wrapped an arm around the younger male's waist and pulled him closer to his chest, Beomgyu briefly gasped — Yeonjun was quick to seal his lips again with his. They tilted their heads; Beomgyu's arms were around Yeonjun's neck; Yeonjun's hands were on Beomgyu's waist.

Did the stars feel envious? Did the moon also feel it? Could they feel the feeling that was churning in the males' tummies as they kissed under the same sky?

Beomgyu parted ways with Yeonjun's lips and buried his face on Yeonjun's neck, they stayed in that position — quietly feeling and holding the other with gentle hands. They were no longer out of reach from each other, they were close — so who could stop them?

Beomgyu held Yeonjun's warm cheeks, "We won't ever have a last kiss. I won't allow that. After this will come another, and I'm willing to have those endless 'another kiss'  just as long as it's you and only you, Yeonjun."
