Chapter 90: Toast to the Lonely Star
Zhou Hang sent a WeChat message to apologize to Zhou Mushi, saying that he was sorry for causing trouble for him.
Considering the relationship between the two, an apology wasnât really necessary, but a few exchanged words stirred up longing for each other.
After calculating the time with his fingers, they realized they havenât seen each other for a long time. They decided to meet when Zhou Mushi finishes work in a few days and Zhou Hang would come to pick him up.
Zhou Mushi quickly replied to the invitation, continuing to indulge in reading fanfiction about his and Zhou Hangâs relationship under the nickname âZhou Zhouâ.
Everyone knows that Zhou Mushiâs surname is âZhouâ, but nobody knows his full name. In their fanfiction, Zhou Hang has always called him âZhou Zhouâ, which supposedly makes him appear cute.
As an undisclosed and unknown person, his entire persona is filled with imaginative space. In the hands of different authors, âZhou Zhouâ is a different character. But the fact that he is three to five years younger than Zhou Hang has become an almost agreed-upon convention.
Isnât it just one year apart? But itâs a pleasant thing to look young in other peopleâs eyes.
Regardless of how variable âZhou Zhouâ personality is, in all the stories, Brother Zhou Hangâs image is always sunny, warm, understanding, considerate, affectionate, and friendly towards his âlittle brotherâ.
Zhou Mushi laughed as he read. He still remembered how silly Zhou Hang looked as a child. What does that little monkey have to do with all these beautiful words? Itâs almost the same to describe Jin Yang.
Mr. Zhou, who had been reading for hours without feeling tired, suddenly felt an urge to register and write some fan fiction himself.
In the middle of the night, he typed away on his phone, character by character. While others need to think hard to write a decent article, Zhou Mushi didnât. He was too familiar with Zhou Hang to have any trouble writing something that was genuinely heartfelt.
After writing for over an hour with his eyes squinted, he read the touching story of brotherhood he had written about him and Zhou Hang. Even he was moved by the memories of their years together. He clicked âsendâ and it was already 1:30 in the morning.
It was too late for him, and he was too sleepy to stay up any longer. As he fell asleep with even breaths, a soft sigh was heard in the darkness, and then someone helped him tuck in his sheets.
. . . . .
On a workday, Jin Yang rarely makes breakfast for himself at home.
He fries a crispy sandwich, prepares a bowl of lean meat and preserved egg porridge, two fresh and tender corn on the cob, two egg pancakes, and a plate of broccoli. Itâs a nutritious and delicious meal.
Last night, he slept late and had to be called by Jin Yang for the third time to wake up. After yawning and stretching, he went into the bathroom to freshen up.
As soon as he sat down at the table, he picked up his phone to read comments on his own article.
Before Zhou Mushi posted this article, the fans of the âZhou-Zhouâ CP were all very friendly.
The skilled writers were worshipped like gods, and even the young writers with not-so-great writing skills received some likes. Even those who didnât like the story didnât leave too many negative comments.
However, after Zhou Mushi posted the article titled âBrothers in Armsâ, the comments section became a battlefield with two waves of arguments, although it didnât get many bookmarks.
It even have more comments than the most popular article someone else wrote before he went to bed.
The comments are automatically divided into two parts:
âThe large words are delicate, although it is a friendship article, it is really true, and I am so moved after reading it!â
âDamn it, where did this wild chicken come from to add drama to your own story? Our brother Zhou Hang is not the kind of person who has such personality! Get lost, get out of our circle!â
Zhou Mushi has a good mentality, so he wonât be too sensitive to criticism of just a few dozen sentences. Moreover, there is also a wave of people who really like his articles~
While munching on the hand-pulled pancakes, he quickly left messages for his supportive friends, and promised to work harder on writing when he has time.
The bowl of plain-looking preserved egg and lean meat porridge was carefully cooked by the person across the table an hour in advance.
Even the sandwich slices were specially cut to the size that Zhou Mushi likes. When frying broccoli, knowing that he doesnât like the taste of broccoli fried with soybean oil, Jin Yang replaced it with corn oil.
The plate that was holding the broccoli was also intentionally decorated with two small tomatoes, but Zhou Mushi didnât notice any of it.
He didnât even notice Jin Yangâs happiness turning into sadness as he welcomed him to eat.
With work being slow in the company, Zhou Mushi always found himself diving into his beloved CP fandom to fill his time.
The sugar and knife produced by the fans were all so delicious!
Zhou Mushi looked through each page, intending to learn from the fans, but still struggled to write about the romantic relationship between him and Zhou Hang.
So, after âBrothers in Armsâ, a new chapter was born, âChildhood Friends.â
This Little Stone1 is definitely a gem in the âZhou Zhouâ fandom.
As all the skilled writers were writing sweet and affectionate stories about Zhou Hang and his little brother, Zhou Zhou, full of love and deep emotion.
Under the pen of Little Stone, the story unfolds in straightforward, unemotional, and factual manner almost like a financial statement. Narrating the love woes of two heartbroken individuals who sit together and eat noodles with Laoganma chili sauce, while calling each other âbrain-deadâ.
The key moment comes after they finish their meal and Laoganma chili sauce ends up in bed with the realization that the other person is actually their true love!
But then the story takes a strange turn, as Little Stone depicts the two individuals finishing their argument and going to bed in separate rooms.
As expected, the comments section was filled with cries of disbelief and outrage after this story was published.
âIt was particularly immersive and felt very real, but⦠someone wrote a bloody book. Can you please give us some sugar? Iâm sure whatever you write will be especially beautiful!â
Two bloody story!
Three bloody story!
. . .
Fifty-six bloody story!
Fifty-seven bloody story!
. . .
When Zhou Mushi finished work, the number of people requesting sugar had exceeded a hundred.
After hurriedly taking a shower and eating a few bites of food at home, Zhou Mushi quickly slipped into his study, turned on his computer, and began typing on the keyboard.
âThe little cuties call me âdadaâ, so how could I be lazy and let them down?â Zhou Mushi thought to himself, and so his passion for typing intensified.
When Jin Yang finished work, he specially drove to a distant supermarket to buy jelly that Zhou Mushi liked and was rarely sold in other places. After washing the dishes, he hadnât had a chance to give it to him yet, but the person in the living room had already disappeared.
Sitting alone on the sofa, he inadvertently saw a bright round moon surrounded by stars outside.
The moon was not wrong, nor were the stars, so what was wrong?
Jin Yang couldnât figure it out.
He found a faint little star far, far away from the moon and the star cluster in the night sky.
He took a can of beer from the refrigerator and raised his glass to toast the lonely star!
