Chapter 54: Waste a Chance

Zhou Mushi, who emits a hint of unruliness in his seriousness, is really difficult to argue with. There’s nothing wrong with what he says, but his ambiguous gaze always suggests something more than meets the eye, making things seem more complicated than they appear.

As the other party in the collaboration, Ms. Linda from the Hehui Group naturally spent more time with the Zhou Group. She had tried to proposition Jin Yang with a straight face to sleep together before discussing any romantic relationship five years ago, but unfortunately failed on the spot.

After all these years, she changed her strategy to be an attractive successful women in the workplace. Even though the ultimate goal is the same, having an outstanding female CEO as a collaborative partner is much more attractive to men than having to sell one’s body as a wealthy benefactor during a corporate crisis.

When Linda walked into the Zhou Group wearing silver high heels that were neither too high nor too low, she never imagined that the office of Jin, the director of Yucheng Group, would be located inside the President Zhou Mushi’s office .

This… no other company would do such a thing, right?

Zhou Mushi gave her a charming smile and reached out his hand, saying “Welcome to come over for work inspection.”

Linda had no choice but to shake Zhou Mushi’s hand. “The arrangement of this office area by President Zhou is quite interesting,” she said politely.

Zhou Mushi narrowed his eyes and smiled, saying, “This is all to give your company the perfect response. Isn’t it just a matter of having Director Jin and me sitting in the same office to discuss the details at any time?” Jin Yang stood on the side, watching as this person spoke nonsense with his eyes wide open, thinking: I wonder who it was that treated the cooperation documents so carelessly when they first arrived.

Before, Zhou Mushi was such an upright person, but how is it that now he can casually say things that as if they are true?

“Do you feel wronged, Director Jin?” The person said, even tilting his head and smiling as he asked Jin Yang.

“Everything President Zhou said was for the sake of cooperation. Besides, if I still felt wronged in the office of the Zhou’s President, then I would be difficult to please.”

“As long as you don’t feel wronged.” Zhou Mushi blinked at him, which seemed like they had some kind of unique code to others.

Linda is a savvy person who has gained her expertise from working in bussiness. She can easily see through these things, so she lifted the documents in her hand.

“President Zhou, would you mind going to the conference room to discuss other contracts?”

Zhou Mushi nodded, “Of course.”

The two of them walked out of the President’s office side by side. Jin Yang watched the backs of the handsome man and the beautiful woman, feeling a hint of tension in the air.

Linda flipped through the documents in her hand and casually said, “Why does the cooperation have to involve Director Jin? I’ve already discussed it with Mr. Zhou. I didn’t expect your company to be so persistent and able to snatch half of the partnership rights from Yucheng Group. To be honest, I’m quite interested. I wonder how the Yucheng Group’s President is willing to share a piece of the pie with your company?”

Zhou Mushi’s fingers lightly tapped the corner of the folder, and ripples of water appeared in his gaze. Despite his young and handsome face and the smile that overflowed from the corner of his mouth, there was a sense of maturity that made him not so easy to deal with.

“To be honest, after you spoke to me last time, I thought you were right and had a good eye for people. Coincidentally, my father also had a high opinion of Director Jin recently. So I thought, there aren’t many good men these days, so why waste a chance?”

Linda asked, “What do you mean?”
