Chapter 16

Writer's POV

It's been fifteen days since Khushi didn't go to the office, and today her office leave is completed.

She woke up when the alarm yelled at her to wake up. She yawned and stretched her arms, got up from her bed, and went to the bathroom to do her morning chores. She dressed up with a blue top and a black pencil skirt, combed and tied her waist- length hair into a ponytail, and went downstairs to have her breakfast.

Her mom and her sister, Divya, were waiting for her. "Good morning, mom. Good morning, Divi," she wished them and sat beside Divya.

"Good morning, Khushi. Good morning, Di" they said with a warm smile as they began eating their breakfast.

After having breakfast, she bid them goodbye and made her way to the office. These fifteen days she didn't get proper sleep by thinking about that deal. She was feeling uneasy about going to the office.

As soon as she entered the office, Saira came and gave her a bone-crushing hug. "Hey, Khushi, how are you and your mom? I missed you so much!" Saira asks without leaving her.

"I-I ca-can't bre-breathe" she immediately left me and said sorry by giving her a sheepish smile. Khushi shook her head and laughed at Saira's excitement.

"Tell me, Khushi, how is Aunty?" Saira again asked her.

She said, "Mom is fine now," giving her a warm smile, and started going to her cabin. "Where is Zanvil?" Khushi asked Saira, opened her cabin door and kept her bag on one chair.

"Maybe flirting with some girls," Saira said, and sat down on one chair. Khushi sighed and also sat in her chair.

"See you later, Khushi. I am going. Mr. Malhotra must have come." Saira left from there, and Khushi started doing her work.

Shourya's POV

I got up at 8:00 and went to the bathroom to do my morning chores. After coming out of the bathroom, I wore my white shirt and blue blazer.

After having my breakfast, I went directly to the office. While going to my cabin, I saw Khushi's cabin door was open. That means she has come today. I glanced inside. She was busy on her laptop, typing something.

I knocked once and went directly inside. She looked at me and immediately got up. She was looking beautiful in a blue top and a black pencil skirt.

She was looking at me with a shocked expression. Now why is she looking at me like that, as if I am some kind of alien? This girl... I really hate her.

"Good morning, Mr. Kapoor," she said, composing herself.

"Miss. Raichandr, this is not your waitress work to take fifteen days leave. Because of you, a lot of work is pending." I said it with a cold tone.

Her eyes widened.

"Actually, my-"

"Come to my cabin and take those files  that are kept on my table and complete the work," I said, and I went to my cabin.

Hahaha, now my pending mission 'kick Kushi out of the company' starts from today.

I went and sat in my chair. There was a knock on my cabin door, "Come in."

Khushi entered my cabin.

"Here, take these files," I said, glaring at her, "and I want this work completed by tomorrow," I said.

She nodded her head, "Yes, sir."

She collected those files and left my cabin.

Khushi's POV

That monster will never change. Now he has started to give me a lot of work again.

When that monster entered my cabin, I was shocked to see him. Suddenly, that deal that Mr. Umesh Kapoor made with me came to my mind. I composed myself from my shocked expression and greeted him, but instead of greeting me back, he started to taunt me with his cold tone and told me to complete the work that was pending 'because of me'.

When I went to his cabin, he gave me at least fifteen files. One day, he will give me a heart attack.

I took those files silently because I knew if I say anything, he would humiliate me, so I kept quiet and took those files and went from there.

"Khushi, come, let's go for lunch. How much will you work? Just take some rest," Saira entered my cabin and said.

Only if you know Saira....that devil will kill me one day by giving me lots of work.

I glanced at my watch. It was already lunchtime. Because of  work, I didn't realise that it was already lunchtime.

"Yes, Saira, just give me two minutes," I said, and I closed the file and kept it in my drawer, turned off my laptop, and got up.

"Let's go," I said, and we both made our way to the canteen.

"Hey, beautiful!" As soon as we entered  the canteen, Zanvil came and hugged me. "Beautiful, how are you? I missed you so much!"

"I am fine, Zan. I also missed you both a lot," I said, and we sat at one table. Zanvil sat to my right, and Saira to my left.

My eyes landed on the canteen door.  Rahul and Shourya were standing there. That devil was glaring at me.

Now what did I do?

"Hi Khushi, how are you?" Rahul came towards our table and asked me, giving me a smile, and that devil was standing three metres away from us. He was still giving me an angry glare.

I averted my gaze from him and looked at Rahul. "I am fine, Mr. Malhotra..thank you," I gave him a smile. He is a sweet person, unlike that monster.

"Can we sit here with you all?" Rahul asked us.

"Yes, Mr. Malhotra, you can sit here," Saira said with excitement.

"Come, Shourya, let's sit with them," Rahul said to Shourya and sat opposite to Saira. Shourya came and sat opposite to me.

"Let's order something," Zanvil said, and he called the waiter.

We ordered our lunch and started talking. I was just giving short answers, or I was just nodding my head.

That monster's eyes were still on me.

Zanvil started with his jokes, which made me laugh.

"Khushi, why were you not coming to the office?" Rahul asked me.

"Actually, my mom was not well, and she was in the hospital."

"How is she now?" Rahul asked me with concern.

"She is fine now," I said with a smile.

Later, our order came, and we started eating.

Till now, Shourya hadn't uttered a  word. He was busy giving me an angry look.

"Zan, please, can you pass me a glass of water?" I asked Zanvil after having food. He nodded, but before him, Shourya passed me a glass.

I looked at him in shock.

That cold look was still there on his face.

"Thank you," I took that glass from him with hesitation and thanked him, but he got up from his chair and left.

Idiot.

"Guys, sorry, I also have to go now," Rahul said, while getting up from his chair.

"It's ok, Mr. Malhotra," I said, and he went behind that monster.

I went to my cabin and started doing my work. My office phone started ringing, "Hello"

"In my cabin NOW!" that monster said, and hung up the phone.

Now what happened to him?
