Chapter 9

Khushi's POV

When I was checking some files, my office phone started ringing. "Hello, how ca-"

"Come to my cabin NOW!" he ordered  and cut the call.

That monster will not even let me breathe properly.

In the morning, he was giving me the 'I am going to kill you' look. I don't know from which world that monster came from.

I hurriedly got up to go to his cabin. I am really scared of him. I don't know what is waiting for me in his cabin.

I took a long breath and knocked on the door. I entered his cabin when I heard him say "come in."

I took a small step and stood in front of his table.

"Welcome, Miss. Raichandr" he said and stood up and started coming near me.

Oh god, why is he coming near me?

God, please save me from this monster.

I prayed in my mind and took two steps back, but he grabbed my arm tightly.

"I told you not to come in front of me next time, then what are you doing in my company?" He said, by tightening his hold on my arm.

I kept quiet.

"Oh, dad has appointed you as a staff accountant, then let's see how many days you will work here," he continued by gritting his teeth, leaving my arm.

I looked at my arm, which has become red now. I started rubbing it to soothe the pain.

What's his problem?

When I turned my gaze to him, he was already looking at my arm. He then turned and sat in his chair.

"And Miss. Raichandr, so you are going to work here. I don't tolerate any mistakes from my employees. So be careful. I don't spare people who mess with me, remember that," he said that last part looking directly into my eyes.

God, why is he so scary?

"Understand?"

I nodded my head.

"I want my answers from your mouth, Miss. Raichandr! Don't move your head like a cow," he said, raising his voice, making me flinch a little.

"Y-yes, Mr. Kapoor," I said with my trembling voice.

"Good, now you can go," he said, an evil smirk playing on his face. I hurriedly turned to leave from his hell.

When I was about to open the door, he called me, "Miss. Raichandr," I turned around, and he continued, "enjoy only these few days of yours."

I frowned and came to my cabin.

Why did he say that? Is he going to fire me from my job?

I shook my head and started doing my work.

"Hi, Khushi," Saira came and sat in front of me.

"Saira, what are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Rahul sir asked me to give you this file, and, by the way, it's lunchtime now. Are you not going to have your lunch?"

I took that file and glanced at my watch. It was already 1:00 p.m.

"Only a little work is remaining, after that, I will go to have lunch," I said, and I started doing the work that was left.

"Ok, I am waiting for you here, please complete your little work fast. I am hungry," she said, rolling her eyes.

I chuckled looking at her grumpy face.

I completed my work and shut down my laptop. "Let's go," I said to Saira while getting up from my chair.

"OK"

We both went to a canteen and took seats near the window. We both ordered fried rice and chicken salad.

"Hello, beautiful girls,"

One tall boy in his twenties came and stood beside our table. He was handsome with hazel brown eyes. His dark hair was perfectly set with gel. He was looking at us with a dimpled smile.

"Hi," Saira said, and I gave him a smile.

"Can I sit here with you two?" He asked with a smile, pointing at the empty chair beside me.

"Yes, please sit," I said.

"By the way, I am Zanvil. You beautiful girls can call me Zan," he said by winking at us and reaching out his hand for a handshake.

I shook my hand with him.

"I am Khushi" I introduced myself.

He then shook his hand with Saira. She introduced herself by giving him a big smile, and he also smiled at her by showing his cute dimples.

He ordered his food and started talking with us: "Saira, you are the PA of Rahul sir, right?"

Saira nodded, smiling.

Then he looked at me, "and you, Khushi?"

"I am a staff accountant."

"Oh, so you are in the accounts department like me?"

"Are you also in the same department?" I asked.

He nodded. "I am also an interior designer."

My eyes widened: "So that means you designed my cabin?" I asked him in disbelief.

"Yes"

"It's really beautiful.. you are multi-talented, Zanvil," I praised him.

"Thank you, thank you. I have been  multi-talented since childhood but never boasted." He said giving me that cute smile, winking at me, which made us laugh.

Soon our food arrived, and we had our food while talking.

Zanvil is a friendly, honest and jolly type of person. He made us laugh by telling his jokes. For some time, I forgot everything that happened today. He really knows how to make others laugh.

After having our lunch, I went to my cabin.

When I was about to sit down, my office phone rang. "Hel-"

"Come to my cabin now," he said and cut the call.

Now what happened to him?

I feel like banging his head somewhere.

I knock at his door.

"come in."

I went inside and stood in front of his table.

"Mr. Kapoor-" I think he only knows how to cut others sentences in the middle and to scare others.

Monster

"Read this file, and I want the report of this before 3:00 p.m" he said with a cold tone and forwarded two files on a table.

"Mr. Kapoor, that's too early, how will I be able to read and write everything in half an hour?" I asked him in a low tone, and I looked down.

"Miss. Raichandr, I don't like to hear silly excuses like that! If you don't want to work, then you can leave your job," he yelled at me.

Doesn't he know how to talk with people nicely? How can I read and write the reports from two files in half an hour? I think he hit his head somewhere.

"If your thinking session is complete, then you can go, and don't forget, I want that report at 3:00 pm," he said in a cold tone and started doing his work.

I nodded my head and went to my cabin.

I was feeling like I should throw those files on his head and run from there.

Idiot.

I know he is doing this intentionally just to take revenge on me.

A Heartless monster.

I sat in my chair and started reading one file.

I glanced at my watch, it was 2:45 p.m.

Oh god, only fifteen minutes are left, and one more file is there to read. What will I do now?

God, please help me, if I don't submit this work to him on time, then that monster will eat me alive.
