Part 19

'Guess the saying is true that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. I'll make sure you are well fed Jungkook.' Nitu thinks in her mind & smiles bashfully.

But her smile drops the moment, they reach the food stall.

"Looks like you have been starving for days now. Am I right dramatic sh*t?"

Taehyung who was in the midst of eating another aloo tikki(potato pattie), stops & gave Jungkook a nasty look. "Has no one taught you that you shouldn't interrupt someone when they're eating."

"No. No one taught me that."

Taehyung rolles his eyes in annoyance. Nitu who felt left out in their conversation, tried to talk in between.

"Hey Tae. Long time no see."

"Oh! Is that you Nitu? Hey i didn't notice you." Taehyung smiles but Nitu felt humiliated. She thought taehyung is pretending to not know her.

"You two know each other?" Jungkook asks.

"Yes.. -"

"Yes. Nitu & I were seatmates in botanical class." Taehyung said not scencing that Nitu was about to say the same. Then he asked the stall vendor to give him another plate of aloo tikki.

"Dramatic sh*t if you eat this much, your stomach will burst like a balloon." Jungkook laughs. Taehyung looks at him with bored eyes. "Are you done taunting me like one of those nosey aunties. Then hold this, it's for you & Nitu not me."

Jungkook made a 'ohh' sound & take the plate from him.

"No Taehyung. You shouldn't buy stuff from street vendors. They're so unhealthy & unhygienic. I won't eat that." Nitu made a disgusted face.

Hearing her mean words the stall man looked very upset. Both Taehyung & Jungkook noticed that. So Jungkook tried to cheer him up. "It's not always unhygienic or unhealthy. See he is even wearing gloves & cap to maintain cleanliness." The man nod & smiles at him.

"Yeah Jungkook is right. And it's not about health, it's about tasty food. Food that makes us happy." Taehyung said & gave a bright encouraging smile to the man & he blushed a little. "Aww look his cheeks turned red. He likes being complimented." He cooes.

"By the way Taehyung why didn't you eat in the house. Don't tell me you don't like your own cooking." Jungkook said as he took a bite of the aloo tikki. "Hmm this is super tasty."

"Yes there is but that is for the children. And then I saw this vendor who was waiting for any customer for a long time but no one showed up. So i came here to try his food. And to my luck, it is very tasty & I couldn't control myself."

"This beautiful angel here already ate 5 plates of my aloo tikki. Thank you so much son." The man praise Taehyung.

"5 plates!! Then I should eat 6, I won't lose to you dramatic sh*t."

"O shut up Mr. Bunny this isn't a competition."

"Yes it is. Bhya(Brother) make 2 more plates please."

The man happily obeliged. Taekook started to have a food war between them. In between Jungkook would purposefully pass his share in Taehyung's plate to make it full while his plate becomes empty.

"Ah! That's cheating Mr. Bunny. Bhya you're the referee, you must cut his points."

"Everything is fair in love & war, senorita."

"O yeah! then here open your mouth wide." Taehyung put a large bite of food in Jungkook's mouth. "Don't you dare to spit it out Jungkook, don't waste food." Then he laughs looking at Jungkook's puffed out cheeks full of food. He was unable to chew properly making his eyes water.

In their bickering & food war they failed to notice the absence of Nitu. She couldn't handle it anymore. Taekook were behaving as if she didn't exist. They totally ignored her presence because of their silly food fight. She took fast steps towards the house, pushing a small poor child in her way.

"Eww, don't touch me you poor fellow. Get lost from here!!." She shout at him, fuming in anger then move to her destination.

"Where did Nitu go...?" Jungkook looks around but didn't find her. "Tae did you see Nitu anywhere..?"

He asks Taehyung but when he didn't get any reply, he saw that Taehyung was also gone. He hit his forehead for of his own carelessness. He then thought of going back to the vendor & ask him about them. When he reached there he got to see a very lovely sight.

A small child was crying loudly, big drops of tear slipping from his eyes. And so Taehyung made him sit on his lap & then wipes his tears stained cheeks.

"Omo little baby. Why are you crying, please don't cry it breaks my heart." He cooes at the child.

The child cries even louder then hugs Taehyung tightly. "Hic... Hic... I-im sorry angel.... For b-brea-king your heart.."

"Hey it's ok. Tell me what happened?"

"A big bad l-lady pushed m-me... & then shouted at me.. Hic.. She told me to ge-t los-t.. Hic... I'm s-scared." Taehyung felt bad for the little kid. How can someone be so cruel to such a sweet & small child. He rubbed his back slowly to make him stop crying.

"It's ok im here. No one will shout at you anymore. Now stop crying, please~."

"Yes stop crying & I will buy you some tasty aloo tikki." Taehyung raised his head to the voice. It was Jungkook. He came near them & pat the little boys head. The boy faced him with big eyes pooling with tears.

"R-really?" Jungkook nods. He then feeds the kid with his own hands. Meanwhile Taehyung felt a small tug at his heart, & butterflies flying in his tummy. He didn't notice but his look towards Jungkook is now turning into a long stare.

Therefore he was surprised when the little kid on his lap suddenly kissed his cheek. "Huh! What was that, baby?" He smiles.

The child smiles showing all his tiny teeth. "This bhya(Big brother) told me that if I kiss you, your broken heart will be fixed faster. So I kissed you. Do you feel better now?" He asks with big questioning eyes. Taehyung was genuinely amazed at the kid's innocence. He was actually so concerned about his broken heart, & wanted to fix it.

"Maybe you need more kisses to fix it." Saying so he proceeds to kiss Taehyung's other cheek, his both eyes, his forehead & lastly his nose. Taehyung can't help but giggle at this act of innocent affection.

"O god. It's tickles baby.. Stop."

"Bhya you should also kiss angel then he will feel more better." The kid calls Jungkook who widens his eyes.

"Me. Why me?"

"Because more kisses will heal angels heart immediately." He looked very proud after he made that suggestion. "Now come fast & kiss angel."

"No baby that's not needed...-" Taehyung was saying but got interrupted when he felt a small feature like touch on his forehead.

Jungkook didn't know how but his body moved on its own & he placed a small kiss on Taehyung's forehead. "I'm sure this will heal your broken heart faster, dramatic sh-...." He stops when Taehyung glares at him & points at the child. "*ahem* .. Dramatic angel." He completes his sentence.

"Now off you go. Go to your friends, bye." Taehyung puts the child down, then pats his bum lightly. The kid gave taekook a big smile, waving his small hand at them, then ran back to his friends.

Taehyung then squints his eyes at Jungkook. "Seriously My. Bunny, you were going to curse in front of a small innocent child!" His hands were on his hips as if he is a teacher scolding a naughty student.

Jungkook holds both his ears & says cutely. "Sorry angel. Adat se majboor~."

(Sorry angel. It's out of habit~.)

Then both of them laugh at their childish behavior.

Meanwhile the stall vendor was looking at Taekook with fond eyes. He witnessed how both of them took care of the little child so gently. He thought that the two of them will be great parents in the future as well as perfect life partners. He just prays to the Almighty God to bless them with happiness.

I know I know, you must be thinking that this story is going no where. But trust me the real shit is about to happen soon.

These were all filler chapters for building up the base of the plot. It was also necessary to show the progressive attraction between Taekook. So be prepared because from the next part/chapter, the real fun begins. 😈
