Chapter 16:Take Your Time

Rushing to Vador's study "Mykel is dead," she said slamming the door.

"Seems like it," Vador laughed not looking up.

"Did you kill him?" praying to hear a NO she closed her eyes for a second.

"Yes," Vador replied finally looking up at her.

At this point Ava was confused. Did he kill an innocent vampire just because he had called her ugly. It wasn't right,that was a really foolish thing to do.

"Any problem?" He asked.

"What do you mean by any problem? Can’t you see that what you did was wrong. Do I really need to start teaching you right from wrong now?!” Ava lamented.

“Do not fucking shout at me,” Vador spat standing up. “You know this is the problem with you,you want everything pure and perfect. I am full of shits and you’re aware of that. I am not capable of changing my ways,it’s how I’ve been living even before you were born.This is me Ava.”

“You are capable of so much more than you think dark lord,” Ava replied hitting Vador on his shoulders with her fingers.

“He humiliated you, he humiliated me. He called you ugly and you expect me to just let him live?”

“You disgust me my lord,” She said hurrying out of the study Ava went to see Aleister in his office ,she always went to see him anytime she had problems with Vador,she saw him as a dad “He killed Mykel," She threw her hands up.

"Yes. So I heard,Vador is a very troubled youth. He will do everything to protect the ones he really care for and sometimes the things he does are always in excess but that’s just Vador for you. That is how he expresses himself. Have you heard the story of the dark lord?"

"No," Ava didn’t forget the story her mother told her and Emma. She just wanted to here Aleister talk about it?she could never forget the story her mother told her before her whole family was killed. She had thought it was a joke."I think he's trying so hard to be what he's not Alei or is this who he really is?”

“Well,just like you Vador also lost his family in one night and since then the responsibility to protect all vampires was given to him. It’s not easy damsel. Everyone is counting on him. One wrong step and it could go all wrong”

“It’s normal to engage in responsibilities but what does that have to do with him being dark and the actions he takes without considering anyone else but himself?”

“The dark lord. He didn’t create the name, he earned the name. It was given to him. Damsel I really can’t explain too deep but know that the crown had darkness attached to it and Vador had no choice but to bear that darkness along side the crown. Remember he didn’t ask for this,it was given to him.”

“I’m really trying to understand him Alei,I swear. I want to be there for him too. I want to help him change”

“Then do just that damsel,don’t hesitate. Take your time too.”
