Hey, my beautiful readers!
I know you've been waiting for a while, and I want to thank you for your patience and support during this time. As I shared with you earlier, I tested positive for dengue, which kept me from posting any new chapters. But I'm back now, feeling better, and ready to bring you a brand-new chapter.
Thank you all for being so understanding!
Naina pov
The morning light gently filtered through the curtains, I stirred awake, feeling an undeniable warmth in the air. It was a new day, yet it felt deeply familiar, like a beautiful echo of the night before. My cheeks flushed as the memories washed over me. How could I have been so open? The thought made me hide my face in the pillow, feeling a wave of shyness envelop me.
With a deep breath, I opened my eyes and found Ansh lying beside me, his gaze fixed on me with that irresistible, lazy smile. "Good morning, kitten," he said softly, his voice warm and inviting. A delightful shiver ran through me as I met his eyes, full of affection and mischief.
Turning my head slightly, I noticed Rudra standing by the window, his back to us as he spoke on the phone. His voice was low and commanding, a presence that felt both protective and thrilling. I took a moment to admire him, a slight smile creeping onto my lips.
Gathering my courage, I whispered, "Good morning, husband." The words felt special, filled with an intimacy that made my heart flutter. Ansh's smile widened, clearly pleased, but before I could say more, Rudra turned around, his attention now focused on me.
With a playful grin, he stepped closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Good morning, brat," he teased, leaning in as if to plant a kiss on my forehead. My heart raced, and I instinctively put my hand on his chest, laughing softly. "I'm a mess," I admitted, suddenly self-conscious about my disheveled appearance.
Rudra chuckled, a knowing glint in his eyes. "A beautiful mess," he replied, his tone smooth and affectionate. Ansh joined in the laughter, clearly enjoying our playful banter.
They exchanged a glance, a silent understanding passing between them before they prepared to leave for the day. I remained in bed for a moment longer, surrounded by the warmth of the sheets and the lingering essence of their presence. My body ached pleasantly, a reminder of the closeness we shared, and beneath that weariness was a yearning-an undeniable desire for their companionship.
Once they left the room, I let out a soft sigh, sinking deeper into the covers. The echoes of last night wrapped around me, and despite the ache, I felt an intense longing for more-more moments like that, more laughter, and more of the connection that left me feeling cherished and alive.
After laying in bed for a few more moments, I finally pushed myself to get up. The ache in my body was still there, a reminder of the intensity of last night, but it only fueled my energy for the day ahead. I freshened up, splashing cool water on my face as I smiled to myself, feeling both nervous and excited. The day felt new, and I was eager to start it.
I headed to the kitchen, deciding to cook something to ground myself. Cooking always brought me peace, a way to clear my head. As I chopped vegetables and stirred the pot, my phone buzzed on the counter. It was Ranita, the underboss's wife, and my new friend. I knew making friends in this mafia family came with risks, but there was something about Ranita I genuinely liked.
She sounded excited when she spoke. "Hey, we're all meeting up for some fun later. You want to join us?" Her voice was playful, and I could sense the mischief behind her words. I hesitated for a moment, but then smiled, the thought of getting out and enjoying myself felt refreshing. "Yes, I'd love to," I replied.
As the day passed, I found myself slipping into a beautiful red dress that clung to me perfectly, the color bold and striking. It was time to meet them. Manoj and Armaan accompanied me, as they always did, my loyal guards never too far behind. It was common for us to travel with security, especially in this world where danger was never too far.
When we arrived at the restaurant, I stepped inside and immediately noticed the place was empty, save for the discreet guards stationed around the room. It wasn't unusual for a place like this to be cleared out for private gatherings. My eyes swept the room, catching glimpses of familiar faces-Ranita, and the other underboss's wives, all of them seated, waiting for me.
As I approached the table, I spotted Ranita and Urvi sitting together, both of them smiling warmly as they saw me. The rest of the table was filled with other beautiful women, all elegant and poised. I recognized some of them from my wedding day and the grand party afterward. Their faces were familiar, though some carried serious expressions as they glanced at me. It was clear that the weight of my new title, as their capo's wife, hung in the air.
I took a deep breath and smiled as I sat beside Ranita, hoping to ease the tension. "Hey everyone," I greeted, my voice light and cheerful. "I know, I know-I'm your capo's wife, but please, don't be so serious! We can all be friends, right?"
For a moment, there was a pause, and then I saw a few of the women exchange glances. Slowly, the corners of their mouths began to lift, some of them chuckling softly. Ranita gave me a knowing wink, clearly amused by my attempt to break the ice.
I leaned in a little, teasingly whispering, "You don't have to be on guard with me. I promise, I won't bite!" That earned a round of laughter from the table, and the atmosphere shifted instantly. The tension melted away, and I could see the women beginning to relax, their smiles becoming more genuine.
One of the ladies, who had previously been serious, spoke up. "We weren't sure how to act around you... you know, being the boss's wife and all."
I waved my hand dismissively, laughing softly. "Well, today, I'm just Naina. And I'm here to have a good time with all of you."
The group seemed to loosen up, nodding in agreement, and soon, the conversation flowed more easily. It felt good to be welcomed, not just as the capo's wife, but as part of their circle.
Two waiters approached our table, carrying trays filled with Italian and Chinese dishes, along with a generous plate of pan-fried momos I had ordered. I couldn't help but grin; I loved them, and Ranita laughed as she caught my excitement. Just as we began to dig in, Ranita turned to introduce me to some of the other women at the table.
"This is Sweety, this is Antra, this is Mouni, and this is Kajol," she said, pointing to each of them. Then, with a playful smile, she added, "And of course, you all know Naina."
Kajol laughed softly and gave me a teasing look. "Oh, we know her," she said. "She's our boss lady-the one who handles not just one but both our capos."
At her words, I felt a blush spread across my cheeks, which only made the others chuckle. Urvi leaned in, raising her brows with a smirk. "Look at that blush! And we can see the evidence too," she teased, nodding toward a faint mark on my neck.
I tried to cover it quickly, smiling shyly as laughter filled the table. But Mouni cleared her throat, and her expression grew serious. "Alright, maybe we shouldn't joke about it," she said quietly. "We all know how cruel these mafia men can be. They love their power more than anything and often care only about themselves."
The laughter faded, replaced by an uncomfortable silence as everyone shifted uncomfortably. I could see the worry etched on their faces; I understood where it came from. But I also knew I was lucky-Ansh and Rudra genuinely cared for me, even if that was rare in this world. Still, I kept my thoughts to myself, not wanting to reveal too much.
I gave a small sigh, pretending to agree with Mouni. "Yes, that's the life we have," I said, a hint of irony in my voice. "Just a beautiful showcase in their lives." It was a careful response, one that wouldn't stir suspicions.
The women nodded in understanding, each with a knowing look, and we let the moment pass.
As I glanced around the table, my eyes caught sight of Mouni's hand resting on the table, a faded burn mark visible on her skin. My heart sank as I pieced together what it meant. Her husband's cruelty was written there, clear as day. I wanted to reach out, to say something comforting, but I knew the limits of our world. Even Ansh and Rudra couldn't interfere; it was considered "internal family matters." In this life, some men believed that hurting their wives somehow reinforced their power. I thought they were fools.
Ranita must have noticed my tension, because she quickly started a new conversation. She looked around the table, her expression a mix of excitement and curiosity, and then turned to me. "Alright, ladies," she began, her tone playful yet focused. "We're here for a special reason, Naina, and we'd like to talk to you about it."
I felt everyone's eyes on me, and a ripple of anticipation filled the air. I straightened a bit, intrigued and a little curious myself, wondering what they had in mind.
Kajol took a deep breath and leaned forward, her eyes meeting mine with a serious, almost hopeful expression. "Actually, Naina," she began, "we know you don't know all of us very well yet, but... this is important. You're our capo's wife, so we thought you might be able to help us."
I felt the weight of her words and nodded slowly, giving her a reassuring smile. "Alright, tell me," I replied softly. "I'll do whatever I can to help."
Mouni's gaze dropped slightly, her fingers fidgeting as she found the courage to speak. "You know, in our world, there's no policy allowing for divorce. But maybe times can change..." Her voice grew softer, a touch of vulnerability slipping through. "If a couple doesn't want to stay together, there should be a way for them to separate. We thought maybe you could talk to your husbands about it."
The table grew silent, the hope in their faces palpable, yet cautious. "Please, don't mention our names," Mouni added quickly, her eyes pleading. "If something like this could happen... we'd be forever grateful to you. And know that we'd always stand by your side."
I looked around at the women, feeling the depth of their unspoken stories in their eyes. This was more than a request; it was a glimpse of the freedom they dreamed of, even if quietly. "I understand," I said, my voice steady. "I'll see what I can do."
After Mouni whispered her thanks, she raised her glass with a soft smile. "Alright, enough of the serious stuff-let's enjoy our meal." Just as I took a bite, Ranita leaned over with a mischievous grin. "So... you three sleep together?" she asked, raising an eyebrow playfully. "Why does that sound so... intense?"
I nearly choked, struggling to swallow as I blinked in surprise. Before I could recover, Urvi jumped in, laughing. "Oh, let her eat, Ranita! But I'll admit, it does sound intense." She winked at me, and the other women joined in, all looking at me with expectant, teasing smiles.
I felt my cheeks heat up, unable to hide my blush. "Yes, we... we sleep together," I finally admitted, trying to keep my tone casual.
They all gasped in unison. "Oh my god!" they exclaimed, giggling like schoolgirls. Urvi leaned in, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. "I want details! I've never done anything like that."
I hid my face in my hands, feeling the blush spread even further. "Shut up, you girls!" I laughed, shaking my head, but the warmth of their laughter surrounded me, making me feel closer to them than ever.
Once we'd finished our meal, we said our goodbyes, each of us heading home with smiles and lighter hearts. I felt a renewed sense of strength and support as I made my way to Rudra and Ansh's office, ready to share what I could and see them again.
When I entered the towering office building and approached the reception desk, the receptionist greeted me warmly. "Hello, Mrs. Singh, how are you?"
I nodded with a small smile. "I'm okay. I'd like to meet with Rudra and Ansh."
"Of course," she replied, quickly stepping out from behind the desk. "I'll lead the way."
As we walked through the grand hallway, I noticed people glancing my way, their eyes quickly dropping in respect as they bent their heads or whispered in hushed tones. It was still strange, realizing the power my name held in this world, but I kept my expression neutral, focusing on the path ahead.
The receptionist led me to an area with a row of polished desks, stopping in front of one where a strikingly beautiful woman sat, typing efficiently. The woman's eyes flickered up to me as we approached, but her smile didn't quite reach her eyes, a hint of something unreadable lurking there.
"Mrs. Singh would like to meet with the boss," the receptionist announced, glancing at the woman, who nodded with polite professionalism.
"Hello, ma'am. I'm Niddhi, Mr. Singh's secretary," she said smoothly. "I'll inform him that you're here."
I offered her a polite nod, noticing her eyes following me as I turned toward the office doors. There was something in her gaze I couldn't quite place, a mix of courtesy and... something else. Shrugging off the thought, I moved forward, stopping at the large, mahogany door and knocked softly.
As I stepped into the room, I saw Rudra at his desk, speaking intently with a man across from him. Their conversation seemed serious, their tones low and intense. The man straightened as I entered, and Rudra glanced my way, his expression softening for a brief moment. Then he looked back at the man, his voice firm. "I need him today. Do whatever it takes."
"Yes, sir," the man replied, nodding before he exited the room. I walked around Rudra's desk, studying his face with a hint of concern. "Is there a problem?" I asked, trying to read his guarded expression.
"There's nothing you need to worry about," he replied dismissively, his tone casual. "So... why are you here?"
I took a breath, meeting his gaze. "I was just checking out your office," I said with a little smile. "Maybe you could give me some position here-I'm bored staying home all the time."
He raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk playing on his lips as he extended his hand. "Come here," he said, his voice softened. I walked over to him, and as soon as I was close, he gently tugged my hand, guiding me to sit on his lap. His arms wrapped around me, and he looked at me with that intense gaze of his. "So... you want to work with us, hmm?"
The warmth of his closeness and the way his eyes held mine made my heart race, but I held his gaze, nodding.
I settled into Rudra's lap, he wrapped his arms around me, drawing me close until I could feel the warmth of his breath on my neck. His nose grazed against my skin, sending a shiver down my spine, and I felt a soft, tingling sensation ripple through me. He lingered there for a moment, his voice a low murmur. "First, we'd need to interview you," he said, his lips brushing against my ear, "so we can find the best position for you."
I couldn't help but smile, my cheeks warming as I looked at him. "So... when will this interview happen?" I asked, trying to keep my tone casual, though my pulse quickened.
Without answering right away, he tilted his head, pressing a soft kiss to my neck. "It starts now," he whispered, the words sending a thrill through me.
Just then, the door opened, and Ansh stepped in, an amused smirk crossing his face as he took in the scene. "Hello, wifey," he greeted me, his tone playful. I glanced at him, feeling my blush deepen under his knowing gaze.
Rudra chuckled, not letting go. "She wants to work with us, so I think we need to give her an interview," he said, looking at Ansh. Both brothers exchanged a look, a silent agreement flashing between them, and I realized with a racing heart that they were up to something.
As Rudra reached over and flipped a switch, the door locked with a quiet click, and the windows darkened, casting the room in a hushed, private shadow. My heart skipped a beat, my pulse quickening. "Why... why did you close the door?" I asked, glancing between them.
Ansh gave me a calm smile, his eyes gleaming with a hint of playfulness. "Because this is a private interview," he said, his voice smooth, reassuring yet intense.
He gestured toward the sofa across the room, and I rose from Rudra's lap to walk over, feeling both of their gazes following me. I sank into the sofa, nerves fluttering in my stomach as they approached, each taking a seat on either side of me.
Rudra's arm rested on the back of the sofa, his gaze steady as he leaned in close. Ansh mirrored his brother, the two of them watching me with an intensity that left me breathless. The anticipation built as I realized that this "interview" was something far beyond the ordinary.
Rudra leaned in, his voice rich with amusement. "So, what position are you looking to apply for?"
I glanced between them, my heartbeat quickening. "Maybe as your accountant...or even your personal secretary," I replied, attempting to keep my voice steady. Ansh moved closer, his hand resting lightly on my thigh, tracing gentle
patterns that sent shivers through me. My senses heightened as his fingers moved in a way that left me breathless. "I think 'personal secretary' has a nice ring to it" he murmured, a playful glint in his eye. "What do you think, bro?" Rudra's smirk deepened. "Sure, why not? Let's start with a few questions, then," he said, his tone inviting and suggestive, making it clear this "interview" was going to death of me .
Rudra moved closer, his eyes meeting mine with an intensity that sent a spark through me. He
leaned in, his breath warm against my skin. "Alright," he murmured, his voice low and inviting, "start
with the basics. Give us your introduction."
I took a shaky breath, trying to keep my voice steady under his gaze. "I... I'm Naina Singh, 25 years
old," I began, feeling his fingers lightly trailing along my arm, sending a wave of warmth through me.
Just as I spoke, he lowered his head, pressing soft, lingering kisses along my neck, each one
making it harder to focus.
"I graduated from APS College..." I managed, but as the words left my lips, Ansh leaned in from my
other side, his lips brushing softly against my other shoulder, trailing upward. His closeness and the
gentle pressure of his kisses left me feeling breathless, my words faltering as I tried to continue.
My voice wavered as I said, "And... and I worked at a children's school..."
Ansh's kisses grew deeper, lingering as he moved up my neck, his warm breath making my pulse
race. The way he touched me left me feeling caught between them, my thoughts scattering as the
intensity of the moment consumed me. Every brush of their lips, every whispered word, filled the
room with a palpable energy, and all I could feel was the closeness of their presence, surrounding
me completely.
