Carrying Naina in my arms, I make my way from the library to our room. Her head rests softly against my shoulder, and I can feel her gentle breaths, a reminder of her trust in me, a trust I never want to break.Gently, I lay her down on the bed. The moonlight filtering through the curtains casts a serene glow on her face, highlighting her delicate features. She stirs slightly but soon settles into a deep, peaceful sleep. For a moment, I stand there, watching her, my mind a whirlwind of emotions.slide into bed beside her, wrapping my arms around her from behind. As I hold her close, her body relaxes against mine, and I feel a sense of calm wash over me. She feels like home, a rare solace in our turbulent lives.I gaze at her innocent face, so peaceful in sleep. People usually avoid looking into my eyes, too afraid of what they might see. But Naina? She sleeps in my arms without a hint of fear. I canât help but smile. Gently, I kiss her forehead, savoring the moment. She looks so tempting wearing my shirt, a sight that stirs something deep within me. Since she came into my life, Iâve found myself smiling more often. She has that effect on me, bringing light into the darkness. And I know she likes my smile too; sheâs told me as much. But today, something gnaws at me. Earlier, I watched Naina and Ansh together, in an intimate position. I could see the discomfort in her eyes when she noticed my presence. For the first time in my life, I felt a sting of jealousy. Iâve never envied Ansh before, but seeing Naina's unease and realizing she might prefer him over me cut deep. It was a foreign feeling, unsettling and unwelcome. The thought of moving to another room, or even another house, crossed my mind. Maybe giving her space would be best. Maybe it was my presence that unsettled her. But before I could act on those thoughts, she came to the library and explained everything. She told me about her confusion, her feelings, and how she never intended to make me feel less important. Her words were like a balm to my wounded heart. She reassured me that her discomfort wasnât because of me, but because of the complicated situation we all found ourselves in.Even now, I can feel her scent lingering in my senses, her taste still vivid on my lips, her moans and demands from our time in the library echoing in my mind. Those moments of intimacy, of raw connection, play over and over in my thoughts, a reminder of what we share and the depth of our bond. Her warmth, her presenceâeverything about her grounds me. I tighten my embrace slightly, not wanting to wake her but needing the reassurance that sheâs here, with me. With us.Her breathing steadies, and I can tell sheâs fallen into a deeper sleep, comforted by my presence. For the first time in a long time, I allow myself to close my eyes, letting the peace of this moment envelop me.When I wake up in the morning, I notice Naina is still asleep, hugging me tightly. Her face is nestled against my chest, her feet tangled with mine. The sight and feel of her so close make me hard, a natural reaction that I can't control. I'm not a saint; I've been with many women. They were always after my money, my power, or they feared me. But none of them actually wanted me for who I am.But Nainaâmy wifeâshe's different. She actually wants me. This realization hits me hard, filling me with a mix of gratitude and desire. Holding her close, I understand that what we have is something rare, something real. And for the first time, I feel truly wanted, not for what I can provide or the fear I can instill, but for who I am.Carefully, I slide out of bed, not wanting to wake her. I place the comforter over her body, ensuring she's warm and comfortable. As I glance around, I notice that Ansh isn't in the room. His absence leaves an odd feeling in my chest, a mix of relief and curiosity.I remember yesterday when Ansh came to meet me after I saw him with Naina. He mentioned there was a problem at one of our warehouses and that he was going to handle it. I said okay, not thinking much of it at the time. After Naina came to explain everything, I picked up my phone to call him, but he didn't answer. I called again, and still, no response. This wasn't like Ansh. My worry grew, gnawing at the edges of my thoughts. So I called Dhruv, my cousin and left-hand man. When he didn't pick up the call, my worry turned into alarm. Something was definitely wrong. Without wasting any more time, I called Balraj, my right-hand man, and told him to come to my home immediately.I hurriedly get ready and make my way downstairs. Balraj is already there, his expression serious. "Did you talk to Ansh and Dhruv?" I ask him urgently. He shakes his head. "No, Rudra. I haven't been able to reach them.""Where's Satya?" I ask, referring to Ansh's right-hand man.Balraj looks grim. "He hasn't returned to his apartment. He told someone he was going to the west warehouse, as per Ansh's instructions."My concern deepens. This isn't like Ansh or Dhruv. Something is definitely wrong. "We need to go there, now," I say, my voice firm.Balraj nods, understanding the urgency. We both head out, determination etched on our faces. I need to find Ansh and Dhruv, and make sure they are safe. Whatever trouble they are in, we will face it together, just like always. And for Naina, I will ensure that nothing disrupts the fragile peace we are building. As we drive to the west warehouse, a heavy silence settles between us. The tension is palpable, a mix of worry and anticipation. When we arrive, the eeriness of the place strikes me immediately. There's an unnatural silence, the kind that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.We cautiously enter the warehouse, and the sight that greets us is nothing short of a nightmare. There's blood everywhere, splattered across the floor and walls. Bodies are strewn about, a grim testament to the violence that took place here. Some are our men, loyal soldiers who followed us without question. Others seem to be Russians, their presence here raising even more questions.Balraj and I exchange a grim look before we begin to search for Ansh and Dhruv. The air is thick with the metallic scent of blood, and every step we take echoes ominously. My heart pounds in my chest, each beat a reminder of the urgency of our mission. We scour the warehouse, our eyes scanning for any sign of life. Amidst the carnage, I spot something that makes my heart skip a beatâAnsh's phone, lying on the ground. But there's no sign of him anywhere. I pick up the phone, my mind racing with possibilities. Then I see himâSatya. His body is sprawled on the floor, lifeless. A surge of anger and grief floods through me. Satya was more than just Ansh's right-hand man; he was part of our family. And now he's gone.I kneel beside Satya, clenching my fists. But as I check his pulse, I realize something miraculousâhe's still alive, barely. "Balraj, call the doctor. We need to save him," I command, my voice urgent.Balraj nods and immediately dials the doctor. In the meantime, I carefully pick up Satya and carry him to an empty room within the warehouse. Gently laying him down, I press my hands to his wounds, trying to staunch the bleeding."We'll get you through this, Satya. Just hold on," I said . "The doctor is on his way."I nod, not taking my eyes off Satya. "Good. We need to secure the area and figure out what happened here. And we need to find Ansh and Dhruv."Balraj nods, already making plans. "I'll get our men to sweep the area. We'll find them, boss."As I stand there, I call my made men to look for Ansh and Dhruv. They fan out, searching every corner of the warehouse and the surrounding area. The tension is unbearable as we wait for any news.I stand there, watching over Satya and waiting for any news about Ansh and
Dhruv. My thoughts flicker to Naina back at home, sleeping peacefully, unaware of the turmoil unfolding here. I will find my brother and cousin, and I will bring them home safely. This attack won't go unanswered.I know this is connected to the Russians. The signs are too clear to ignore. Picking up my phone, I call all my made men,
ordering them to gather at the warehouse immediately. Within minutes, they arrive, their expressions hard and ready for action.Standing before them, I let my anger and determination show. "They attacked us to show what they can do," I say, my voice firm and unwavering. "I want every one of them dead. But first, we need to find Ansh and Dhruv. Spread out and search every inch of this place." The air is thick with tension and determination as we begin our search. The Russians think they can challenge us, but they've made a grave mistake. This is our territory, our family, and we will not rest until we've secured both.As the minutes tick by, the urgency grows. Every second counts, and my resolve hardens. We will find Ansh and Dhruv, and we will make the Russians pay for this.As I stand there, coordinating the search efforts, Balraj approaches me with urgency in his eyes. "Satya is waking up,"he informs me.immediately head to the room where Satya is resting. As I enter, I see him trying to sit up, his face contorted in pain and determination. "Lay down"' | command gently but firmly. He looks at me, his eyes filled with the
weight of what he's been through. "Last night, the Russians attacked us" he begins, his voice raspy. "They came with an army. We didn't have time to call for backup. They were all wearing masks
and spread some kind of gas that made us lose consciousness. We fought for about two hours. When their numbers started to dwindle, they began to retreat. Ansh and Dhruv went after them."His words paint a vivid picture of the
chaos and desperation of the battle. My
mind races, piecing together the fragments of information. The Russians launched a full-scale attack, catching us off guard and using gas to incapacitate Our men."Do you know where Ansh and Dhruv went?" I ask, needing any clue that might lead us to them.Satya shakes his head weakly. "No, they just went after the Russians as they were leaving. It was all chaos." I nod, absorbing the information. "You did well, Satya. Rest now. We'll take it from here."I leave the room, my determination renewed. The Russians are playing a dangerous game, and they've underestimated us. Turning to Balraj, I issue new orders. "Inform everyone about what Satya said. Focus on finding Ansh and DhrUV. And once we have them, we'll hunt down every last one of those Russians." Balraj nods and relays the information to our men. They spread out with renewed urgency, knowing that time is of the
essence.
