Ansh pov
In the dark world of the underworld, where shadows danced and danger lurked, I stood as a formidable figure. As the leader of a vast mafia empire, my ruthlessness and cunning were legendary. But in the aftermath of a bloody conflict with the Talwar family, an unexpected truce had been forged.
As part of this uneasy alliance, my twin brother, Rudra, and I were to marry the princess of the Talwar clan, Naina. With a heavy heart, I agreed to this sacrifice, knowing that it would strengthen our position and secure peace between our warring factions.
The following day, I embarked on a solitary journey to Nainital, eager to catch a glimpse of my future bride. As I approached her apartment, a sense of curiosity washed over me. Contrary to my expectations, there were no armed guards patrolling the premises. Instead, the only sound that reached my ears was the laughter of children.
Intrigued, I cautiously approached a nearby window and peered inside. My eyes widened in surprise as I witnessed a sight that defied my preconceptions. There, in a brightly decorated room, Naina sat on the floor, surrounded by a group of young children. She was reading them a story, her voice soft and melodious.
As I watched, I noticed a faint glow in her eyes. There was a warmth and compassion in her expression that I had never seen in the cold and ruthless world I inhabited. For a moment, my hardened heart softened.
After the children had left, Naina emerged from the apartment and headed towards a nearby school. I followed at a discreet distance, my senses heightened. To my astonishment, she entered the school and began teaching a class of young students.
For hours, I observed her in awe. She possessed an extraordinary ability to connect with children. She made learning fun and engaging, drawing them into her world with imaginative stories and interactive games.
As the school day ended, Naina walked to an old-age home. She spent the next few hours chatting with the elderly residents, bringing them joy and laughter. I watched in wonder as she lovingly fed them and listened intently to their stories.
As the sun began to set, Naina returned to her apartment. I followed her inside and watched as she prepared herself for the evening. She was a woman of striking beauty, but there was something more to her than just physical appearance. There was a depth and kindness that radiated from her within.
As I observed her, I couldn't help but marvel at the stark contrast between her life and ours. She lived a world away from the violence and bloodshed that consumed our existence. She was a beacon of hope in a world often shrouded in darkness.
I recalled the words our mother had spoken to us countless times: 'The world is a cruel place for women. Respect your wives always.' And in Naina, I saw the embodiment of that wisdom. She was strong, compassionate, and unwavering in her beliefs.
I had always known that women were precious, but Naina's innocence and purity shook me to my core. I wondered how a God who could witness the horrors of our world could also create such a gentle and loving soul.
In her presence, I felt a longing for something more than the life I had known. I yearned for a life filled with purpose and meaning, a life where I could protect the innocent and make a difference in the world.
And as I watched Naina, I realized that she was the catalyst for that change. She was the one who could lead me towards a brighter future, a future where our mafia empire would be used for good, not evil.
That night, as I returned to my own fortress, I couldn't shake the image of Naina from my mind. I had entered her life as a cold-hearted mafia prince . For the first time in my life, I felt a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness. Perhaps this truce was not just a political alliance but a chance for both myself and my family to find redemption in a world torn apart by violence.
In the sacred vow of marriage, I refrained from kissing Naina's lips. Instead, I gently brushed my lips against her cheek . Later that night "Rudra,' I whispered to my brother, 'we must exercise restraint. We have committed countless sins in our lives. Let us not add another to our burden. We need time to know these women before we consummate our union.'
Rudra, ever the perceptive one, nodded in agreement. I could see in his eyes a flicker of longing for Naina, but also a deep respect for my decision.
The next day as I sat down to breakfast with Rudra, our thoughts turned to our upcoming meeting at the warehouse.
We were scheduled to negotiate with a notorious arms dealer. As we sipped our coffee, the aroma of freshly brewed beans filling the air, Naina descended the grand staircase with a radiant smile.
'Good morning,' she greeted us softly, her voice as sweet as bird song.
Rudra and I exchanged amused glances. I had instructed him not to consummate our marriage until we had become better acquainted. While my brother had a reputation as a ruthless killer, he possessed a compassionate heart beneath his hardened exterior. I could see in his eyes that he had a genuine fondness for Naina.
'Good morning, Naina,' Rudra replied, his voice surprisingly gentle.
her presence illuminating the room. Clad in a vibrant floral dress,
she exuded an ethereal beauty that captivated me. She took her seat beside me, her hands trembling slightly.
Our maid, Lita, approached her with a gentle smile. 'Mam, what would you like for breakfast?' she inquired.
Naina hesitated for a moment before replying, her voice soft and hesitant. 'Aloo Paratha, if possible. Otherwise, anything will do. I don't have any preferences.'
Lita nodded and retreated to the kitchen. I could sense the nervousness in Naina's demeanor, and it stirred something within me. It was a rare sight to see her so vulnerable.
Rudra, ever the observant one, broke the silence. 'Naina,' he said, his voice soothing, 'this is your home now. If there's anything you want changed, don't hesitate to ask. You can have a spare room if you wish, and there's a car outside that's yours. You also have access to a card that you can use to buy anything you need.'
Naina looked up at Rudra, her eyes filled with gratitude. 'Thank you,' she whispered. 'I don't need a separate room. I want to spend time with you and Ansh to get to know you better. After all, we're going to spend our lives together. As for the car and the card, I have my own money that I can use.'
A chuckle escaped my lips. 'Well, Naina,' I said, 'it seems you're quite independent.'
Naina smiled back at me, her nervousness fading away. 'I had to be,' she replied. 'I've had to take care of myself for a long time.'
I smile told her 'My dear, we know you have ample wealth, but as your husbands, it is our responsibility to care for you. Please accept this. We, too, cherish the opportunity to deepen our bond with you.'
Summoning Manoj and Armaan, two of our most trusted lieutenants, I introduced them to Naina. 'These are your bodyguards,' I explained. 'Manoj is 34 years of age, and Armaan is 38. They have proven their unwavering loyalty to us.'
Naina glanced at me and Rudra. 'Are you gentlemen preparing to depart?' she inquired.
'Indeed,' Rudra replied. 'We have a meeting scheduled with an arms dealer.'
As we rose from the table, I couldn't resist a tender peck on Naina's cheek. 'Be ready by 7 pm,' I whispered. 'We have plans for the evening.'
A radiant blush spread across her face as Rudra leaned in to peck her on the lips. 'Take care of yourselves and return home safely,' Naina said, her voice tinged with a newfound sense of longing.
A smile graced our faces as we watched her wave farewell. It was the first time anyone had expressed such concern for our well-being. As we left for our meeting, I couldn't shake the feeling that something profound had shifted within me.
