Chapter 110
At first, the school didnât
was in turmoil,
pay attention to the incident. But then, someone shared it on Facebook. Lily was immediately criticized all over the internet. Ember Creek High School
In Josephâs office, the dean and several teachers looked serious as they discussed the incident
âMr. Woodley, we canât overlook this matter. Itâs had a terrible impact. If we donât expel Lilly, Ember Creelt High Schoolâs reputation will be ruined,â Nancy said in frustration.
Other teachers hurriedly agreed. âYes. Sheâs only been here less than a month and has already caused chaos at Ember Creek High School. Our students are living in tear every day, afraid that Lily will target them.â
Josephi leaned back in his chair, his expression unchanged. âShe wonât target other students. They can study in peace,â he said.
âWhat do you mean? Are you protecting Lily?â Nancy asked Joseph in disbelief. âI know you brought her here, but you canât just let her get away with this, can you? This is a matter
of character.â
Joseph glanced at her but didnât speak
âThis issue must be addressed,â Nancy said firmly.
Nancy was already upset with Lily. Now that Lily had caused trouble, Nancy didnât want her to stay at Ember Creek High School anymore.
âOf course, weâll handle it.â Joseph told the dean. âYouâll send out a notice. Heather, Alexis, and 20 other students will face discipline for bullying. Theyâll receive serious consequences, and it will be noted in their records. If it happens again, theyâll be expelled.â
When be said this, all the teachers except the dean stared at Joseph in disbelief.
Nancy felt frustrated. âJoseph What is wrong with you? Heather and Alexis are the ones being bullied. Youâre not standing up for them? But instead, youâre punishing them?â
âThis is my decision. You can all return to your tasks,â Joseph said, waving his hand to dismiss the discussion,
âYou!â Nancy was furious. But upon seeing Josephâs determined expression, she felt powerkss.
After a long pause, she said angrily, âFine! Iâll talk to her myself. Iâll ensure she leaves Ember Creek High School!â
Joseph calmly told her, âI suggest you donât.â
Nancy scoffed coldly. âI doubt sheâd dare touch a teacher.â
After finishing speaking, she ignored everyoneâs attempts to stop her and went straight to Class 18.
It was Johnâs class. Nancy didnât care if they were in the middle of a lesson. She pushed the door open and entered.
She walked up to the teacherâs desk and looked coldly at John. âMr. Everton, Iâm sorry to interrupt.â
John frowned and said, âMs. Hanson, can this wait until after class? The 12th grade is already under a lot of pressure, you know?â
Nancy sneered and asked, âWhatâs the point of studying with the grades in your class? How many of you can even get into college?i
Her words angered the students of Class 18.
âWhat? What do you mean weâre not studying? Weâre all working !
âExactly! itâs not guaranteed that all of Class 1 will get into college!
The students of Class 18 glared at her resentfully, wanting to kick Nancy out. But no student at Ember Creek High School dared to disrespect a teacher.
Nancy ignored the other students and addressed Lily directly.
âIâm here to inform Lily in your class that her recent actions have significantly impacted the students in our honors class. On behalf of all the teachers in the 12th grade, 1 request that you withdraw immediately.â
John angrily slammed the textbook on the table. âYou canât speak for me! The school hasnât decided on this matter yet, so you canât just make her leave. I believe Lily had her
trasons.â
John knew about Heather and Alexisâs history of bullying. He had tried to intervene before, but they didnât listen to him. Eventually, he gave up trying
Though he didnât understand why Lily had fought with them this time, he could tell she wasnât the type to pick fights for no reason.
âYour opinion doesnât matter,â Nancy said coldly, looking at him. âFor the wellâbeing of our students, she must leave Ember Creek High Schoolâ
Lily, who was sitting in the back row, lifted her head, her eyes gleaming with coldness. She stood up and stared directly at Nancy
âSo, Ms. Hanson, you care so much about studentsâ wellâbeing?â
âOf course!â Mincy replied.
âThen why didnât you do anything about Poppy and Bobby being bullied by their classmates for so long? Lily asked, hands in her pockets, looking at Nancy indiferently.
