Fall Back

To fall back,

Is to give up.

To say that you are done.

That you have not even tried yet

Is the cowardly thing.

To fall back,

Would be to announce

That you and I are weak.

And maybe we are.

Maybe falling back

Is what we need.

A chance to give ourselves up.

A moment to regroup.

But a moment is nothing to a war,

And to fall back

Is to lose.
