POKÉMON GIRLS' FESTIVAL; PRINCESS VS. PRINCESS

Today our heroes has met up with their friends; Misty, Volkner and Flint, apparently Volkner was able to get a week vacation, Flint is being Flint of dragging Volkner around and Misty, her sisters allowed her to take a break and she met up with ash and Mairin telling them about a special event happening today.

"Today is the day! My favorite holiday!" Misty her arm in the air, "Let the Princess Festival Begin!"

"Yeah!" Mairin cheered as well, when she heard what the Princess Festival is, she was all up for it!

ash smiled, uncertain about this event and she wasn't really shopping person.

"Today, the woman's rules!" Misty declared. "This is a one day of the year!" She turned to the boys who blinked, "You all have to do everything we girls tell you to do!"

"Everything?" Takato said.

"Arf? (Everything?)" Zack repeated.

"Chespin Ches. (This is bad.)" Chespie deadpanned.

Flint and Brock groaned, "This is going to be nightmare." They said.

Alain and Volkner looked at each other and sighs.

"Right! Let's split up! Brock, Flint, Takato and your Pokémon's are with me and Mairin!" Misty decided. "Volkner and Alain are with ash . Let's go!" She walked off to the first store.

Mairin happily followed with the boys following behind, slowly.

Light, Korin and Yukimi(vulpix) waved at them, "(Good luck!)" They said, knowing that they'll need it.

ash laughed quietly at them, "Well let's go." She said, walking towards a store.

Volkner and Alain nodded, following behind.

Every year the Princess Festival salutes girls and woman's everywhere and our friends find themselves in the centre of the celebration.

During the Princess Festival every store becomes an exclusive discounts for woman and if your a male, well... You get to carry packages.

"Ah, check it out!" Misty squealed.

Flint groaned, "Not again..."

"Oh my gosh! Look at this Mairin!" Misty squealed again.

Mairin squealed as well, "This dress is lovely!"

Brock sagged his shoulders, "More dresses."

Takato groaned, "I should've went with nee-chan, she doesn't shop this much." He whined.

"And what's worst..." Flint started, "This is only the beginning of this."

The males groaned with anime tears down their eyes.

With ash , she was looking around some fabric stores, deciding what to get.

"What do you think?" ash showed the silk and fabric pattern to her Pokémon.[A/N: Any beautiful patterns.]

"Pikachu! (Beautiful!)" Light said.

"Vul~ (Pretty~)" Yukimi likes the snowflake pattern.

"Chu." Korin nodded.

"Okay, well take them and some other colours as well." ash decided.

They came out of the store with one bag each in Alain's and Volkner's hand and unknown to them that they were attracting some single girls and woman around the area, but some knows that those two liked the girl they are following.

ash went around looking through different stores and bought new items and some toys that caught her eyes; Charizard, Pikachu in some Pokémon costumes; Mega Charizard X and Y, Eevee's in costumes like she made for her Eevee's before and other Pokémon, a wind chime; Swablu and she also bought some making accessories for her Pokémon, so she can make.

For ash 's aunts, she got new wind chimes for the restaurant and house; Swablu, Lunatone, Solrock, Charizard, Poochyena and Pikachu.

For Takato, ash got him some wristbands, toys; Poochyena, Mightyena, Houndour, Houndoom, Purrrloin, Liepard and Zorua, and a Murkrow wind chime.

For Brock, ash got him some toys for his brothers and sisters; Growlithe, Cleffa, Jigglypuff, Happiny, Geodude, Onix, Rhyhorn, and a Solrock and Lunatone wind chime.

Alain and Volkner sweat dropped, around them were males carrying lots of bags in their arms and packagers, lucky for them they only got three bags now each.

"Guess we got lucky." Volkner said, watching ash looking around some perfumes and jewellers for her mother.

Alain nodded, "Pretty much. Takato did say that ashley has no much sense of shopping in her, her aunt is the one that buys her clothes. She prefers simple comfortable clothings." He explained, "Though when it comes to cute Pokémon toys and clothes fabrics she can make for her Pokémon she's up for it."

"Wonder how Flint and the others are doing?" Volkner asked, all the sudden.

"Knowing Mairin who loves to shop and Misty when she was excited to be here. You know the answer." Alain replied, amused.

"Ah, I feel sorry for them." Volkner said, dryly.

Alain chuckled at that and then spotted a beautiful necklace on the table in front of a shop, "Um..." He walked towards its. "Volkner, check this necklace out."

Volkner walked towards the store and saw the necklace Alain was holding, "Three piece... Can we get symbols curved on it?"

Alain raised an eyebrow, "What symbols are you talking about? He questioned.

"Fire for you, Electric for me and ashley is more of a crescent moon symbol because of her personality." Volkner answered.

Alain nodded, "We'll get it and get some tools and luckily they sell the tools as well."

The Sunnyshore Gym Leader brought the tools need and the oldest Sycamore brought the necklace along with some charm and letters.

The items were original price for them, but they didn't care and left the store.

"Alain! Volkner! Come on, its time for a break." ash called out to them.

"Pikapi!" Light waved.

Back with Misty and Mairin and the boys.

"Ahhhh! This is nuts!" Flint exclaimed, tiredly, holding four shopping bags in each hand.

"Yikes!" Takato flinched at the woman's all fighting for some clothes, he was holding two shopping bags in each hand.

Brock sweat dropped, "Scary..." He held four shopping bags in each hand.

Chespie and Zack where carrying small packagers, in their arm or back.

"Bet Volkner and Alain are doing better than us." Takato said, tiredly.

"Really?" Brock asked.

"Yeah, like I said before. Nee-chan isn't much of a shopper, she prefers buying materials and items for her to make for the Pokémon and some toys." Takato explained.

Flint pouted, "So unfair~" He wailed.

"Lucky them." Brock said.

"KYAA~ Cute!~" Mairin squealed.

"I know right!" Misty exclaimed.

"And there they go." Takato sighs.

ash , Alain and Volkner were sitting at a cafeteria, having a break when Flint, Brock and Takato appeared sitting beside them and taking their drink before gulping it down their throat.

ash , Alain and Volkner sweat dropped at this and then saw the piles of bags they had to carry, they sweat dropped even more.

Light sweat dropped, "Pikachu Pika? (You two okay?)" She asked.

Zack collapsed, "(We're tired...)" He whimpered.

Chespie nodded.

Misty and Mairin arrived, smiling at ash .

"Hey ashley, how was your end?" Misty asked, sitting down.

"It's fine." ash said. "How was your day so far?"

"It's great! There were a lot of cute clothing." Mairin said.

"Oh that's reminds me." ash took two bags and handed it to Brock, "Here you go Brock. There gifts for your family, hope they like it."

Brock took the bags and looked inside, seeing the items his friend bought, "These are great ash , thanks. My family will love it." He smiled.

"Your welcome and Takato I got you stuff as well." ash said.

"Great." Takato beamed.

Flint sulked beside Volkner, "Takato is right. You guys are lucky." He groaned out.

ash only had four bags in total because she brought stuff for her friend.

Mairin and Misty ordered some sweet desserts, while the males just ordered small snacks for them.

Misty blinked, "What? Is that all your having?" She asked.

"Unfortunately yes." Flint replied.

"Did you forget that guys have to pay." Brock said, reminding them.

"Oops, right. I forgot." Misty smiled, sheepishly.

"Look at that sign." Mairin directed their attention towards the sign behind ash .

"What sign? You mean to sign that has a movie actor in it." Takato questioned.

"No, not that one. The one next to it." Mairin pointed to. "It's a big sale."

"Big Sale! 75%~90% Off!" Misty read before standing up quickly, "We're going!"

"Definitely!" Mairin agreed with her.

"Come on ash !" Misty grabbed the indigo-black haired girl and dragged her off with Mairin.

"Wha- Wait a minute." ash protested.

"Vulpix... (Mother...)" Yukimi said.

"Pi Pikachu- (ash got-)" Korin said.

"Chu Pikachu Chu. (Dragged away by them.)" Light finished.

"Here we go again." Flint, Brock and Takato groaned out before getting up, grabbing the two girls bags.

Alain and Volkner looked amused and grabbed ash 's bag.

Light and Korin jumped onto Volkner's shoulder, while Yukimi jumped onto Alain's shoulder.

Unknown to them that Team Rocket was also here at the Princess Festival.

Jessie was having an excellent time, she brought a ton of beautiful clothes and make-up, she even brought a lot of jewellery and food.

Poor James and Meowth has a really hard time carrying the bags, they should've brought a wagon to help.

As they were taking a breather in the park.

Jessie spotted a pink round body Pokémon, "What Pokémon is that?" She asked.

James looked at it and looked through the Pokémon Book to find that certain Pokémon, "Thats a Lickitung. It's says here, that it's long tongue can leave its opponent paralysis." He read out.

"Oh." Hearing that, gave Jessie and good idea, "I'm going to catch it. It may become useful to us." She said and chucked one of her Pokéball at it and Lickitung was caught without any trouble.

Now with Misty and Mairin, ash was simply looking at some clothes and materials for her aunt that was pretty.

Misty was busy fighting off some girls for some dress she spotted while the guys sat down looking exhausted, well Brock, Takato and Flint that is.

Alain and Volkner kept their eyes on ash, who was looking through some clothing, not bothering the pile of woman arguing against each other.

"Hands off!" Misty yelled.

"Thats mine!"

"Let go!"

"Those are mine!"

"Man, this is dangerous." Brock groaned, when he heard the woman argue.

Flint sighs, tiredly, "This is the last time I come here with a female friend and I can't believe that Misty roped me into this."

"Just don't come on Princess Festival day and your safe." Brock stated.

"That's right." Takato said.

Jessie was also in there, shopping for things as well.

"Attention Princess Festival Shoppers! Attention Princess Festival Shoppers!" The female announcer spoke.

"Huh?" Jessie, Mairin and Misty said.

ash blinked, as she returned from buying clothes.

"In just a few minutes we will be holding the main event of this years Princess Festival! The Queen of the Princess Festival Contest!"

All the females listened carefully as the announcer spoke.

"The prize for the contest winner will be a beautiful one of a kind collection of... Pokémon Princess Dolls!"

"Princess Dolls?!" Misty, Jessie and Mairin exclaimed.

"And in addition! The winner will have their picture taken with screen sensation Fiorella Cappuccino!"

Every woman in the store started going crazy and rushed out the door quickly, and trampling over anybody that stood in their way, lucky the guys were able to move out of the way quickly.

"Yikes!" Takato said, as the woman all ran out.

"Thats was crazy!" Flint exclaimed, he place a hand where his heart was and it was beating fast, "I thought I was going to die."

"I'm going to enter it!" Mairin and Misty said.

"Good luck." ash said.

"Huh? Aren't you entering it?" Mairin asked.

ash shook her head, "Not my kind of event." She said. "And it's not interesting for me."

"Wow, what a crowd! This certainly looks like quite a Princess Festival Competition this year, doesn't it Fiorella?" The commenter asked.

"Yes, its very exciting." Fiorella replied.

"And the winner of our contest must be as poised a Jynx, sitting as a Jigglypuff and possess the grace and charm of an Oddish! Now let's meet our Princess Festival contestants!" The commenter said.

The curtain raised itself revealing the females entering the contest including Jessie, Misty and Mairin. They were all wearing kinomo's and had crowns on their heads.

Jessie kimono was red with patterns on them, Misty kimono was pink, her hair was also styled long and Mairin had her hairstyle braided on the each side and wearing a pretty green shade kimono with floral patterns on it.

The crowd clapped for them.

"Oh, Mairin and Misty looks beautiful!" ash smiled.

Volkner and Alain silently just watched.

"Yeah." Flint said, as he snapped pictures, why because Misty and Mairin asked him too.

"Pikachu Pi Pikachu Pika? (What do you think of your mother, Rafa?)" Light asked the little spike ball Pokémon.

"Togephrii! (Mommy pretty!)" Rafa squealed.

"They both look great." Brock agreed.

"Well we certainly seem to have a lovely group of young ladies assembled this year! Don't you agree Fiorella?" The commenter asked.

"Yes." Fiorella smiled.

"Being so smart, beautiful and talented, I shouldn't have a problem winning." Misty boasted.

Jessie laughed, "I'm sure you'll win the contest little girl... if they have a pee-wee division." She said.

"Ha, ash nee chan  is prettier and her mother have to be prettier than you as well." Mairin insulted Jessie.

A tick mark appeared on Jessie's head.

Misty laughed, "I have to agree ash  and ash's mother have to be pretty." She said.

"Now let's all take a look at the special prize they'll be competing for! Right here! There's nowhere like it in the world! It's unique! It's beautiful hand-made! Custom crafted! One of a kind luxury! Pokémon Princess Doll Set! Batteries sold separately!" The commenter announced.

The crowd went wild as the prize was shown.

ash smiled, "The three Kanto starters are there." She said.

"Chu. (Pretty.)" Korin said.

"Pokémon Princess Dolls." Jessie started.

"The only set in the whole world." Misty said.

"What a shame, putting so much effort into a contest you're going to lose." Jessie mocked.

"We'll see who loses." Misty gave Jessie a determined smiled.

"Now will all contestant please present their Pokémon."

"Huh?" Mairin said.

"You mean we have to battle?" Misty questioned.

"You mean, this isn't just a beauty contest?" Jessie questioned.

"Oh no, the festival contest winner also has to be a skilled Pokémon trainer!" The commenter told them.

"Si, this is how the contestants match up." Fiorella showed them a chart.

"The rules are simple! The contestants are broken up into division and they may use up to four Pokémon to battle!"

The gang saw Misty in division '1', while Jessie and Mairin was in division '2'.

"Well seems like little twerp your in the same division as me. But I'll win." Jessie declared to the youngest Sycamore.

Mairin glared, "We'll see."

And so the Pokémon Battle of the Princess Festival has began.

In division 1, Misty won all her rounds with; Golduck, Poliwhirl, Slowbro and Starmie, she lost Slowbro and Golduck but she is in the final.

In division 2, where Mairin and Jessie are in. Mairin has won her round with; Chespie and Pari, two unknown Pokémon.

Jessie won her rounds with Arbok, Weezing and Meowth, an unknown fourth Pokémon.

Two final round of division 2 is between, Jessie vs. Mairin.

"So, if either Mairin or Jessie wins this round, they'll face Misty for the prize." Brock said.

"We down to the Semi-finals of division 2 between Mairin and Jessie." The announcer said.

"Si, semi-finals are fantástico." Fiorella agreed.

"Who will be the victor?!"

"I'M GOING TO BE THE VICTOR! WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT?!" Jessie yelled.

"Uh..."

"Arbok, go!" Jessie sent out her cobra Pokémon.

"Ursa go!" Mairin sent out her little bear Pokémon.

"Well well, we have a dangerous cobra against a cute little bear! Who will win?!"

"Ursa, Earthquake then Thunder Punch!" Mairin ordered.

"Ursa. (Okay.)" Ursa stomp the ground, creating an Earthquake at Abrok who flinch and then the little bear Pokémon ran towards it, with an electric fist and it punch it on the chest.

"Carrrbokkk..." It fainted.

"Ah, the training with Kamui and the others help." ash commented.

"Yeah, Ursa knows Fire Punch and Focus Punch as well." Takato said.

Jessie returned her fallen Pokémon, "Weezing, get that bear! Use Sludge Attack!" She called out the poison gas Pokémon.

"Weezing Weez." It said and then shot out sludge from its mouth.

"Ursa use Hidden Power to counter it!" Mairin commanded.

Ursa released white orbs and it was sent to the Sludge Attack, creating a small explosion.

"Now's my chance." Mairin said, she seen ash use the smoke to her advantage, "Use Hidden Power again."

Ursa used Hidden Power once more and sent it through the smoke and it hit its mark.

"Weezing!" It cried out in pain and it fainted.

Jessie growled, she recalled the fallen Pokémon, "Meowth go!" She grabbed the scratch cat Pokémon and tossed him towards the little bear Pokémon.

"Meoowwwttthh!" Meowth cried out, "Taste my Scratch attack!" He, ready his sharp claws.

"Dodge then Close Combat!" Mairin ordered.

Ursa jumped to the side, dodging the scratch attack and then release a barrage of punches and kicks toward the Meowth who cried out in pain with every kick and punch he receives.

"Ursa! (Out!)" Ursa punched the scratch cat Pokémon back out of the ring.

"Argh!" Jessie said in frustration.

"Woah! That's a strong little bear!" The commenter complimented.

"And very cute." Fiorella smiled.

Jessie held out one more Pokéball, "Go Lickitung!" She sent out the newly caught Pokémon.

"Lickyy." It said.

"What?" Brock said.

"When did Team Rocket get a new Pokémon?" Takato questioned.

"It had to be a Lickitung." ash pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.

[Lickitung, the Licking Pokémon. It used a tongue that is more than twice the length of its body to battle, as well as to gather food.]

"Wonder how Mairin will counter this. Lickitung are also Normal-type Pokémon." Volkner said.

"Lickitung use Lick!" Jessie commanded.

But Lickitung didn't listen and started to attack Usra who moved out of the way.

"What are you doing Lickitung! Attack that little bear with Shadow Ball!" Jessie shouted.

Lickitung didn't listen still and attack the little bear Pokémon with its tongue.

"Team Rocket must've just caught that Pokémon. It isn't obeying her at all." Alain said.

"Ursa use Protect! Then Fire Punch!" Mairin ordered, quickly.

Ursa brought up a green sphere shield, the tongue was recoiled from the Protect and then he ran up to the lick Pokémon and punched it with his flaming fist.

"LIIICCKKKKYY!" It cried out in pain.

"Great, now Focus Punch!" Ursa punched Lickitung once more and it sent the lick Pokémon crashing into Jessie.

"Ahhhh!" Jessie screamed out as the Pokémon crashed her.

"Well, thats the battle! And the winner is Mairin and she'll be facing the winner of division 1, Misty!" The commenter announced.

The crowd clapped.

The last battle between Misty and Mairin.

"May the best Princess win." Misty said.

Mairin nodded.

"Okay folks! This is the final round of the Princess Festival Battle! Who will win and become Queen of the Princess Festival?!"

"Here it is..." Flint said, sounding tense.

"Yeah." Takato gulped.

Mairin and Misty were standing before each other looking both determined to win this festival.

"It's now come down to the final town contestants! Who will win?! Misty or Mairin?!"

"This is sure to be exciting." Fiorella said.

"Starmie, I choose you!" Misty sent out her mysterious Pokémon.

"Rose, lets go!" Mairin sent out her thorn Pokémon, her Ursa needs to rest.

"Hieeeyaa..." It said.

"Rose Roselia~" The Pokémon said.

"Umm." ash scanned the Pokémon that Misty sent out.

[Starmie, the Mysterious Pokémon. It's central core glows with seven colours of the rainbow. Some people value the core as a gem.]

"Rose use Magical Leaf!" Mairin ordered.

"Starmie use Psychic to stop it and sent those leaves back!" Misty countered.

Rose released Magical Leaf from her large rose hand and it was stopped by Psychic and before Mairin could say anything, the leaves were sent back to the thorn Pokémon, hitting it directly.

"Rapid Spin!" Misty ordered.

"Use Petal Dance to surround yourself!" Mairin said.

Starmie spun around fast and flew towards the thorn Pokémon, Rose spun around releasing beautiful pink petals and protecting herself and also hitting Starmie who got caught in it.

"No Starmie!" Misty cried out.

"Wow, what a beautiful attack." The commenter commanded.

"Yes, those petals are lovely." Fiorella said.

"Now use Magical Leaf!" Mairin said.

Rose sent Magical Leaf towards the mysterious Pokémon who got hit directly and it collapsed on the ground with its gem corse blinking, meaning its unable to battle.

"Starmie, return." Misty recalled her fallen Pokémon, "Swanna go!" She called out her swan-like bird Pokémon.

"Swanna~" It landed on the ground.

"How interesting." ash said and scanned the Pokémon.

[Swanna, the White Bird Pokémon. Because of its long, powerful neck, Swanna can deliver forceful attacks with its beak.

Note: Swanna are located in the Unova Region.]

"Interesting, a Unova Region Pokémon." ash said, placing her Pokédex away. "Misty must've went to Unova for a while."

"Oho~ This is the final Pokémon of Misty. How will she fight back?!" The commenter said.

"Swanna is a Water and Flying-type, it has a slight advantage over Roselia who is a Grass and Poison-type." Volkner commented.

"Swanna, Agility and then Wing Attack!" Misty ordered.

Swanna flew upwards as her speed increased and her wings glowed white, she swoop down and hit the thorn Pokémon directly, before Mairin could counter it.

"Rose no!" Mairin cried out as her Pokémon collapsed on the ground due to the attack of Wing Attack.

Takato blinked, "Fast."

"Yeah, don't forget that Misty is a Gym Leader of Cerulean." Brock stated.

"Mairin has two Pokémon left, but Ursa is still recovering from the previous battle, so she won't be using him." ash said.

"She has Chespie as well and he is fully recovered but," Alain said.

"Misty has the advantage." Volkner finished.

"Well, it's seems like it's down to the last Pokémon of Misty and Mairin!"

"Yes." Fiorella said.

"Now let's see!"

"Chespie, go!" Mairin sent out her spiky nut Pokémon.

"Chespin! (I'm ready!)" He said.

"Swanna use Air Cutter!" Misty ordered.

"Chespie use Protect then Bullet Seed!" Mairin said.

Swanna flapped her wings released slashed towards the spiny nut Pokémon, who brought up a green sphere shield and then he fired seeds towards the white bird Pokémon who dodge it.

Misty ordered Swanna to drive in and use Aerial Ace, but Mairin countered with Leech Seed when the Aerial Ace attack hit Chespie.

So both Pokémon was damaged in the two attacks, Swanna was having its power drained bit by bit and while Chespie was fighting off the damage of Aerial Ace.

"Come on, Swanna you can do this! Use Bubble Beam!"

"Seed Bomb!"

Both attacks hit each other, causing a small explosion making both Pokémon slide back.

The crowd was silent watching the intense battle behind the two Princess candidates.

As both Pokémon stared down at each other, Chespie smiled and then collapsed face forwarded onto the ground.

Mairin gasped and then smiled, she ran up to her fallen Pokémon, "Thank you." She returned Chespie back.

"And that's it! Misty has become our new Princess Festival Queen!"

"Misty is so magnifico." Fiorella smiled.

"Congratulations Misty." Mairin smiled.

Misty smiled back, "Thank you Mairin and thanks for the great match."

"Your welcome." Mairin said.

"Congratulations Misty." ash said to them, "That was an amazing battle by the both of you."

"Mairin, Misty that was awesome!" Takato exclaimed.

"Wow, great battle you two." Brock complimented.

"Yeah, it was totally awesome. Especially Mairin who is young and she is able to keep up with a Gym Leader." Flint added.

Volkner nodded, "Thats true."

Alain smiled at his little sister, "Even if you didn't win but you gave it your all." He said.

Mairin beamed, she rarely have battles but she still trains her Pokémon. "At least it's better than Misty than Jessie from Team Rocket."

ash giggled, "Can't argue with that."

At the end of the Princess Festival, the males were all relief and tears of joy that it was over, the female tearfully said the day was over.

Misty placed the poster address on the box, "There I go. It's set to go straight home. Hopefully my sisters are able to pick it up. Though this will make them so jealous." She smirked.

They watched as the Pidgeot Transport vehicle drove away with the box, Misty couldn't wait to set up her new dolls in her room.

So, Misty won her own Princess Doll Set and the battle proven that Mairin has gotten stronger able to keep up to a Gym Leader. The journey continues.
