Very Very sorry for the late update.ðð
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Young Lady, did you see a young man with blue hair and yellow eyes?" I asked.
"I am very sorry, I haven't seen anyone of that description." Another maid, giving me the same answer.
I was starting to get annoyed.
Did he just disappear into the air?
I then saw a Butler looking at some documents, standing near a pillar. I got near to him.
"Respected Sir, did you see a young man with blue hair and yellow eyes?" I asked.
'Oh, you are talking about the Crown Prince?" He asked.
Finally.
"Yes, yes, yes. It is him. Where did His Highness Crown Prince Lindon go?" I asked.
"When I saw him last, he was walking towards the Holy Garden." He said.
"Thank You for the information." I said and he nodded.
I then headed to the direction of the Holy Garden.
Because of the latest incident, there have been extra guards guarding the Holy Garden.
When I tried to enter first, they stopped me.
"I am Anastasia D'Laina Aesther. I need to get inside." I said and the guards started getting confused.
Then one of them whispered into his ears and then he moved his spear.
"Thank You." I said and moved past them.
The Holy Garden wasn't very big, but it definitely wasn't small.
If you come in here looking for a person, you might have to at least spend 5 minutes in there.
But Lindon had an above average height, with a glow of royalty emitting from him. It was easy to find him.
I followed the glow.
I then saw Lindon, sitting beside the Holy Lake, Ieros.
I sat beside him.
"Ana?" He was surprised.
"Yes, Your Highness?" I replied, indifferently.
He kept staring at my face. At last, I couldn't handle it.
I covered my face with my both hands.
"Stop staring at me like that. That is very un-gentlemanish." I said.
"No one ever told me that I was un-gentlemanish before." He said.
"There is a first time for everything." I said.
"Yeah, you were the first person that terrified me too." He said. "You can use some other words instead of terrified." I said.
"What would you suggest?" He asked, suddenly getting interested in the conversation. "Surprise? Or amaze?" I asked.
"Anything you say, Ana." He said and I blushed.
"Are you blushing?" He asked. "How did you know that?" I asked.
"So you are." He said, smirking. "You!!!" I said and slightly beat his shoulders.
"Wow, Lady. You are indeed very daring." He said. 'That comes in the blood." I said, looking straight.
"I thought so." He said.
"And..." I started. 'And?" He asked.
"Thank You." I said. 'For what?" I asked. "Helping me out there. I didn't want to marry that fast." I said.
"Do you even want to marry that guy?" Lindon asked.
I kept quiet. If it was in the past, I would have jumped up and been like, Do you even hear yourself? Of course. Give me reason why I shouldn't?
But now, it is not the same anymore.
"I thought so." He mumbled. 'You can still reject him." Lindon said.
"It is not very easy." I sighed.
'What do you mean? Royal Father supports you. Your Father supports you. The whole Imperialists support you." Lindon said.
"All the more reason, why I shouldn't make it difficult for them." I said.
"What do you mean?" Lindon asked.
"I was the one who wanted to marry him first. Now, if I back off..." I said.
"Yeah, makes sense." He said and turned to look at the pond.
"Wasn't it here?" He asked. "What?" I asked. "Where you fell?" He asked.
"Ah, yes. The beginning." I said. And then I bit my tongue. It is always like this. Whenever I am with Lindon, my tongue just rolls off.
"Yes, the beginning." He said. "How is it a beginning to you?" I asked.
He looked at me and smiled. "Secret." He said.
"But that secret is about me!" I said.
"That doesn't mean that you know about everything in the world connected to you." Lindon said.
"Well, that might be true, but..." I trailed off. "But?" He asked.
"You know what? It is useless talking with you." I said and looked at the pond with a pout on my face.
"You know what?" He asked, not taking his eyes from my face. "What?" I asked, raw.
"You are the first one who told that to me." He said. "So-" Then it hit me. He is the Crown Prince of Avalon. I thought and mentally slapped myself.
Calm down, Ana. Calm down. Keep a straight face. I said and bit the inside of my cheeks to keep myself from showing an embarrassed complexion.
"Don't try to keep a straight face when you are clearly embarrassed." Lindon said and I lost everything.
I face-palmed myself.
"Why did you have to tell it out?" I asked.
"Because I wanted to discover a new emotion in you." He said.
"Did you really have to use the word discover? I feel like I am an object rather than a person." I said.
He then gave me that look again. In which his deep eyes look so empty. Like all the emotion disappeared in that moment.
I then touched his cheek and caressed it.
Of course, how can he have emotions in those eyes? He saw his mother being killed in front of his eyes.
But no one believed him when he told the other who the killer was. Well, no killers will admit that they were the killers.
After all, his mother was a princess from a faraway land, which was on the brink of disappearing.
The King married her out of pure love, but too keep their love and marriage, she had to become a concubine.
But the truth was that, she didn't care about it at all. She just wanted to be as near as possible to the King, even if it meant her pride to low.
But the killer, was very jealous of their relationship. She tried many things on her.
But she was a princess from a disappearing land, she had already suffered. So much to the extent that when the killer tried making it difficult for her, it felt like child's play.
But then she took the soldiers of her own house and killed her. She even stood in front of her body and tortured her to death.
I just felt uneasy thinking about all those, a shiver went down my spine and goose bumps appeared all over.
"It is alright, Lindon." I said. "I am here." I said and leaned in closer to him.
Suddenly the thought hit the back of my mind like a strong hammer.
I then suddenly twitched my fingers. "Ah, a flower petal on your cheek." I said and suddenly got up.
"I kept my Father waiting when I came looking for you." I said and started walking away.
"Ana, I know." He said.
What? What did he know?
I so badly wanted to ask him, but my legs wouldn't stop running.
I exited the Holy Garden and ran towards the Lion Palace for the Main Entrance.
While, I was running away, I caught a glimpse of her sitting happily, chatting with her brothers and sons.
The one who killed Lindon's mother.
The traitor who killed Lindon's mother.
She is...
None other than...
