- William, you're tired!
Alice placed the wine bottle to the side and sat there quietly, staring at the darkness on David's face. She asked softly, "Brother, do you really not want to walk out again?"
It had been so many years; everything that was wrong was already in the past. There was no need for him to continue torturing himself.
"Haven't I already walked out?"
David said with a smile, and his face was at ease, as though he really wasn't suffering any mental injuries.
"Is it because you're brothers, that's why you and William have such strong feelings for compensation?" Alice stood up from the table, "It's because York hasn't had a good time in so many years, and because of some small mistake back then, William is now willing to date a man for six days."
Hearing that, David's smile slowly faded, his hand over his head, his eyes looking out the window at the sky; a single glance was enough to tell that he was serious.
Alice turned, walked to the window and looked down, seeing that the boat approaching, William sat on top of it, and looked in her direction.
Their gazes met in the air.
She couldn't see his face, but she knew he was looking at her, and he only wanted to look at her.
She stood at the window for a long time, just so that William could see her existence. After a long time, Lambert discovered Alice's existence.
Alice bit her lips and turned, only to see David staring at her in a daze. That gaze made her heart jump.
Seeing her turning around, David retracted his gaze, covered his embarrassment and laughed dryly, stretching his hand and taking the bottle of wine to pour. Alice immediately walked over, removed the bottle and directly exposed him again, "Are you thinking of my brother again?"
"You all look too similar." David said; his voice was filled with bitterness, "Sometimes looking at your face, I really feel like that he's still alive."
"That's good too." David said, and then repeated, "Very good."
"Brother, there's something I don't know if I should ask you." Alice said as she stood at the table and looked at his slightly curled short hair.
David nodded, "Go ahead and ask."
"Aren't you going to have another love affair?" Actually, Alice should not have said these words, but seeing David's dejected look, she could not help but say, "Speaking of reality, you're still young, and your future is so long; do you really want to go on like this by yourself?"
David sat there and smiled bitterly, "Actually, I'm a little afraid."
The bell outside the turret rang.
Alice watched him quietly.
David stood up from the table, walked to the carpet and sat down immediately. He leaned his body backwards, raised his hands to his head and leaned them against the wall, his eyes devoid of any light as he looked ahead, and said indifferently, "Just like you said, it will be so long in the future."
"I wish my life had not been that long." After David finished speaking, he laughed, My way of thinking is very childish right?"
None of them seemed like brothers.
Alice stood there with lowered eyes as she looked at him, and her voice gradually grew colder, "Yes, very childish!"
Her voice was as cold as frost.
David looked at her, and startled by the iciness in her tone. He rarely heard her speaking in such a tone.
"Brother, I once detested everything you had done to York, but what can you make up for your negative thoughts? Without York, you still have the Cullen family, your mother, William, and our families. "Alice said, "If you think like this, how much harm will it do to your family?"
David sat there without speaking, in silence, with no expression on his face.
"York is no longer here. If you owe him, then you should go to your next life to repay him. You should be fine for your entire life." Alice said, "If there comes a day when you meet the person you love, wouldn't it be great if you went and chased after him?"
The thought that life wasn't as long as that struck her as horribly negative.
David listened and slowly spoke, "William has also said those words, but I am still the same."
"What?"
Alice asked.
"I don't."
David spat out these two words from his lips.
No, no.
Alice looked at him in a daze, a resolution that could not be shaken off on her wine-smelling face. Just like how William promised Lambert that they would keep each other company for six days, he did not hesitate at all.
No.
No.
No one would be able to persuade him to just do what he wanted!
"You two brothers are all paranoia!"
Alice blurted out as she turned to leave, too lazy to bother with David anymore.
David who was sitting on the carpet looked at the back of Alice and could not help but laugh. It seemed that on the return to Little Chinatown, Alice was extremely angry at the two brothers.
He raised his head, listening to the bell outside the window. With a bitter smile on his face, he picked up a glass of red wine that was placed right beside him. His slender fingers gently swirled around the wine cup as his lips slightly moved.
What answered him was the swaying curve of the liquor.
"William will still have a chance to repeat himself if he doesn't pay. He has lived for a long time, and he will always find the best way to make up for it." David smiled, "I can't do it; how can I wait? What if he didn't have the next life? Tell me, what if there isn't a next life?"
No one answered his question.
The Mr.Robot stood quietly to one side.
On the empty corner of the tower, only the sound of the bell and the loneliness which David had gotten drunk from could be seen.
William and Lambert had been dating for an entire three days.
Alice calculated the time, whether she or William would expose everything first. In the end, William did not.
She should have guessed; his current endurance was astonishing. How could a person who could even endure after being trapped under Mona's cage not be able to endure?
Alice saw that William pretended to be a Lion Dog in front of Lambert every day, being extremely tame, and then vomited even more than she did when she was pregnant.
At first, Alice almost rushed to Lambert every minute and took William away, explaining everything clearly.
But as time ticked by, she became more and more speechless, because William had already paid so much, if she were to interrupt him now, it would be equivalent to destroying all of his sacrifices.
He was always counting down, always talking about six days, and soon it was over.
But he was having a hard time.
That night, Alice stayed in her room and sat on her bed. She heard William puking nonstop in the bathroom as she held the bottle tightly in her hands and scratched the bottle with her nails repeatedly.
After half an hour had passed, William walked out of the bathroom. He had already finished showering and changed into a bathrobe, his entire body was emitting a refreshing feeling, giving off the fragrance of shower milk, but his face was still a little tired.
"This Lambert's metamorphosis treats me like a woman! There was a lot of chatter going on! Once he has cured you of your illness, I will definitely teach him a lesson!"
William said as he grinded his teeth. Only when he returned to this room, and to Alice's side would he be able to return to his true self.
"Here you go. How come you're feeling nauseous again?"
Alice handed the medicine over to him.
"Who told that pervert to look at me with such love. It's fine if I don't look at him, but once he does, I'll vomit!"
William's tone sounded like that he had just eaten a cockroach as he took the medicine in her hand and swallowed it.
Actually, Lambert did not treat William too much, and did not touch his body much, but he was particularly considerate, and seemed to have an endless amount of words with William.
At the beginning, Lambert kept cooking for William to eat, but he stopped after William vomited twice.
"You're going to have a bad stomach."
Alice said.
"If he didn't disgust me, my stomach wouldn't be so bad!" William let out a cold snort, placed the cup to the side, and pulled Alice into a hug, letting out a satisfied sigh, "It's still better to make a woman feel soft."
"In the past two days, I've faced this damn pervert. Even I feel like that I'm a pervert!"
William said as he hugged her, and crawled towards her neck like a pet. Alice touched his soft and silky short hair and said, "Then we will end it."
"This is bad!" It's already been three days. If we give up now, we might as well not start! " William refused to give up no matter what.
She had said from the beginning that she wouldn't be able to get started. She sighed, "Alright, let's go to bed early. We'll talk after we have some rest."
These three days, William felt as if he had more work to do than staying up late at work.
"Yes."
William nodded, he lifted the blanket and hugged her and lay down, then said: "I haven't taken off my makeup to take a bath; you go to sleep first."
"Then you go.I'll wait for you!"
William released her, and stared at her with a pair of black eyes.
"Fine."
Alice got off the bed, walked into the bathroom and took off her long skirt and changed into a bathrobe.
The makeup was gone.
It disappeared yesterday. She had wanted to buy it, but she forgot about it.
Alice frowned, then walked out of the bathroom, "William, did you guys finish taking off my makeup?"
Halfway through his words, he suddenly stopped.
Her feet were bare, and only half of the blanket was covered. The bathrobe was spread open revealing a large portion of her sexy chest; her short hair was not completely dry yet, and her handsome face had no expression, which was completely harmless. The thin lip was tightly pursed, but her brows were still tightly knitted.
It seemed that he was really tired.
Alice walked over and placed his leg on the bed, then pulled over the blanket to cover him. With both hands, she held his head so that he could sleep properly, and helped him move the pillow.
With this set of actions, she was also exhausted to the point of gasping for breath.
Alice bent over and stood in front of the bed with her eyes lowered to look at William's face.
"William, you're tired; do you know?"
Alice looked at her with a pained voice.
William laid there, his eyebrows knitted even more tightly. The thin lip moved. Alice stood up and was about to leave, but William's soft mutters came from behind.
