- There is no rescue Borg Family thought that the vegetable could communicate with the heavens could convey its will, which was foolish.
Alice sat beside William, and upon hearing these words, she was startled for a long time, "Turn a living person into a vegetable? How?"
How could there be such an inconceivable thing? It sounded too absurd.
"They will torture the chosen one. They will not give up until she dies or until she turns into a vegetable. When I was young, I saw them throw a womman from a tall building into the sea, throw her into the fire, and crush her with a carriage." Daniel said, "I always thought that there were no God -selected woman in Borg Family, but I never thought that there is a new one now."
How could a healthy person become a vegetable so easily? This probability was much lower than death, and the amount of pain she had to endure was far too much.
It was truly terrifying.
Alice couldn't imagine what kind of torture those women who were chosen had to go through before death.
Just as she was thinking, she heard William's cold voice, "What is the process of obtaining heaven's will?"
Daniel looked at the ancient door, "The Heavenly Girl is enshrined there, and when obtaining Heaven's will, there will be many guards protecting the Heavenly Girl. Everyone must first take a bath, and then kneel in front of the Heavenly Girl for an entire hour, for heaven's will."
"Is that so? Then there's still a certain amount of time before the ritual. Two hours?"
"Young Master is referring to the time when the Heavenly Girl was taken out?" Daniel did not understand why William was interested in this, and thought, "It should be enough. Borglor is very anxious now, he will urgently need the Heavenly Girl to give him instructions."
"That's enough!"
William said, there was no need to wait any longer. He pressed the button on his watch without hesitation and sent the signal to the people of the Cullen Family to come rescue them as soon as possible.
Under the protection of the guards, Borglor went back to bathe and change.
All of the guards stood beside William, pointing their weapons at them. Sue, who was covered in blood from the slap, was pushed back fiercely again.
A guard raised his leg to kick her.
Alice immediately reached out and pulled her. Sue fell onto the ground with her entire body covered in mud, she looked up at Alice in a daze.
"Get up."
Alice pulled her up.
Sue reached out to wipe the blood on her mouth, then sat down beside Alice with her head lowered.
Alice looked at Sue, thought for a moment, and then raised her hand and patted on her back, saying gently, "Don't worry, we will be able to leave."
William glanced at Alice, then lowered his head to look at the time on his watch, calculating how long it would take for Cullen Family's men to reach the island.
Daniel looked at the guards by his side. Although it was a little difficult, he would risk his life to protect his young master and Alice before the rescue forces arrives.
Sue sat there sobbing in distress. Only after a long time did she raise her head and look at Alice, enduring the pain as she asked, "Don't you hate me?"
Alice raised her eyes and looked towards the altar, "Do you think that what I should do now is hating you?"
This was a strange island.
An ancient feudal and cruel family.
A bloody, barren execution forest.
The guards around you all glared at you. There was no law, no order, no emotion, as if they would not hesitate to thrust their weapons into one's chest in the next second and they would enjoy it.
Sue blamed herself and said, "I was too naive, I thought I could do it by myself, I thought I could do anything."
"Who are you looking for? How dare you set foot on this island with just yourself?" Alice asked.
It must be someone very important.
That was why she was willing to ignore everything else.
Hearing her words, Sue reached out to wipe her tears, then said with a choked voice. "I'm here to find my biological mother."
"Biological mother?"
Alice looked at her in shock.
"Hmm." Sue nodded her head, "I have never seen her before, but I miss her a lot.
I want to save her and bring her along with me.
Alice frowned and asked puzzledly, "This island is isolated from the world. Back then, it was so difficult for my foster father to escape, so why were you living outside while your mother was living on this island?"
"My mother risked her life to help me escape." Sue said, "I didn't know before, but it was only a year ago that my adoptive parents told me about my ancestry. I spent a lot of time gathering information about the Borg Island, and only came here after a year."
"I thought I had prepared well enough, but I didn't expect it to be like this." Sue said as she looked at Alice guiltily. "I'm sorry Miss Alice, I have implicated you, I really did not want to harm you, I was too reckless last night."
She was impulsive.
"Alright, it's useless talking about this now. Be a bit stronger, we can get out." Alice said.
Sue nodded her head and as she was about to say something, she saw Borglor, who had just changed his clothes and was being escorted by a large group of guards, enter the Execution Forest.
The guards rushed in one after another. It was clearly daytime, but everyone lit their torches.
The stench of blood in the air consumed everything.
Soon after, a few people wearing strange attire similar to wizards walked in, and they started to dance around the altar, playing songs that Alice had never heard before.
"Everyone, stand up!"
The Chief Guard pointed his weapon at them.
Looking at the sharp blade, Alice stood up obediently from the broken tree.
William also stood up while staring at the watch on his wrist.
Suddenly, they walked in front of Alice. William reacted quickly and stood in front of her.
Alice frowned, she quietly looked at this scene and asked from behind, "How is it? When will our people arrive?"
"Something is wrong."
William said coldly.
"What's wrong?" Alice asked as William pulled her into her embrace, "Borglor should have already received the news of someone invading the islands by now. A person who is so arrogant would definitely not be as calm as he is now." Alice looked at Borglor and saw that the man was standing on the altar, allowing the wizards to dance beside him. His expression was still calm.
She couldn't help but say, "I saw you send the signal."
With that, Daniel walked forward and whispered, "Young Master, why do our watches keep receiving the news of getting ready? They should be on the island by now."
Alice looked at Daniel in shock.
William's face instantly darkened and he said each word through gritted teeth, "Something's wrong with the signal."
"How is that possible? It worked before, I sent it to someone else on the yacht." Daniel said. How could there be any problems with something that Young Master designed?
William looked at the ground below him that was completely barren and stepped on it as he coldly asked, "Daniel, was this place truly covered with green grass?"
"No, that was Borglor deliberately scaring Alice, he has been like that since he was young, he likes to see people being afraid." Daniel immediately said, "This Execution Forest has never had grass, it has always been bare."
"There's good stuff underground."
William said coldly.
Daniel and Alice were at a loss.
"There's probably something underground that can affect the signal. If we mine it, it would be a considerable amount of wealth." William mocked himself as he looked at Alice, "Congratulations to your man for finding a fortune with your safety."
How could he not have expected this and recklessly brought her to the island?
Stupid.
William, you are too fucking stupid!
Alice's face turned pale. What did that mean? The signal was affected, the people of the Cullen Family would not reach the island without signal, after all, they were only looking for robots, who expected that this matter was so dangerous?
"Then what should we do?"
Sue asked fearfully.
William stood there, pulled her into his embrace and hugged her tightly.
Not knowing why, Alice suddenly felt that William's hug was extremely weak.
She knew him too well. He was confident, even conceited, and he thought his plan was flawless, but now that the situation had suddenly become completely out of control, he began to panic.
But he couldn't show it.
He could do nothing but hug.
Alice raised her hand and held William's clothes. She said with a gentle voice, "It's alright, William, we will definitely pass through this trial."
"I'm afraid, Alice."
William said.
Alice's heart skipped a beat, she laughed, "Don't be afraid, don't they want to take the Heavenly Girl out? Maybe Heaven's Will is on our side."
But the Heavenly Girl was just a vegetable, how could she help them? "Don't worry, I, William, will not give up until the last moment! I will not let you get even the slightest hurt!" William said with a ruthless look in his eyes. Then, he let go of Alice and looked at Daniel, "There's no rescue now. It's only us."
