Chapter 652

My Lord, My Billionaire Master1,585 words~8 min read

David squatted in front of the oil painting and said in a low voice, he placed one hand on the oil painting and stopped on a burning cloud, "Won't you answer? Yes, of course you don't want me to have a short life. Otherwise, why would I be engaged now?"

Everything was predestined.

He turned a blind eye to everything, but he still returned to his home to take on his so-called responsibilities.

He pressed the button on the oil painting. The oil painting was opened like a mechanism, and a picture fell from within.

On the back of the photo, there were some blurry words.

[York, brother likes you. I'll marry you when you grow up, okay?]

David laid on the bed with the photo. His body was buried in the blanket as he looked at the lamp hanging above his head.

His phone suddenly vibrated.

David picked up his phone. It was a servant who sent him photos of clothes he had not tried on.

Every picture reminded him that he was getting married.

He chose the path that he didn't like the most.

"Bam!"

David threw his phone out.

As if all the air in the room had been sucked out, David's breathing became ragged. Holding the photo with one hand, he curled up in pain as he rolled around the bed in pain like a sick person.

After a while, his face was covered in sweat, and his gray eyes were filled with despair.

After a long while, he could no longer stand this suffocating feeling. He sat up on the bed, took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeves.

There were wounds on his sturdy arms. Some were new, some were old. It was extremely terrifying.

David sat there, he extended his hand and opened a drawer next to the bed, from there, he took out a black knife, immediately popping out the blade, and fiercely slashed at his own arm.

The blade slashed down.

Blood oozed out.

With the pain from his wounds, David felt more comfortable. He leaned back and looked at his arm, sweating profusely.

Seeing his own wounds, David felt extremely satisfied.

After more than ten years, William still understood him quite well. He was a weak man.

But this time, he could not choose to hide or to die.

David sat there with one leg up, his hand rested on his knee. He looked down to see the blood dripping from the wound, dripping onto his body and onto the bed.

Comfortable.

David leaned back, raised his head and slowly closed his eyes, enjoying this rare moment of pleasure.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

David suddenly opened his eyes and a voice came out, "Eldest Young Master, is your phone turned off? Miss Joanna is calling to invite you out for a walk."

A walk.

David turned to look at the photo that he placed at the side, smiling, "I knew you wouldn't let me feel comfortable for long."

He blamed him.

Thus, he could only endlessly immerse himself in pain.

David got off the bed and without bothering about the wounds, he immediately rolled down his sleeves, placed the photo back into that oil painting, picked up his jacket and put it on, then stood in the mirror and tidied up his clothes.

The servants came in. "Eldest Young Master, do you agree?"

"Yes." David said.

"Eldest Young Master and Miss Joanna are getting along really well recently. Madam is especially happy that the engagement is approaching, and she is going to attend a banquet today." The servant said.

As far as he could remember, it had been a long time since Madam went to a banquet. It was rare.

"Then tell Madam that I'm on a date today."

Let Mother be happy again.

"Yes, Eldest Young Master." The servant smiled and spoke as glimpsed at David's clothes, which were stained with blood. He asked in shock, "Eldest Young Master, your clothes..."

David looked at his clothes, and only then did he realize that there was a pool of blood on his shirt, "I accidentally cut myself, go and get another set of clothes."

He was calm.

"Yes." The servant turned and walked towards the locker room. He stumbled and almost touched the oil painting. David changed his expression and roared:" Don't touch my painting!"

The servant was startled by the sudden outburst of the usually gentle Eldest Young Master. He immediately stood up and ran towards the locker room.

God, the Eldest Young Master was no better than the Second Young Master. Alice began to study Master Cullen and Elizabeth's daily life day and night. When William walked out of the bathroom, he saw Alice sitting on the bed and reading a yellowed diary.

"Still reading? Your eyes don't hurt?"

William walked over and sat down beside her, frowning.

"It's almost the engagement date. I want to find something." Alice said as she raised her eyes to look at him. William gave a cold snort, "Do you really think that will change Mother's mind?"

"Maybe."

Alice said.

William sat down beside her with one hand wrapped around her waist while the other snatched away the diary in her hand, as he said in a strong voice, "You are not allowed to read it again, go to sleep!"

Alice looked at him, "Let me read a little more."

"Don't read!"

"But it's soon going to be the engagement ceremony. Didn't you say that it is the last chance, that once the engagement ends, nothing can be changed?" Alice went to snatch the book again.

"Even so, you are not allowed read!"

William threw the diary to the side and firmly held her in his arms, preventing her from getting the chance to get the diary again.

"William!" Seeing that, Alice could not help but frown: "Don't be so overbearing, it is you who said I was wrong, I am working hard to make it up."

Time was running out.

If she could not think of a way, she could only watch as the mistake continued. "Yes, I was the one who said that, but I also said that your fault is my fault!" William stared at her and said, "I will be responsible for this mistake!"

"I'm afraid you're going to act recklessly." Alice said honestly.

"I will act recklessly?"

"You're always messing around."

William's intelligence had been challenged, and he stared at her fiercely. "Alice, do you want to compete with me in terms of intelligence?"

"I want to compete in EQ with you." Alice said seriously.

"Get lost!"

"Oh, then I'll read the diary." Alice decisively turned around and was about to get off the bed, but she was pulled back by William. He pulled her into his embrace and placed his hand on her neck, "What? Do you look down on me now, woman?"

She looked back at him. "So you admit you have low EQ?"

"Why do I want to strangle you so much!"

William glared at her.

"Alright, alright, alright. I'm not going to read the diary anymore. I've basically skimmed through everything." Alice sat upright and placed one hand on her own face as she looked at him, "After reading so much, I realized that father is really..."

"What is it?"

William stared at her.

"A cold person. Even when they were married, Father didn't have much time to accompany Mother. The only time they were together was when they discussed the cooperation between the two families, not to mention when Mother was pregnant, he would at most inform the servant to take care of her."

What a cold man.

"Arranged marriage is mostly like this. What's so strange about that? Do you think they're all like those comics you drew, where everyone loves each other so much?" William said in disdain, "How can there be a man like that in reality?"

"Then what are you?"

Alice blurted out.

William glanced at her and boasted shamelessly, "I am more than a mortal!"

Alice helplessly looked at him. Her hands wrapped around her knees as she said, "This kind of man is too cold. Mother has loved him for so many years, but the amount of care she receives is pitifully small."

"It's his responsibility for mother to become like this." Alice said, "Before father died, he didn't care about Mother. He let Mother support the Cullen Family for so many years."

"William, tell me, what kind of charm does father have that made Mother love him so much? " Alice sat beside him and asked.

Hearing this, William said in a low voice, "I don't know."

"If I were not his son, I would be willing to cooperate with someone like father." William paused for a moment, then said slowly, "Father's heart is only filled with ambition, he wants everyone to look up at him, he wants to leave his name behind. So, he only values the Cullen Family in this lifetime, he won't see anything else."

Elizabeth loved Master Cullen's ambition?

"It was great to work with him, because he tried his best to do everything. But to be his son, one is only a tool, a tool to inherit his will."

Alice looked at him, "William, you're still blaming him, right?"

Even if Master Cullen had already passed away.

William's face darkened.

"Say it, why restraining in front of me? Some emotions still need to be properly vented out, don't you think?" Alice pushed him and said.
