"Where?"
the driver asked her.
"Phoenix Road."
Alice got on the car as the driver drove through the night towards the Phoenix Road.
Under Alice's guidance, the driver parked the car somewhere at the crossroads, which was where William would stop everyday when he returned.
She slowly rolled down the window and looked out, recalling the angle William was looking at.
Sure enough, there was the front door and the glass window of the cafe.
Nothing special.
The only thing special about it was that there was a painting inside. Red maple leaves were on the painting, and it was quietly hanging there.
II Alice sat in the car and stared dumbly at the scene, it was so sore on her eyes that she was unable to say a word, tears flowed down from her eyes to her mouth.
A bitter taste.
It was one of her paintings.
When William just returned, he did not see her, nor did he look for her. Instead, he came here every day to look at her paintings for half an hour?
Idiot.
How could there be such a person?
Alice reached out her hands to wipe her tears. So it turns out that he had always been concerned about her, it was just that he changed his way. Thinking of this, Alice smiled again.
From the rearview mirror, the driver looked at Alice who was crying and laughing at the same time, he was confused.
What happened to Miss Alice?
"Go back."
Alice said.
"Alright."
As the driver drove away from Phoenix Road, Alice sat on the back seat and wiped away her tears. Sometimes she would cry, sometimes she would smile.
So it turned out that he had never been so cold to her.
The car slowly drove into the Imperial Castle. Alice reached out to wipe her tears, picked up the mirror and looked at herself. Her eyes were swollen like walnuts.
So ugly.
Alice took out some cosmetics and quickly put on some makeup. She smeared them on her lips to make her face look beautiful and attractive.
It looked better.
As soon as she finished her makeup, the car stopped at the fountain.
Alice opened the door and got out of the car. Daniel and a few servants came out, and seeing that she was finally back, Daniel was extremely happy as he helped to carry the luggage.
"It's good that you're back." Daniel's voice was excited, "This is what we call a family reunion."
The family of four finally gathered together.
"Mom!"
Before Daniel even finished his sentence, an excited, childish voice came from inside. Immediately after, Alice saw Kathy run out like a little bee, straight into her embrace, "Mom, I missed you so much!"
Alice carried Kathy and leaned her forehead against hers as she said happily, "I missed you too. Did you enjoy these past few days with brother?"
"I'm happy."
Alice smiled and patted her head, "Alright, let's go in."
She pulled Kathy's hand and walked inside. Holy stood at the door, the clothes he was wearing were so clean that as if he had just put them on.
"You're back."
Holy bowed towards Alice, his tone was respectful.
Alice realised that she had already gotten used to Holy's attitude. She walked over, squatted down and stared at his little face and said, "Holy, I missed you a lot. How are you doing?"
"I'm fine. Thank you for your concern."
Holy nodded.
After saying that, Daniel and the servant walked in, dragging her luggage. Holy and Kathy both looked over, but Kathy was like an octopus clinging to Alice's body, and asked in a sweet tone, "What is that?"
"It's my luggage. I'll be staying here with you and Dad from now on." Alice said with a smile.
Hearing that, Kathy excitedly jumped up, "Really? Are you going to stay here too, so I can sleep with you?"
"Yes."
Alice smiled and nodded.
"I'm so happy." Kathy hugged her, saying, "I can sleep with Mom."
Alice smiled and patted her hands. Seeing Kathy's brilliant smile, she was truly touched.
"Where's Dad?"
Alice asked.
"Young Master is working in the study room." Daniel said, looking at Alice benevolently, "Dinner is already prepared, why don't you go call young master to come down for dinner?"
"Sure."
Alice agreed. She let Kathy and Holy play for a while, before walking forward. She took the elevator up and walked towards the study room step by step.
In the study room, William was sitting in front of a desk and looked at the documents on the table absent-mindedly Why isn't she here yet?
Did she change her mind again? She started to change again.
What if she really changed her mind?
He had to change back or not? He began to be irritable again. Would she turn her back on him again?
Damn it.
William smashed the documents in his hands onto the table. How could she be satisfied with what he did?
Outside the door, the sound of footsteps could be heard.
It was Alice.
William's black eyes froze, she finally came, he immediately picked up the document and started reading, no, not this one.
William found the correct report on the table and started to look at it. He unconsciously straightened his back and placed his hands on the desk. When Alice walked to the door, she saw William looking at the documents.
A workaholic.
Alice cursed in her heart, but when she thought about how this workaholic spent half an hour a day to look at a painting that she drew before he contacted her, she had nothing to criticize him for anymore.
"Knock, knock, knock."
Alice knocked on the door.
William raised his eyes and looked at her, his expression was cold, and asked coldly: "You are here?"
"Yes, I'm here."
Alice nodded, she thought that he would deny him having asked the driver to bring her back.
"I've thought about it." William leaned back, "Since you're so tactful and you can fulfill my request. I have no reason not let you return, but remember, the pattern between us is..."
"CEO is dominant, while I am the dominated." Alice smiled as she walked towards him, "Don't worry, I'll remember it."
"That's more like it."
William looked at her, she had even put on makeup, she really paid a lot of attention. He shifted his gaze towards her eyes, "What are you crying for?"
Alice touched her eyes. She had already put on makeup, but he could still tell that she had cried?
He was a strange man, too. He did not realize that her ring was missing, but that she had been crying.
"It's nothing."
Alice walked over, laid on William's back and wrapped her arms around William's neck from behind, intimately leaning on him with her lips close to his ear, and said, "Let's go, we're going to eat. Dinner is already prepared."
Her movements were natural.
The scent of her body lingered faintly on the tip of his nose.
William's throat suddenly tensed up. Clearing his throat, he said, "Speak properly."
"Don't you like me coming near you?"
Alice asked.
"There must be some inside story behind all this." William said coldly.
Alice sat on the armrest of the chair. She looked at him a little helplessly, then saw the hint of restraint in his eyes.
It was the same expression as the one she saw in the monitoring video.
Previously, she felt that he was unapproachable, but now, she realized that there was a trace of patience in his eyes.
She couldn't help but let out a sigh. "What exactly are you enduring?"
She didn't understand.
He was a workaholic, but he took the time to look at her paintings; he didn't care about her at all yet when she held him, he was so tense.
She really couldn't understand him.
"What can I endure?" William pulled her hand, stood up from the chair and said coldly, "Go eat."
"Alright."
Alice nodded and followed behind him as she left.
In the dining hall, Daniel and the servants brought the dishes up to them. They were excellent and delicious.
"Mom!"
Kathy hadn't seen her for a few days, the moment she saw her, she pounced on her again.
Alice pulled her and said, "Come, let me carry you."
The table was long.
Alice and the twins sat opposite each other. William sat on the main seat to her right with the lights shining brightly.
Seeing that Daniel was busy preparing the food for the twins, Alice couldn't help but want to ask him to sit down and eat, but she didn't say so.
Take your time.
No rush.
She picked up her cutlery to eat, and while eating, Kathy looked towards Alice and asked, "Mom, where did you go?"
"I went to my parent's house for a few days."
Alice said.
"Did Dad go there too?" Kathy asked.
"Yeah." Alice replied.
Hearing this, Kathy immediately looked as if she had heard something important.
Her eyes turned round as she looked at Alice, "Okay, you two went there together.
You didn't take Holy and me there!"
"Ahem."
William choked and looked at Kathy, "What TV series did you watch? Didn't I say not to show her too many TV series?"
His tone sounded like an uneducated, evil grandma.
"I'm sorry, Young Master. I won't allow them to watch it in the future."
The maids immediately apologized.
"Hm."
Being stared at by William's cold eyes, Kathy was immediately frightened into silence, but she was still not convinced, muttering from her little mouth, "Hmph, you ran out to play with your wife, and didn't let your daughter watch TV."
