Alice finished eating the Egg-Fried Rice and walked to his side to see what he was doing. William's fingers moved extremely fast, so fast that she was almost unable to see it clearly.
She only saw a screenshot of the video from the kidnappers.
William used his software to enlarge it.
Alice didn't understand what he was doing as she stood to the side and watched.
William continuously enlarged Kathy's face, and then sighed in disappointment. "It's useless."
"Let me see."
Why was it useless?
Alice took the phone and sat down beside him. The half of Kathy's face was enlarged, and the focus was on Kathy's eyes.
She finally understood William's intention. Sitting in the trunk for a while, Kathy turned her head once and had the image in her eyes.
It was a silhouette, and all that could be seen was a raised arm.
The image was too blurry.
William lifted his hand and picked up the plate, starting to eat. As soon as he ate, the spit it out.
The table was littered with mess.
So disgusting.
William wiped his lips with a tissue and turned to stare coldly at the woman. Was she trying to mess with him? It was so unpalatable and yet she made it look so delicious.
He was just about to berate her, Alice held his phone and looked at it.
"What's wrong?"
William asked.
"Could it be him?" Alice was suspicious, but how could it be him.
"What did you see?" William wiped his lips and asked, and cleaned up the mess on the table.
Alice handed the phone over to William, "Mr. Y, I remember that he has this type of watch."
William enlarged Kathy's eyes on the screenshot, and just barely caught a glimpse of an arm, revealing a white watch on his wrist. She had an impression of this watch.
That's the watch Mr. Y was wearing.
Hearing that, William's face darkened, he sat by her side and took his phone, his voice was filled with a sense of strangeness, "You even remember what watch he's wearing?"
She had a good memory.
"Yeah." Alice replied.
William stared at her coldly, "You care so much about others?"
Alice pointed to the watch on the phone and said, "This watch is a limited edition, that's why I remember, could it be that he kidnapped the twins?"
It couldn't be him, right? He didn't seem like someone who needed money.
Mr. Y.
William stared at her, "So you are the culprit behind this. If you don't break up with me, everything will be fine."
"I..." Alice was tongue-tied, she didn't know how to explain herself, "If it's been so long since I've met Mr. Y, if he wants to scheme against me, he could have already done it."
She had lived with Daniel for the past four years, so it should be easy for a person like Mr. Y to deal with her.
Why wait until now to kidnap the twins?
"How long?"
William asked coldly.
How long.
Alice held her forehead as she thought about this question, recalling her previous life, "It started from when I opened the gallery. He would come over every quarter to buy a painting and never tell me anything else. If he wanted to do something to me, he should have done it early."
"How can you guess a man's thoughts? Who do you think you are?"
William said coldly.
Alice didn't care about the jealousy in William's tone, and only thought about what she should do now.
If it really was Mr. Y, what did he want? Would he hurt the twins?
William took out his phone and passed it to her, "You are very good at drawing, draw this person's appearance, Daniel said that every time the other party came, he would not be around, he had never seen him."
Alice sat there silently.
"Draw. Do you still want to save the twins? "William placed the phone in Alice's hand.
Alice looked at him and said in a low voice, "I can't. That Mr. Y has never shown his real face, he always wears sunglasses and a mask. The only features I can remember are short curly hair and this watch."
Hearing that, William's gaze became especially cold, and his tone became even more serious, "Alice, you're really bold, you dare to befriend someone who doesn't even show you his true face?"
Daniel actually did not tell him this, and only said that he could not find any clue. Damn it.
"Not really. He's just my customer." Alice said.
"What happened next? What's the point of hiring a team of lawyers for you? This person acts so strangely, don't you see what his special purpose is?"
William coldly lectured her.
Alice weakly sat there and honestly said, "I thought that he might..."
"What"
"He might have pursued me." Alice paused, then met William's black eyes, "Because he always have me gifts, and hired the team of lawyers for me, and even said that he particularly admired my paintings."
William clenched his fingers tightly and stared at her coldly, "Gifts?"
"Perfume, silk scarves, etc." Alice said in detail.
"Alice, why didn't you tell me? Only when something bad happens will you be willing to tell me? " William took his phone and threw it to the tea table heavily. "Bam."
A crisp sound rang out.
Alice looked at him blankly. Her expression was blank and she couldn't react for a moment.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
William looked at her coldly.
"You conduct violence." Alice said hesitantly as she pointed to the phone. Didn't he say that he had become extremely calm and wouldn't do anything violent?
"..." William was also speechless, he stood up from the sofa, "Then what is the purpose of this person? If he wants to possess you, why he kept you trapped in this place?"
Alice sat on the sofa and reached for her phone, thinking for a moment, "Maybe it's not him, I'll call him and ask."
The moment her fingers made contact with the screen, William's cold voice sounded, "You call him now and he'll already be aware of the fact that you knew his existence. In the kidnapping case, do you know how high the chances of the hostage getting murdered once the identity of the kidnappers are exposed?" William's voice woke her up.
Alice did not continue, and asked, "Then what should we do?"
"What else can we do if we are led along by the nose?" William stood behind her and looked down at her hair, his voice was cold, "Tell me about that Mr. Y."
"Actually, there's nothing much to say."
She and Mr. Y had only met a few times, and nothing special happened.
"Tell me everything you've said to him. I want to know what kind of person he is." William went around the sofa and sat down beside her.
"Alright."
"Remember, all of them! Tell me every single detail!"
William added.
For the sake of the twins, Alice tried her best to recall the scene when she first saw Mr. Y, "I remember that I had just opened the gallery not long ago. Actually, I didn't open it to make a profit, I just wanted to open a shop there."
William leaned his head back and leaned lazily on the sofa to listen.
"At that time, the public and the media were speculating a lot about me, and they basically came to watch a joke, not to buy paintings."
When she thought about that period of time, she couldn't remember how she endured it. Every day, many people deliberately walked into the gallery, not to look at paintings, but her... the woman who would marry a psychopath for money. "Then why did you still keep your shop? Do you really like doing things that don't produce any value?"
William said coldly, with a hint of ridicule.
Hearing him, Alice smiled bitterly and looked at him, "As long as there's someone who can tell me your location, it would be worth it."
William's expression froze for a moment. Yes, the reason she opened that gallery to find him, and when he came back, he heard people calling that gallery the Watchman's Gallery. "Continue."
His voice was a little uncomfortable.
"Alright."
Alice nodded and continued to work hard to recall the past, "It was at that time that Mr. Y appeared in my gallery. He was the first customer to buy my painting. I remember that I was packing up when he walked in. He was dressed well and he exuded an indescribably noble aura. He was tall and slender."
"How many modifiers do you need? He's the one who kidnapped your son and daughter!"
William cast a glance at her.
"Didn't you tell me to say everything?" She was just seriously recalling her memories.
William's face became extremely ugly, he raised his cup and drank a mouthful of water, then said coldly: "Speak, tell me all the modifiers that you can think of."
"His demeanor is very elegant and his temperament is extraordinary. I have to say that his temperament is not at all like yours, that you show off and give people a sense of oppression. His temperament is that... although he's noble, he won't make people feel uncomfortable." Alice said as she recalled what had happened at that time.
"You involved me in?"
What did she mean by showing off?
Alice looked at him innocently, "Please don't interrupt me anymore. I won't be able to clearly recall what happened a few years ago."
