The audience listened attentively. They were greatly disappointed that they did not hear the CEO and the his fiancee quarreling.
They really wanted someone who can manage CEO.
William stared at her. He extended and picked up the chopsticks, and started eating. Following her instructions, he drank a lot of the soup, quickly but gracefully.
"Why don't you rest in the afternoon?"
Alice said while standing beside him. She did not like to see his eyes that were drenched in blood.
"No need, go to my office. I'll be there in a moment."
William rubbed his thin lip as he looked at her.
'TH stay with you." Alice said.
William's gaze trembled, swept across some of the men present and coldly said, "I said there's no need! I will be there!"
He meant it.
Alice laughed bitterly, and nodded her head. It was as though in front of William, she had never been stubborn enough to succeed.
"I'm going out."
Alice took the tray and left, returning to Office of the President alone.
The sun was warm.
She stood in front of the french window as she looked at the bustling city, indifferently. William's eyes shined when he suspected her, as though he was looking at a woman who had cheated.
She knew it was not his true thoughts.
But she would still feel uncomfortable.
Alice sat on the floor and looked outside quietly. Traces of pai were ving in her heart, slowly torturing her.
She lay down on the floor, released her hands, and slowly closed her eyes.
It will be fine.
Everything will be fine.
It will all be over.
As Alice continued to hypnotize herself. But suddenly, she closed her eyes. She could feel that the light in front of her had disappeared, and she was trapped in darkness.
Her heart tightened, and she immediately opened her eyes.
However, she saw William standing right in front of her. She laid on the ground, and it was hard to see his face or expression, but a figure.
She sat up from the ground, and William quickly squatted down as well.
At the same time.
Alice almost crashed into his face as she stared at him in a daze. William squatted in front of her, placed both his arms on her knees, and stared straight at her.
She looked into his eyes and sat cross â legged on the ground, not knowing where to put her legs.
"Did I make you angry?"
William suddenly asked with a low voice.
"What?"
Alice was stunned.
"You were just angry." William stared at her deeply, as if he was trying to find something out from her expression, "Why aren't you yelling at me now?"
She used to yell at him when she was angry to a certa degree. "Yell at you?" Alice laughed lightly, "William, are you a masochist?"
His tone clearly indicated that he was waiting for her to yell at him.
"I remember that you used to like yelling, but since when did you stop doing that?" William stared at her face, squatting in front of her and thinking seriously, "When did it start? Why can't I remember?"
Alice's smile froze.
Since the engagement.
From the moment she discovered that his condition had worsened.
She was the only one who had ever known his idea.
"Why didn't you yell at me?" William said.
"Why should I yell at you?"
"Because you're angry."
"Do you mind if I get angry?"
"Nonsense!"
Alice chuckled softly, looked at his eyes that were as black as ink, and said: "Then if you don't want me to be angry, you can rest in the afternoon and let everyone rest as well. For the sake of catching a traitor, you made everyone panic, isn't that good?"
Hearing that, William's face darkened. He stared at her and coldly, "Why do you have to speak up for N.E. 's employees these days? Who are you speaking for? Are you talking to the man who spoke to you in the tea room yesterday?"
The man looked like a embryo.
"Don't be so suspicious, alright?" She did not.
"Then why do you keep speaking for them?" William asked in displeasure, his face turning even worse.
"Because I'm afraid they might complain about you." Alice sat in front of him and said gently, "Just let them rest, even if it's just for half a day."
"Who are you speaking for?" William thought about this problem.
"I didn't." Alice frowned, "I love you. Who I concerned is you."
"I don't need to rest. I will quickly capture the traitor and ensure that N.E. will not be disturbed. Then, I will go save your father!" He did not have much time to rest, and the people below could not rest either.
Alice frowned, "William!"
"Alright. I'm going to do something. You should take a nap if you want to bask in the sun!"
William interrupted her and stood up towards the desk.
Alice sat where she was, and her fingers buried in her hair.
She should have been the most obedient person in his world. But just a few looks and the conversation between her and the staff, then he couldn't help but suspect her.
Nothing.
She turned to look at William. Seeing that he was working hard giving him no time to rest, she fell back and laid down on the floor once again.
Italy.
In the hospital, men wearing black leather clothes stood in the corridor. Leon stood by the door.
Inside the door.
"Okay, now open your other eye."
An Italian doctor was checking Patrick's eyes.
Patrick sat in front of the equipment. He was wearing a white shirt and had a handsome face with distinct facial features.
"OK."
The doctor nodded at him, "Mr.Miller, I will inform you once I get the results."
"Yes."
Patrick stood up in front of the apparatus, and his dark brown eyes were long and narrow. He lowered his head to look at his hands, and felt that his vision was becoming more and more unclear.
He picked up the suit beside him and put it on his arm before heading out.
When he opened the door, Leon lowered his head towards him. "Young Master Miller, he is waiting for you in the doctor's lounge at the end of the hall."
"Got it."
Patrick said coldly. He raised his leg and walked to the front: "How is Mary?"
The subordinates on both sides bowed their heads to him.
With Xavier's incident, now that the Browns respected him, everyone was even more respectful to him.
"Madam believes in Mary very much right now. Madam was doubt William since she knew something about York. She is betting all her hopes on you. Madam is slowly pulling the people William sent over away from her side."
Leon said. He couldn't help but be impressed by the Young Master Miller's planning.
Everyone's arrangement was messy, but it was useful when things happened. For example, Miss.Mary.
Initially, he did not even know the intention why Young Master Miller brought Miss.Mary back, but only now did he know that it was to control Madam.
Patrick "The Browns treated me so good, so I won't do something harmful to them. As long as uncle and aunt are in my control, I will not do anything to them_ said coldly, "I need real power in order to be in an invincible position." "Yes, Young Master Miller." Leon nodded and thought for a while before continuing, "But, if Alice had not followed William back the and talked to her, with her pure personality, I'm afraid she would use William. Maybe William would receive everything."
During the few hours that William was in Young Master Miller's office, he had truly wiped the sweat off his forehead, afraiding that he would find something.
At that time, their plan would fail.
"She will follow along. Because in her eyes, William needs her more than Aunt."
Patrick sneered.
"Is this also within your expectations?" Leon was stunned, "What do you mean William needs Young Miss more than Madam?"
Patrick cast a cold glance at Leon, then push open the lounge door, and said, "You should ask Miss.Lancaster."
In the lounge, the sunlight illuminated the entire room. On the black leather sofa, a tall and beautiful young woman was sitting there, holding a glass of red wine. Her slender legs were pressed together at the side, her posture was extremely seductive, her golden hair was dazzling, and under her long hair was a beautiful and generous face.
It was the young miss of the Lancaster family: Mona.
The first time Patrick found out about the recurrence of his eye disease, Mona came to his door and immediately made a deal with him.
One is good at scheming.
The other was an expert in psychological research who also knew William's secrets.
It was not difficult for the two of them to plot something.
Seeing them enter, Mona looked at Patrick from the sofa that the man from the east side had a good appearance, but was slightly less than William. "Congratulations Young Master Miller." Mona shook the wine cup in her hand, her red lips curving upwards, "The entire Browns is in your hands."
"Isn't it too early to congratulate me?" Patrick threw the suit to the side and looked at Mona coldly. "William has already mixed the gaps. He will make a comeback in the next moment, and pounce at me like a fierce tiger."
"Young Master Miller's plan is so messy and perfect. It seems like everything is unrelated to each other, so how could William guess that we are the mastermind."
"He's not an idiot."
Patrick said coldly.
With regards to the Browns, William only heard a single clue and started to suspect him. If he did not have a trump card, William would already be striking him down.
"I'm here for celebrating with Mr.Miller. Since it's a celebration wine, it means that we will definitely succeed."
Mona laughed and said, her voice filling with charm.
"Definitely?" Patrick sneered, "I don't think so."
"Mr.Miller is so good at planning. In a few short months, you could create a considerate arrangement for the whole thing, and you even control the Browns, which has greatly expanded my horizons."
Mona said, as she raised the wine cup gracefully and took a sip. The taste of the red wine flowed into her mouth, extremely enchanting.
