The rest of the week flew by and the weekend had just begun, Malik's first week of college had gone better than he expected. He has mates in all his lessons, and he was enjoying his subjects, so was off to a great start.
Bruce had arranged for Madi to stay with them for a while, he knew her and Malik didn't get along a lot of the time, but he believed this would help them get along better. The girl also had a lot going on at home, and Bruce being the caring uncle that he is, didn't want that to interrupt her education.
The sun shone brightly through the crack of the curtains in Maliks bedroom, and directly into his face which woke him up. He was relieved to know that he had woken up dry, even though he hadn't wet the bad in a while now, he still worried he would randomly wake up one morning wet. He then noticed his bladder was quite full, and decided it was time for him to get up.
He opened his bedroom door and looked down the hall, surprised to see Madi rubbing her eyes as she closed the door of the guest room behind her.
'She must have just woke up too,' he thought to himself, 'no way is she getting in that bathroom before me, girls take ages getting ready.'
With that said, Malik rushed into the bathroom, locking the door behind him. He'd just begun doing his business when he heard a knock at the door.
"I'm in here." He said.
"Well no shit. How long will you be?" Madi replied, she sounded annoyed and tired.
"Hmm...how longs a piece of string?" Malik smirked to himself.
"I dunno, probably a lot longer than your bits."
Malik frowned, "whatever, I'm gonna be a while now."
"Malik! It was a joke oh my god." Madi groaned.
Bruce was stood at the bottom of the stairs listening to the pair of them arguing, "what's up now?"
"I need the loo, he won't let me in and he's saying he's gonna be a while." The girl complained.
"Sorry kiddo, you'll just have to wait, i'm sure he won't be long." Bruce told her.
Madi heard the shower turn on and sat down, leaning against the door.
She waited...
And waited...
And waited some more, until it felt like she'd been sat there for hours, however, it had only really been 10 minutes.
She knocked again, "Malik are you almost done? I need a wee."
"Okay, and?" The boy replied
"What do you mean 'and' ? I need the toilet." Madi said frustratedly.
"Not my problem."
"Malik! Please!"
"Alright alright, I'm done now." He told her as he turned the shower off.
"Quick, open the door." The girl twisted the handle to find that the door was still locked.
"I can't" Â Malik told her.
"Yes you can." Madi tried to open the door again.
"I forgot to bring a towel, and underwear, and clothes." Malik admitted.
"Oh my goddd, you're such an idiot. Where are they?"
"In my room" The boy laughed.
Madi went into his room and rummaged through his drawers, she grabbed a pair of boxers and then a pair of shorts before picking out a hoodie for him. She burried her face into the hoodie and inhaled through her nose, breathing in his scent. 'Why does he always smell so good?'
She shook her head and quickly removed the hoodie from her face, adding it to his pile of clothes. She picked up a towel and a pair of socks before heading back to the bathroom.
"Okay, I've got your stuff." She said, balancing the pile in one arm as she knocked at the door.
"I'll open the door so you can pass me them, but don't look." The boy told her.
"Why would I look you weirdo, there's probably nothing to see there anywa-" Her sentence was cut off when the door swung open, she hadn't closed her eyes yet as she wasn't expecting him to open the door that fast.
"I said don't look, idiot." Malik smirked.
"I didn't know you meant you was gonna open it that very second!" Madi replied.
"You're still looking..."
She realised he was right, she was still looking, but it looked at her first! And then she couldn't help but notice how good the rest of his body looked too, she could tell he was eating better and working out more. Gosh, and his hair looked good even when it was soaking wet.
"Are you done?" Malik asked, interrupting her thoughts.
"What? Yes! I mean, I wasn't even looking, just take your stuff and hurry up." Madi shoved his clothes and towel into his arms.
Malik closed the door again and dried himself off before getting dressed.
Madi could not get that image out of her head, and knew she wouldn't be able to for the rest of the day, or probably the rest of her life. She was so embarrassed that she stood and stared for so long.
The lock clicked and the door opened once again. Malik noticed that the girl couldn't even look him in the eyes as she rushed past him into the bathroom and quickly shut the door. He grinned to himself as he walked downstairs and into the kitchen, were he was hit by the smell of breakfast and saw Bruce sat at the counter. He looked so serious with his glasses on and his fingers typing away on his laptop as he worked. That was until he realised Malik had entered the room, to which then he smiled.
"Goodmorning, boy." Bruce said.
"Morning." Malik still couldn't wipe the grin off of his face.
"What are you so smiley about?" The man asked closing his laptop, intrigued to why the boy was in a good mood for once.
"Oh nothing, just happy to see you." Malik told him.
"Good one, are you sure it's not because your crush is here?" Bruce teased.
"Have you ever thought that maybe she's the one with the crush? Not me."
The man laughed, "oh yeah, and what makes you think that?" He asked, before taking a sip of his coffee.
"She walked in on me naked, and then stared for a good minute or so." Malik shrugged like it was nothing, but to him this was the best start to his day.
Bruce spat his coffee out, "SHE WHAT?!"
Malik laughed
"Boy, that's gross! I'm sure she was just shocked, poor girl..." Bruce shook his head, wiping his coffee off the counter.
Malik frowned, "what do you mean 'poor girl' ? More like poor me! I told her not to look and she did, and then i had to tell her that she was still staring at me."
"Oh my god, Malik, TMI."
The boy grinned, "what's for breakfast?"
"I made pancakes, there's Nutella, whipped cream, maple syrup, chopped strawberries, bananas and blueberries to have with them if you like. Don't be going overboard on the Nutella, though." Bruce said sternly.
Malik decided he only wanted bananas and blueberries with his pancakes, and piled them onto a plate before sitting at the counter beside Bruce.
Madi finished up in the bathroom and headed downstairs, still red in the face due to embarrassment.
"Good morning, sleepy head." Bruce smiled at her, getting up off his chair, "Would you like some pancakes?"
"Yes please." The girl replied sitting down, still avoiding eye contact with Malik.
"Alright, I've got; Nutella, whipped cream, maple syrup, strawberries, bananas and blueberries to go on top if you'd like any of those?"
"Just strawberries, please."
"I was about to say, I don't think there's much banana left thanks to Malik..." Bruce replied.
Malik choked on his pancake, and Madi's face flushed even more pink.
"Yeah, I just love bananas." Malik smirked.
"As you should, bananas are really good for you." The man continued, completely unaware of what the boy was doing.
"Sooo true. Do you want some of mine, Madi?" Malik asked.
Bruce's eyes widened as he caught on.
"I- er-" Madi stammered helplessly over her words in shock.
Malik pushed his place towards her, "I'm full, you can have the rest, save a good source of protein going to waste." He said, getting up off his seat and strolling back up to his room.
Madi watched in awe as he left. He was so...clever, he knew exactly what he was doing and he was loving it.
"Here you go, pancakes and strawberries." Bruce set the plate down in front of her.
"Thank you." Madi replied. She ate quickly, wanting to get out of there asap.
