Chapter 102 Contempt and Reprimand
Unlike everyone, Hansonâs deadpan face turned grim, and he frowned reflexively upon hearing the manâs voice.
How can a manâs voice be so whiny? Canât he talk properly?
He got even more exasperated at the thought of Vania being super close with that guy.
It seemed that this guy knew Vania longer than he had. In other words, he probably knows everything about her that I donât! By the looks of things, they probably hang out more often than I realize!
The great President Lukeâs point of interest at this point was surely different from everyone elseâs.
While everyone was amazed at Vaniaâs closeness with Mr. Wright, Hanson wondered if this Wyatt guy had a thing for Vania.
Just then, Vania spoke up. âNo assignments. Are you free right now?â
âWhat do you think?â
His tone was basically, âAs if you donât know my current situation.â
Hansen was rendered even more exasperated now. I knew it! Theyâve been hiding a lot of things behind my back!
Vania knew Wyatt was deliberately acting up, but it wasnât the time to joke around now. âIâm at Fantasy Daydreamâs event at Hammond International Hotel. I need you to come over.â
Wyatt chuckled in response. âI happen to be running an errand here. Iâll be there immediately.â
âAlright, bye.â
At that, Wyatt put his phone away and got out of his car.
He had been watching the live stream as well, and as soon as he saw Melanieâs accusation, he immediately came to Hammond International Hotel. He just didnât turn up to the event.
Wyatt graduated from an advertising design college, and Vania was the one who discovered his talents. From then on, he ventured into the advertising world, becoming Mr. Wrightâs assistant.
He was actually an introvert who respected Vania very much, and he had deliberately acted irreverently on that phone call.
Meanwhile, everyone started getting restless when they heard that Mr. Wrightâs assistant would be coming, and they all gushed at once.
âI canât believe how easily Vania had Mr. Wrightâs assistant come over! Surely there will be a turn of events.â
âDoesnât Melanie have Mr. Wrightâs number too? Why couldnât she find it just now?â
âVania looked so cool after she said she wanted to hold Melanie accountable.â
âJudging from her look, everything is under her control.â
Not five minutes after the call, Wyatt showed up and was escorted onto the stage by a hostess.
Standing in front of everyone was a bookish-looking young man in glasses. âHello everyone, Iâm Mr. Wrightâs assistant, Wyatt Lestrange,â he greeted politely.
Surely, no one could fake it now that Wyatt himself had come.
Melanieâs heart began racing at that, for things had gotten completely out of her hand, and she couldnât predict what would happen next.
Hanson, on the other hand, felt much better after seeing the scrawny kid on the stage. He didnât even need to look closely to know this Wyatt guy wasnât Vaniaâs type.
At that, he straightened his posture and finally relaxed his furrowed brows, looking much brighter than a few minutes ago.
Back on the stage, Melanie pointed toward the file on her phone and gestured for Wyatt to take a look. âSince youâre Mr. Wrightâs assistant, youâll know if this is his work, right?â
âYes.â Wyatt said without a second thought after taking only one swift glance.
âWhat?! Is that really Mr. Wrightâs work?â
âThat means Vania really stole Mr. Wrightâs work, right?!â
The tides had once again turned that moment, and everyone began looking at Vania with contempt, reprimanding her.
