After a very difficult loss, the Colgate Raiders return to Dwyer Arena to finish the weekend series with Niagara on Saturday afternoon in Niagara. Andrew Takacs and Chad Veltri matched zeros in the first period so, no score after one period of play at Dwyer Arena. With 12:43 left in the second period, Casey Curreau scored to make it 1-0 Purple Eagles. With 10:49 left in the second period, Simon Labelle scored his second goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. With 8:41 left in the second period, Glebs Prohorenkovs scored to make it 2-1 Niagara. With 1:24 left in the second period, Matt Verboon scored his seventh goal of the season, on the power play to tie the game 2-2. Takacs and Veltri matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-2 remains our score heading to period number three. Takacs and Veltri matched zeros in the third period so, we'll play extra hockey because of a 2-2 tie between Colgate and Niagara. With 3:33 left in overtime, Shane Ott scored to win the game for the Purple Eagles 3-2. Colgate dropped to 6-9-1 on the season.
