Unable to find anyone to ask, Qin Youxuan could only return to her room to pack her belongings, then she went downstairs to eat.
Throughout the entire day, Qin Youxuan didnât see Dan Hanjieâs return.
Rui Hui did show up later, but no matter how much Qin Youxuan pressed, she could not pry open her mouth.
When Rui Hui was cornered, she dragged her to shoot practice.
After a round of taxing activities, Qin Youxuan was exhausted, lacking the energy to further inquire.
âDo you want some orange juice?â Rui Hui walked into the living room with two cups of orange juice, offering one to Qin Youxuan who lay on the couch.
âRui Huiâ¦â
Qin Youxuan sat up from the couch, taking the orange juice from her and placed it on the table, beseechingly looking at her.
Rui Hui immediately shielded her eyes, âDonât look at me like that, Iâm not going to say anything. You could consider calling Yao, itâs easier to crack him open.â
âQuit lying, if Yaoâs mouth was so easy to pry open, I wouldnât need to ask you.â Qin Youxuan lamented.
Yaoâs loyalty to Dan Hanjie had reached a maddening level.
Taking his life would be easier than getting him to betray Hanjie.
She would have to be crazy to ask Yao.
âOh, so you thought you could squeeze some info out of me, the easy target, huh?!â Rui Hui got upset, drained the juice from her cup in one gulp, knelt on the couch, ready to square up with Qin Youxuan.
âI wish you were such a soft target. I wish I could squeeze something useful out of you. Sadly, I misjudged.â Qin Youxuan lazily cast a glance at her and fell back onto the couch dejected.
After a pause, she reached out for the remote, readying to turn on the TV.@@novelbin@@
âAh! I just remembered something, come with me somewhere.â Rui Hui suddenly shrieked, reaching to grab the remote from Qin Youxuan, preventing her from turning on the TV.
She pushed away the remote, pulling Qin Youxuan to leave.
ââ¦.â
Qin Youxuan was stunned, then quickly caught Rui Huiâs hand, âWhatâs the matter? Why so jumpy? Didnât we just come back from outside?â
âYes, yes, but I just remembered another method to quickly improve shooting accuracy, letâs go practice more.â
Rui Hui held tightly onto Qin Youxuan, pulling her towards the yard.
ââ¦.â
Qin Youxuan observed Rui Huiâs hurried figure, frowning in confusion.
Rui Hui never forced her to do anything. Besides, they had already practiced to exhaustion, why would Rui Hui suddenly think of some method, insisting on urgent shooting practice at this time.
A bolt of realization shot through Qin Youxuanâs mind, she forcefully let go of Rui Huiâs hand, turned around and sprinted towards the living room.
Picking up the remote that Rui Hui had placed on the table, she instantly turned on the TV.
âXuanâ¦â
Rui Hui rushed in a step too late, witnessing the television frozen on a news channel, she knew she was in trouble.
âDan Groupâs stock prices have been falling continuously, current CEO Dan Hanjie has been unanimously dismissed by the board of directors, now, letâs take a look at the live replayâ¦â
The anchorâs voice clearly reached Qin Youxuanâs ears.
On screen was a news conference from within the Dan Group.
Dan Hanjie sat on the stage, with a row of microphones in front of him, surrounded by a sea of reporters, countless camera lenses pointing directly at him as flashbulbs flickered.
He looked incredibly grim, almost reaching the peak of darkness.
From start to end, he never said a word.
Just coldly scrutinizing the crowd below.
He was still unwell, how could he face all these people? What if the reportersâ questions agitate him even further?
