Rui Hui was nearby, picking at her fingernails. Seeing Qin Youxuanâs bewilderment, she casually explained.
At her words, Qin Youxuanâs eyes met hers, her confusion more evident now.
âWe can discuss these issues later. We came here today to ride horses. Are you sure you want to stand here conversing heavily with me?â
Saying so, Rui Hui, pulled Qin Youxuan toward the stables.
Long years of inactivity stirred within her at the sight of the good riding course.
After surveying the stables, she selected a freshly arrived steed.
The horseâs amber coat, robust limbs, and a single whinny were enough to send all other horses into a restless trot.
âIâll go with this one, it looks rather spirited.â
âMiss Rui Hui, this is a new horse and a bit unruly. Would you like to exchange it for a tamer one?â The nearby horse trainer suggested with worry.
Even after training, newly recruited horses were prone to accidents when spooked.
âItâs alright, weâre just going to trot around the indoor course. No harm will come to it. Now, donât dampen the mood and bring out the horse!â
âYes.â
The horse trainer did not dare to refuse her and led the selected horse out of the stable.
âIâll take this one.â
Knowing that Dan Hanjie would be concerned, Qin Youxuanâs choice of a horse was noticeably more conservative, opting for one that seemed docile.
Once both of them had chosen their mounts, they changed into their riding clothes.
By the time they returned to the grassy fields of the equestrian court in their riding attire, Dan Hanjie had already finished a few rounds.
Hanjeiâs tall figure appeared particularly dashing in his riding attire. His riding boots added a touch of heroism. With a flick of his whip, he rode towards Qin Youxuan.
âHup ââ
He stopped at the fence.
Dan Hanjie dismounted and handed his whip to the nearby horse trainer.@@novelbin@@
He walked towards Qin Youxuan.
âIs that your horse?â Qin Youxuan looked excitedly at the horse behind him, clearly interested.
The tall horse head, the arrogant eyes, seemed to look down at everything else.
Frequent movement of the horseâs hooves showed that it wasnât satisfied with just two rounds.
Itâs haughty demeanor was strikingly similar to Dan Hanjieâs.
âForget about it; I wonât let you touch him.â
A single sentence from Dan Hanjie shattered Qin Youxuanâs thoughts.
âWhy?â
Just a horse, and she couldnât even ride it. So stingy.
âMr. Jieâs horse is unyielding. Over the years, no one but Mr. Jie has managed to ride him. Anyone trying to force their way on will unquestionably be thrown off,â
The horse trainer leading the horse respectfully explained to Qin Youxuan.
ââ¦â
Qin Youxuan couldnât help but take a few more glances at the magnificent horse in front of her.
Interestingly, aside from Dan Hanjie, it would let no one else ride it.
Such a horse stirred a great desire to conquer within her.
However, she knew well that Dan Hanjie wouldnât let her take risks, so she dismissed her thoughts.
âRui Hui, letâs give it a go.â
Qin Youxuan motioned for the horse trainer to bring forth her selected mount. After verifying that its hooves were fine, she mounted and, at a flick of her whip, galloped away.
As soon as she set off, Rui Hui followed closely behind.
Before she knew it, Rui Hui had taken the lead.
The two of them, one in front of the other, were engrossed in their chasing game.
They couldnât be happier.
âMr. Jie, Mr. Zexian has arrived.â A nearby assistant quietly reminded.
As Hanjie looked back, he caught a glimpse of Diwu Zexuan entering the horse-riding field. His gaze flickered for a moment before landing on Qin Youxuanâs silhouette in the equestrian field, âAssign a few more people to follow them, we canât afford any accidents.â
