Xin Changâs figure sank into the sofa.
âHeâs fine, just overly stressed beyond his physical limit, causing him to faint. He will wake up after a good sleep.â
Diwu Zexuan pointed to a spot in front of him.
Rui Hui immediately sat down in a huff.
âI didnât call you, switch places.â Diwu Zexuan glanced at Rui Hui, lazily closed his eyes.
His posture, as if he couldnât be bothered to look at her again.
Instantly, Rui Hui blew a fuse.
Just about to have an outburst, Qin Youxuan held her back.@@novelbin@@
She leaned in and whispered, âDonât be rash, let him finish. Thereâs a patient here.â
Then Qin Youxuan gestured toward Dan Hanjie.
âI can treat him too, itâs not like heâs the only option!â Rui Hui retorted defiantly.
âOf course I believe you!â Qin Youxuan nodded fervently, then lowered her voice again, âBut isnât Dan Hanjie in a dangerous state now? What if he freaks out again? Itâs best to let Diwu Zexuan handle it, and if he gets hurt, you can be the damsel saving the hero. That would return the favor, right?â
Rui Hui paused, then nodded, âThat does make sense, Iâll let him.â
âExactly!â
Qin Youxuan breathed a silent sigh of relief, finally able to sit down on the sofa.
Diwu Zexuan lazily opened his eyes, glanced at Rui Hui, and silently mouthed two words: Idiot.
ââ¦â
Qin Youxuan caught on but didnât dare make a sound.
These two had just risked their lives for each other, and now they were about to fight. It was so frustrating.
âWhat triggered him this time?â
Quickly, Diwu Zexuan returned to calm, looking at Qin Youxuan and voiced his question.
ââ¦Iâm not sure, he was fine during dinner. I noticed he wasnât sleeping well, so I asked the housekeeper to pour him a glass of red wine. He lost control just as the wine arrived.â
Qin Youxuan squinted her eyes, straining to recall.
âRed wine?â Diwu Zexuan remembered the noise theyâd heard just before bursting into the dining room, and understood.
âThe trigger wasnât the wine itself, but its color, which is similar to blood.â
ââ¦â
Qin Youxuan jolted and turned to look at Dan Hanjie, her eyes filled with sympathy.
He wasnât someone who was faint at the sight of blood. The sight of blood made him lose control because it stirred some memories.
His motherâs brutal death, or Bai Huoâ¦
âHaving identified the problem, I should leave. Until I come up with a solution, try not to let anything else stimulate him.â Diwu Zexuan slowly stood up and walked toward the door.
Seeing his somewhat lagging steps, Qin Youxuan had a hunch that he was hurt, but just didnât want to show it in front of Rui Hui.
Looking at Rui Huiâs expression, she could tell that she had figured it out too.
She just wanted to keep her dignity and felt it improper to ask.
What a pair of stubborn people.
Diwu Zexuan reached the door and suddenly stopped.
He turned his head towards Qin Youxuan, âThe bruise on your shoulder must be painful as well. It would be safer to have a real doctor stay at Yujing Villa, rather than being with someone careless.â
Having said that, Diwu Zexuan waved and walked away.
Rui Hui, who was left behind, watched his retreating figure, seething with rage.
âIsnât that because I was prioritizing the more seriously ill patient first? What tone is he using! I canât do it, why doesnât he treat you himself? If youâre tough, donât walk away, Iâll tear you apart!â
ââ¦â
Before Qin Youxuan could respond, Rui Hui had already run out.
In a moment, she was back, carrying a medical box in her hand.
âCome on, take off your clothes. Iâll apply the medicine for you.â
