Chapter 524: I have bad luck, I can't afford to suffer

Qin Youxuan climbed out of the car in a huff, slamming the door shut and quickly following after.

Still seething, she ordered a bunch of food without even looking at the man across from her, and began to feast with utensils in hand.

Only after her belly was round and full did she reach for a napkin to wipe her mouth contentedly.

“You only had a few bites?”

Setting down her napkin, Qin Youxuan pointed at the virtually untouched steak across the table and quietly lambasted him in her heart.

Big capitalists loved wasting resources.

With her stomach full, Qin Youxuan perked up again. Her delicate face brimmed with energy, and her smile became more prominent.

Dan Hanjie shot her an icy glare, stood up, and left the restaurant.

Qin Youxuan pouted and muttered before swiftly following him out.

This time, they sat in the car without uttering a single word.

The car steadily drove to Guanlan Lake Scenic Area.

“Phew——”

Qin Youxuan quickly pushed open the car door and alighted, taking a long breath of air.

As she turned her head, she met Dan Hanjie’s deep gaze and jumped in surprise.

She stepped back suddenly, tripping over the curb, and her petite body fell backwards.

“Watch out!”

Dan Hanjie drew his hand back quickly, caught her around the waist, and instantly pulled her into his arms.

The near-miss scene was heart-throbbing, yet strangely beautiful…

“Stunning! This photo could surely be entered for the annual best photography award!” As Ning Yanan emerged from a nearby bush, she sported a wide baseball cap and a sizable backpack strapped to her shoulders.

As she walked towards Qin Youxuan, she kept exclaiming over the amazing photo she had captured.

Before she even made it to Qin Youxuan, her eyes caught sight of a flashy sports car speeding towards them. It performed a dramatic, perfect stop just near the entrance.

The car door was pushed open, and out stepped Jiang Jinchen, suavely stepping out of the driver’s seat. He took off his sunglasses, twirling them around his fingers.

Ning Yanan froze in place.

Like she had been electrocuted, she instantly hid behind Qin Youxuan, grinding her teeth, “Why is he here too?!”

“…”

Qin Youxuan was taken aback. She turned her head and pointed at Jiang Jinchen’s displeased look, “You haven’t dealt with him yet?”

“Deal with him my ass! I was almost done in by him!” Ning Yanan made a chopping gesture at her neck.

“Well, then, you two seem like a perfect match. Why don’t I play matchmaker and marry my cousin off to you?” Qin Youxuan teased.

Ning Yanan’s fur immediately stood on end. She stepped back in protest, “Your precious cousin can be someone else’s problem. I’m not blessed enough to put up with that.”

“Whispering something? Why not let me in on it too, to prevent myself from unwittingly becoming a victim someday,” Jiang Jinchen caught sight of Ning Yanan and tossed his sunglasses to a nearby bodyguard with a chuckle.

Ning Yanan’s hair stood on end. She forced out a few dry laughs, and quickly lowered her cap.

She didn’t see anything, she didn’t hear anything.

“Yaya is just helping me out, little Chen. There is no need for bickering between us siblings, right?” Qin Youxuan plastered on a false smile as she walked up to Jiang Jinchen to get closer.

That little ‘Chen’ was making her own skin crawl.

Jiang Jinchen was visibly taken aback too.

He looked at her as if he had seen a ghost for a few seconds before reluctantly shifting his gaze to Ning Yanan, “No one can resolve our debts. You’d better not meddle either.”
