My fatherbrought home a Christmas tree today. Itâs pretty strange to see a real tree inthe living room after so many years of artificial models. And the smell ofgenuine pine in the house is wonderful.
We got thebox of decorations out of the attic, and everyone helped to put them up. It wasreally great.
The flashingChristmas lights each have a different character - not like the shitty Japscrap of the future. Thereâs these spiral aluminium foil (Actually they seempretty old and might even be fashioned from tin foil), twirly things that youhang near a window so that the breeze can cause them to spin. They make methink of the DNA double helix â Now thereâs something you never hear peoplemention these days â DNA.
I was amazedat how late the shops started putting up their decorations and ChristmasSpecials advertizing.
Hell, in thefuture, the malls were already saturated with the stuff in mid October already.
Whatâs more, the gift wrap and cards donât cost more than the presents themselves.
Also, thereâs no flooding of the music market withChristmas songs by all the old has-been musicians who canât make it on themainstream circuits anymore.
Those Jewboys might deny or forsake Jesus, butthey sure know how to monopolize on his birthday.
My motherhung up a Christmas Calendar that was at the bottom of all the decorations. Ithas little cardboard windows for each day of the month, starting with December1st and ending on Christmas Day. Each day you open a window to see the picturebehind. We had hung it a little late so we got to open 4 today -whoop-dee-doo!!!
