Chapter May 4th, 1968

Kids will bekids. You don’t have to be friends with any to persuade them to come to yourbirthday party. I handed out ten invitations yesterday, and today, with theirparents’ approval, all ten have accepted.

I’m lookingvery forward to the party – NOT!!! (Now there’s an expression that is still tobecome popular).

Mother, onthe other hand is quite ecstatic. Whether it’s because she enjoys the idea ofentertaining a large group of rowdy kids, or because she wants to see her onlyson having fun with other children, I cannot say?
