Unlike a sickly, dying man, I’ll be healthy and rational right up to theend. I have therefore decided to go out with a bang instead of a whimper.

Global won’t be seeing much of Cornelius Crane in the little timeremaining to him.

I’m gonna make the best of it; I intend to party my arse off!

Of course, I’ll be doing it in as reserved and as careful a fashion aspossible.

It would be inconsiderate and selfish of me to leave behind a damaged ordiseased shell for my six-year-old mind to possess.

I would like him to at least enjoy the few fleeting years still remainingto it.

Although it will be a very small compensation for having most of his lifetraumatically and rudely ripped away, at least he will have the opportunity oftaking that wonderful journey into the future where I have never been or willever go.
