CHAPTER : 29

The next day, In the evening, Sai was ready in a beautiful red color net saree. her hair tied in a low bun and she wore simple diamond earrings. She was not  feeling to go to this function but she has this determination that she will end this engagement today only. She don't care about the threat that Vir has given her as she was not afraid. She remembers that her Abba has always told her to do what she wants to do and to don't be scared of someone's random threat. She is not afraid of him and she never was. She will end this engagement today. But little did she know that this night will brought some epic changes in everyone's life.

Samrat, Pakhi, Ashutosh and Virat were with for her to come out in their car as they were going together in the function.  They all reach the house and they all were in awe by the decoration. Every corner of the house was decorated in such a way as if there is someone's wedding going on. They all step inside the big hall. There were many people already present inside. Sai was pretty much familiar with the house so she guided them into the living room. Vir saw Sai and rest entering the hall and he walked towards them. He greeted all of them and hold Sai' hand. Virat saw them and their joined hands and felt jealous and like something precious was been taken away from him. Samrat and Pakhi both looked at Virat in pity but they also know that by agreeing to come to this party, he has bought himself a ticket on the train in which he will get hurt again and again seeing Sai and Vir getting close to each other.

Soon the party started and Sai and Vir was standing together greeting the guests as a couple. Everyone in the hall was giving their blessings to the soon to be couple. Virat stood in the corner of the hall and his eyes was fixed only on one face. He was seeing that she was not comfortable being there and standing besides Vir, he can sense that she wanted to go form there but still was unable to find out why did she was there in the first place of she was that uncomfortable with him.

Sai glanced at Virat occasionally. She was feeling that someone was constantly watching her from one corner of the hall and she was having a very strong feeling that it was Virat. She looked into his eyes and she can see how hurt he is seeing her with Vir , she can see the pain in his eyes. She felt really bad but she has to be there with Vir until she gets a chance to tell him that she was breaking this engagement and she knows that she has to do it soon as she can't see her love in pain.

Suddenly Vir grabbed her hands and drag her in the middle of the hall. Sai looked around and saw that the lights in the hall were much dimmer than before and everyone around them were slow dancing with their partners. She thought that she might have not noticed when the lights goes dimmer and everyone started dancing as she was busy in looking at Virat. She looked at Vir and asked why they were standing in the middle of the dance floor?

Vir smiled and hold both her hands and put it around his neck. He then slowly put both his hands around her waist and slowly pulled her closer. Sai looked down, not wanting to look into Vir's eyes. Vir moved more closer to her and wispers into her ears.

Vir: hum yaha dance karne aaye hai. Meri aanko mein dekho Sai.

Sai did not want to look into his eyes. She wanted to have this dance with Virat. Still she gathered some courage and looked into his eyes. Vir smiles brightly and said.

Vir: vaise red saree mein bahut hot lag rahi ho. Shaadi ke baad haar roj red hi pehna, yeh colour tumpe suit karta hai.

He turns her around and bend her down slowly. His hands around her waist and her on hand was wrapped around his neck and the other one was on his chest. He then pulled her up and got back into the same position as they were before.

Sai did not react to his words, instead she started looking around for Virat. At this moment, all she cares about was him and all she was concerned about was him. She looked at the spot where he was standing previously but he was not there anymore. She got worried and looked around the hall but he was still not there.

Virat has left the hall as soon as he saw sai was in Vir's arms falling down. He can't bear the pain of seeing his love with someone else. He made the excuse that he was not feeling well and got the keys from Samrat, booked a cab and got back home. He tried to stop his tears from falling but at last when he reached the door steps, he broke down completely. He wanted sai to be with him and not with anyone else. The memories of sai being close to Vir and her hands around his neck and his hands around her waist keep coming back to his mind. He throw his hands with such a force that a plant pot kept near him, fall and broke into pieces making a loud noise. He searched his pockets to grab the keys of the house. He bring the keys to the lock and tried to open the house door but was unable to as it was not the keys to Samrat's house, but it was the keys to Sai's house. He put his head on the door and closed his eyes, trying to think what to do now as he cannot go inside the house. He dialled Samrat's number.

Samrat: hello Virat, sab theek hai na? Tu theek hai na?

Concern was clearly audible in his voice. Samrat knows that Virat did not leave the place because he was feeling unwell but because he cannot see sai with any other man. That is the reason why he did not force him to stay.

Virat: samrat, tune mujhe Sai ke ghar ki chaabi dedi hai, ab mein kya karu tu bata? Ab mein ghar ke andar bhi nahi ja sakta.

Samrat: sorry mere bhai, vo kya hai na, sai ne mujhe apne ghar ki chabhi de di thi kyuki hum saath hi aane wale the na. Toh shaayad galti se meine tumhe uske ghar ki chabhi de di ho. Ek kaam kar na, tu Sai ke ghar chale ja, vaha pe aram kar lena. Hum log kuch deer mein aa hi jayenge. Waise bhi Ashutosh ke sone ka time ho raha hai. Tu bas waha thodi deer intezar kar le.

Before Virat could say anything the line went dead. He put his phone back into his pocket and went towards Sai's house.

Sai has searched all the corners of the hall and the house but Virat was no where to be found. She asked samrat and then she got to know that he has left the place as he was not feeling well when she was on the dance floor with Vir. But she knows that he was hurt seeing them together and left because he cannot see her with anyone else. She then decided that it was best to end her relationship with Vir now as she can't see Virat in any more pain. She excused her from there and searched for Vir. She saw that he was talking to some people who were probably very old to even talk back to him. She goes to Vir and held Vir's hand and walked upstairs until they reached at the terrace of the house and were in complete isolation from all the people and loud sound from down stairs. Sai left Vir's hand and looked into his eyes. Her own eyes started to fill with tears as she was about to break someone's heart because she was selfish to not to let go of Virat now that he has confessed his feeling to her. The sun was completely set and there was only the dim light of bulbs which were switched on at a distance.

Sai looked at Vir and started to think from where to start. She really want to get off from this relationship and wanted a life with Virat. She was once a selfless girl who can do anything for others happiness and for other satisfaction but today she was selfish enough to break someone's heart.
