CHAPTER : 23

Sai was not able to understand why Virat was saying all this? Why her engagement and her being with other person concerns him the most? She freed herself from his grip and step back to make some distance between them.

Sai: Kyu Mr. Virat? Aapko kyu meri chinta ho rahi hai? Aapko kyu mujhe kisi or ke saath dekh ke itna dukh ho raha hai?

Virat heard what sai said and was in disbelief.

He was getting frustrated because no matter how much he tries to convey his feeling to her, She just don't understand. He finally spoke the words he was hiding from her for so long. He was done hiding his feelings and now was ready to face her and tell her about how he feels.  He said in  one straight breath and in a loud voice so that she can hear him in a proper way.

Virat: because I love you dammit..

Sai was silent. She did not know how to react. She was dying to hear those words from him and he finally said those words to her. Her heart was flipping and beating fast in her chest. The tears roll down her eyes. But this time they were the tears of joy and satisfaction which she was getting from those words. Her heart became calm and the strom of anger and range which was in her heart come to its end. She stood still not knowing what to do or to say. Her eyes now show no more pain or anger but only love for him.

Virat ignored what was there in her eyes for him and continued to speak and let all his feeling out.

Virat: Mein tumse pyaar karta hu. Or pehle se karta tha. Mujhe pata hai ki humari shaadi ek deal thi par iss deal ko nibhate nibhate mujhe tumse sachi mein pyaar ho gaya Sai. Mein tumse kehna chahata tha ki mein tumse kitna pyaar karta hu par tumne har baar mujhe bas yeh yaad dilaya ki humari yeh shaadi ek deal hai. Meine socha tha ki jab tak tum apni yeh deal puri karogi tab tak mein tumhara man badal doonga. Meine socha tha ki tumhe mujhse pyaar ho jayega. Mein tumse apne pyaar ka izhaar karna chahata tha jab tumhari degree puri ho jati par aaisa nahi hua. Itne saal meine srif tumse pyaar kiya Sai. Meine yeh maan liya tha ki agar mein tumhare saath nahi reh sakta toh meri zindagi mein or koi nahi aayega. Mein aaj bhi tumse pyaar karta hu Sai or humesha karta rahunga.

Sai was over whelmed with Virat's confession. She always wanted to hear those words form Virat's mouth. She wanted to say that she loved him too. She has also fallen in love with him while being in that marriage. But before she could open her mouth to speak any thing Virat continued and what he spoke next just breaks her heart.

Virat: Mein tumse bahut pyaar karta hua Sai, or isseliye jab mujhe pata chala saari sachai ke baare mein or yeh ki tumne engagement kar li hai, mein mar chuka tha. In beete dino mein meine kai maut mari hai. Mein srif or srif tumhari kushi chahata hu or kuch nahi. Or agar tumhari kushi kisi or ke saath hai toh mein tumhe roku ga nahi. Mein tumse pyaar karta tah or karta rahunga. Mein bas itna chahata hu ki tum kush raho bhale hi chahe uske liye mein zindagi bhar akele rehne ko tayaar hu. Bas ek baat yaad rakhna ki mein tumse humesha pyaar karta rahunga. Or agar tumhe kabhi bhi, kahi bhi ,kisi ki bhi zarurat ho, tumhe apni zindagi mein, toh yeh Virat Chavan humesha tumhare saath rahega. Mere liya mere pyaar ki kushi se badh ke or kuch nahi hai.

Sai was feeling as if her soul has left her body together with her heart. She thought how can Virat decide what is best for her and them. She wanted to say that she loves him but now after his statement she was angry as he has already decided what they have to do in their future. But soon she realised  that all he was doing was caring about her happiness and her life. All he was doing is taking care of his love's happiness by destroying his own. The anger instantly  changed into love and respect for him as he was ready to stay alone and give up his life so that she can stay happy.

Virat was feeling as if he himself have poisoned his heart and soul. He knows that he can't stay away from Sai but he will not let her come near him for the sake for her happiness. He will stay alone for the rest of his life so that sai can live a happy life. The tears of pain rolling down his eyes have changed his eyes colour into bright red.

Virat: Sai mein tumhare or tumhare finacèe ke beech nahi aana chahata par bas ek request hai, please tum mujhe maaf kar do aur agar kuch or nahi toh kam se kam dost hi bana lo. Mujhe aacha lagega ki tum meri zindagi mein toh ho agar meri nahi ho saki toh kya hua.. please.

Sai heart completely stopped beating in her cheat. She was very happy to know that he love her but now the reality hits her that she is going to marry someone else. She can sense the ring on her finger and that ring is becoming so heavy on her finger that, it is dragging Sai down even if she wanted to be with Virat, she can't. She loved him but because of some of her decisions she couldn't be with him. She couldn't say anything. She turned around and started to walk away. She hold her tears back and controlled her emotions. There was so much going on in her heart and mind that she can't even think properly. She needed time to to think what she should do and what she shouldn't. She don't want to ruin her and Virat's life but she also don't want to ruin Vir's life by rejecting his proposal after accepting it.

Virat look at her, going away from him. He has already lost her once and he did not want to lost her one more time, but he knows that it was her choice to make. He knows that she will need sometime to forgive him and make him her friend. He knows that what he has confessed today is way hard for her to digest and think about them, when she should be thinking about her new life with her new to be husband.  His heart was feeling much lighter after expressing all his emotions. But still the pain of not being with sai for the rest of his life was like a huge and big rock on him, pushing him down and slowly killing him. He knows that one day this big stone will crush him underneath it and he will die without being with his love. His face was all teary, the eyes were red and the edges of his lips were down and he was looking at Sai moving far away from him. Suddenly Sai stops and and without turning towards him she said.

Sai: aapko ghar nahi jana hai? Raat bahut ho gai hai, Samrat dada or pakhi didi aapka wait kar rahe honge. Chaliya saath mein chalte hai.

A small smile formed on his lips and he ran to catch up with her. He wiped his tears and they both started walking towards their home. Both of them did not know what do they want from their life or what their future brings in their life but what they do know is they find peace and comfort in the moment they are in now. Sai don't want to think about Vir right now and Virat did not want to think that sai will not always be with him. They, at this moment do not care what future bring and just want to enjoy what they have now, at this moment. The wind was blowing, making Sai's hair fall back. The bright moonlight was falling on their faces and they were walking on the streets alone, with peace and comfort in their heart which they feel with each other.
