CHAPTER : 13

The next morning Virat woke up on his bed. He doesn't remembers how he got there because all he can remember was pain and regret he was feeling from last night after knowing the truth. There was still some questions in his mind and he wants to know the answer for these questions, he wanted to ask his questions from Omkar because he knows that Omkar was the closest to his father and he might be knowing for sure, why his father wants to ruin his life?

He got up from his bed and a strong pain in his head hits him as if someone has just thrown the rock at him. He was totally exhausted after all the crying and do not have enough energy left to even stand. The headache was only going worse and worse. He again sits down on his bed, holding his head in his arms and looking down. He thought that he deserves to be in more pain because of what he did. His head was bursting out and he was on the verge of crying. There was a knock on his door and he looked up, it was samrat standing on the door with worried expression. Virat wanted to hug his brother and wanted to tell him all the happenings and how his life got ruined by the hands of his own father. He wanted to cry in the arms of his brother to atleast get some comfort. But he was holding strong for his brother. He knew that today is a very important day for both Samrat and Pakhi and he did not want to ruin it by telling what Ninad has done. He did not want to make this day his by getting all the attention from everyone which should be of Samrat and Pakhi's.

Samrat walked towards Virat and sits besides him. He puts his hand on his shoulder and ask is everything fine with him? He was concerned about him.

Virat said that he was having a terrible headache and he could not even stand properly. Hearing this samrat goes to his room, grab some medicines which sai has given him as a frist aid, if anything happens and goes to give them to Virat. He asked Virat to take some rest and get ready and come down when he feels better and went to see the arrangements.

Sai was not able to sleep all night because she was worried about Virat. In the morning after getting ready and before going to the hospital she calls pakhi.

Sai: hello pakhi didi, kaise hai aap?

Pakhi: mein theek hu sai, par mujhe or samrat ko tumhari bahut yaad aa rahi hai.

Sai smiled seeing the care and love for her.

Sai: koi baat nahi didi, meine kaha tha na ki aap log jab wapas aayenge toh hum yaha pe bhi baby shower karenge. Phir aap mujhe miss nahi kar payenge.

Pakhi: ha sai, hum zarur phir se karenge. Aacha aaj tumhe hospital nahi jana kya?

Sai: nahi didi, mein toh bas ja hi rahi thi par..

Pakhi: par kya sai? Tumhe pata hai na ki tum mujhe kuch bhi pouch sakti ho ya mujhe kuch bhi bata sakti ho. Ab chalo batao kya baat hai?

Sai: didi, mein yeh janna chahati thi ki waha pe sab kaise hai? Mohit, karishma, aai, shivani bua, unke pati, devi tai or Pulkit jiju! Kaise hai sab?

Pakhi smiled knowing that she was missing all of them. She knows that sai wants to be here but she also knows that she will not come here because of Virat.

Pakhi: yaha pe sab theek hai sai, sab bahut kush hai par aaj bhi sab tumhe bahut yaad karte hai. Tumhe pata hai jab tumhara phone aaya na toh mein sabke saath hi baithi thi or sab tumhare baare mein hi soch rahe the. Sab tumhe baut yaad karte hai sai.

Sai eyes were filled with tears. She was over whelmed to know that she still has a loving and caring family even after knowing what she did to the son of their family. They all still cares about her. The tears which were formed in her eyes, started to fall down. There was smile on her face.

Sai: or Mr. Virat... Vo kaise hai?

Pakhi's smile widens after hearing Virat's name. She was satisfied and happy to know that sai still cares for Virat. Even if she pretend that she don't care about him but her this question itself shows how much she cares for him and how much she still loves him.

Pakhi: vo bhi aacha hai sai. Ha pehle jaisa nahi hai par theek hai. Tum abhi bhi yaad karti ho na use?

Sai cannot answer the question. She did not want to admit in front of pakhi that how much she missed him and how she was not able to sleep all night just because she was having the feeling that he is not alright. She was happy to know that he was alright but she can't confess to pakhi about how she feels.

Getting no answer from the other side of the phone, pakhi took the answer of her question as yes. She knows that sai still misses him.

Pakhi: koi baat nahi sai, javab nahi dena hai toh mat do mujhe bura nahi lagega. Aacha mein chalti hu, function shuru hone wala hai.

Sai: theek hai pakhi didi, apna or baki sab ka khayal rakhna.  Or mujhe phir dher saari photos keech ke bhejana.

Pakhi agreed and disconnected the phone. Sai felt relief to know that Virat was alright and now she can fully concentrate on her work.

After few hours and having a good sleep Virat got ready and comes down. The function starts and the whole family was smiling. All were happy and Virat finally feels that something good is happening with his family after so long. He was wearing a big fake smile on his face throughout the function knowing that he cannot take the happiness of other people of his family. He wanted to cry out loud but he can't. He wanted to spend some alone time to review what he did to have such trouble some father who ruined his life and how did he not trust his own love. He was crying with pain from inside but was having a big bright smile on his face.

He saw pakhi sitting with samrat, smiling and all the family members standing around them giving them wishes and their blessings. He remembers how he used to think to have a family with sai in future. He has imagined that when sai will get pregnant with their baby, he will not leave her even for a moment, but he cannot do that now. He cannot have a family with sai because of what he did.

He imagined himself sitting in place of samrat and sai being beside him sitting with her pregnent belly and all the family members are blessing them and their unborn child. He smiles at sai and promises her that he will always protect her and their child. Sai smiled at him and put her head on his shoulder.

Suddenly all the family members started laughing loudly and his dream broke, just like his heart into million pieces. He then notices that he was just dreaming and there was no sai, no child and no family. He was standing away from all of them alone. The tears started to fall again. He couldn't stop them. He ran inside his room and closed the gate with a thump. He was crying. He knows that he will now be living in his dream and will not have a real family with sai. He was the one responsible for what he situation he is in now. He cried non stop. He remembers the eyes of sai when she tried to convince him that she hasn't cheated on him. He remembers that there was something in her eyes which he couldn't read because of his father's words but now he knows that her eyes was having honesty, they were hoping that he would believe them and there was love in her eyes.

Virat: tum baar baar bolti rahi or mein tab bhi nahi mana. Mine jo kiya uske liye mujhe pata hai ki tum mujhe kabhi maaf nahi kar paogi. Mein ghunegar hu tumhara. Meine tumhe apne aap se dur kar diya. Meine apne sapno ka dum khud ghota hai. Ab mein agar tumse maafi mangna chahu toh nahi mang sakta, mein toh janta bhi nahi ki tum kaha ho? Kash mein apne baba ki baat nahi suni hoti. Kaash mein tumhari aankhein padh pata.

He was already feeling guilty and sad but a sudden thought hit his mind and suddenly he was afraid, hoping that this thought of his, may not be true. He was thinking, what if sai has moved on? What if she has married some other man or become a mother of someone's else's child?

This only thought of sai being someone's else's  and not him, made him sad, guilty, angry and frustrated. He was tired of imagining things and he want to find his sai. He hit the vase near him, making it scattered on the floor into million of pieces. He then drag all the things on the dressing table fall down on the floor making loud noises.

He was completely broken. The day when sai left him and  today was same but the only different was that the pain he is feeling today is much more than what he felt when sai left him. He was broken all again.

Sai was sitting in her cabin and was reading some reports of her patients. She started having some strange feelings again. She again started getting the feeling that he was not right but this time she tried to ignore her feelings knowing that he is all fine as pakhi will not lie to her.

But little does she knows that he is not well and only she can heal him, which she will do pretty soon.
