The mutated animals were chopped down each time they attacked. Garent and Graham were given tasty desserts each time.

“Hmm. These are really good. I think everyone will like it.”

“Isn’t it?”

“Yes, don’t eat too much. It’s rare we come across such good snacks.”

Graham smiled as he spoke. It seemed as if he had come across a delicious cuisine.

“Kieeeek!”

“Whoa. It’s a new one.”

Then they came across a different type of animal. It seemed like a mixture of a dog and a cat. It was about a meter long, but its aggression was much more than that. The large tunnel was filled with these monsters.

“All you can eat! YAY!”

“Let’s get’em!”

Graham and Garent moved forward and mutated animals attacked them. And of course, it was another a feast.

“There it comes again!”

“Ugh, this is getting tiring.”

Jinpok stopped eating his meal and Doral frowned while picking up shield and axe. It was already a week into the search and they did not have any findings. The place was just too large, and they were welcomed with all kinds of different mutated monsters. Joonbum kept on taking pictures of these monsters and now there were tons of them.

“This is convenient.”

“Isn’t it?”

Doral picked up a sharp thin sword. Jinpok liked to smash things with his big weapons while Doral liked using thin weapons to hit enemies’ weak points.

While they were attacking these monsters, Garent and Graham also busily moved through, grabbing and swallowing these monsters. Their mouths enlarged instantly when they were swallowing monsters bigger than the size of a fist.

*Burp*

Garent burped as he swallowed a meter-long monster. There were hundreds of these monsters that they had eaten.

“Can I eat it?” Garent asked as Joonbum took picture of another new monster and Garent swallowed it.

“This is getting tired. When are we going to…”

That’s when they felt a vibration. It was different than what they had felt before. Everyone stopped.

“Anyone touch something?” Jinpok asked and looked around. So did Doral.

‘What is it?’

That’s when they heard a different noise. The noise was not coming from an animal.

“Hmm… what is this?”

“What’s this sound?”

They all began to recognize the sound to be a some kind of language.

“It seems to be the language from the lost age.”

“Lost age?” Doral and Jinpok asked back in surprise.

“I don’t know all too much about it. Only the elders know a little bit about them. A few words were passed down.”

“What words?”Graham asked.

Doral replied, “God. Accident. Catastrophe… and such. It is told that God changed the world that had nothing in it, and shaped it to create a world where living beings could live. It is also said that the world was happy until the catastrophe happened. God then left and the world became chaotic… or something similar. It is an old story known to every tribe, but every tribe knows about it a bit differently.”

Joonbum and the others looked intrigued.

“Can you make out any of it?”

“It seems to be a warning.”

“Warning?”

“Then it must be a warning for the intruders.”

Everyone stopped. But nothing was happening.

“Let’s go.”

Everyone began to move in. Soon, they came down to a long corridor where a large metal door was blocking their way. Graham enlarged his hand and flung the door open.

“It’s clean inside.”

That’s when a flash of light blinded everyone while it brightened the inside beyond the door.
