âWe have apprehended 28 of smugglers in the Gramill Region. We also arrested all peacekeepers around the area who were connected to the smuggling. We are in the process of taking back all illegal profits these individuals took, sir.â
The young Ainos reported what he had found, and many officers listened to him from the table.
âItâs amazing. They are taking out all of our unsolved problems.â
âThe one in Gramill was especially hardâ¦â
âHow did they do that?â
One of the men became curious. It seemed like the Ainos Guard wasnât enough to solve all these problems. The Ainos people did have a keen sense of sensing lies, but this didnât seem to be enough.
âIt is ordered to keep it classified, sir.â
The men became even more curious. One of them asked, âClassified? Even against us? I thought even Chancellor Jackson nor your leader Dorun holds that power?â
Some others nodded. But Jackson who also sat among them seemed to know.
ââ¦â
âDid you say something, Agent Gallia?â
âWhat?â
âWhat did he sayâ¦â
âI said⦠thereâs one person, sir.â
Gallia spoke up.
âWh-whatâ¦â
âOhâ¦â
They then remembered who they were forgetting about.
âOur greatest and mightiest, Emperor Joonbum, ordered me to do so.â
All of those who heard became silent. They realized then there must be a reason and did not ask any further. Jackson seemed satisfied.
âDragons are amazing.â
The dragons were resolving the issues scattered around the land. It was also done while the dragons were traveling around the world for their leisure.
âTo join the smuggling ringâ¦â Jackson thought. Dragons truly did many things while they were wandering around. Someone was working as a peasant, while someone was disguised as a dwarf clown travelling around the world. Someone also joined the smuggling ring, pretending to be a criminal. But the result of that was as what they saw.
âWell, someone also works at a barâ¦â
Some of them also worked as prostitutes or musicians. The jobs varied greatly. Anyhow, all of them became very useful assets to the Empire.
Jackson yawned. All of these meetings didnât mean much to him anymore. He wasnât needed for most of the decisions anyway.
âIâve done enough. Maybe itâs time to step down,â Jackson thought. Just like Joonbum or Jinpok, he too was tired for the life-long work for the Empire. It was time to sit back and relax to enjoy the remaining life ahead.
