“Commander! It’s here!”

A large man shouted. He seemed to be cold as his breath was frosty.

“Is it cold?”

“N-no, sir.”

Hoberman insisted on his answer and Jinpok looked at him with a teasing smirk.

“I see… hey boys! Let’s leave Hoberman here and go have a drink!”

The soldiers began to laugh and tease Hoberman. They were all heavily armed, but they didn’t seem tense or worried.

“The 9s are gathered and partying with their drugs and alcohol.”

“Yeah. Let’s go!”

Jinpok charged in after saying that.

“Run!”

The two men who were standing guard at the door were shocked. They didn’t know who it was exactly, but the large-bodied men looked to be hostile. And something was thrown at them, destroying the steel door behind them.

“AAArgh!”

The two men dropped to the ground.

The men who were following Jinpok grimaced. They were the strongest soldiers in the army, but Commander Jinpok was beyond even their power.

“Look at his axe turn into a hammer.”

Jinpok glared at his men.

“You boys fight with your mouths now? I even already opened the way for you. Go!”

“Yes, Commander!”

The soldiers then charged in.

“Ambush!”

“Where are they coming fro… ARGH!”

Enemies were hunted down as the large-bodied soldiers broke into the building. There was no mercy given to them. Although they were killed, all of them were being pummeled first. That’s when a gunshot rang out.

“Gun!”

The soldiers all stopped advancing as a black man from The 9s came out with a furious expression.

“You dare attack our… Huh?”

The man saw a glimpse of Jinpok, and that was it. His entire head was chopped off by the axe thrown at him. And the four men that came through the door at that time were thrown back together. The axe cut through them, pinning them to the wall and killing them instantly. Jinpok then turned to the soldier who was hit by the gunshot.

“Donovan. How’s your shoulder?”

“It’s fine, Commander. The bullet didn’t go through the armor.”

“Don’t capture those that resist. Kill them all.”

“Yes, Commander.”

The air turned cold and enemies began to realize the situation now.

“Wait.. t-they are…”

“C-commander Jinpok? Why are they…”

“I-I surrender! UGH!”

There was no mercy, even for those who surrendered. They were all pummeled with iron-like fists.

“Take them all out!”

That was just the beginning. Jinpok’s force then mounted their large Gerekstals and moved to the next destination. They soon arrived at a mansion that was occupied by Brite Hurill from the Dentrion Kingdom. It was a powerful family within the Dentrion Kingdom, which sent Brite together with their family merchants.

“There it is. But I don’t understand. The Hurill Merchant Group is already rich. Why would they do such a thing?”

“I know.”

“They are probably the second richest merchant group.”

Jinpok frowned.

‘Human greed never ends.’

“Arrest them all. Kill them if they resist.”

“Yes, Commander!”

The soldiers then charged into the mansion. Soon, ten armored soldiers rushed out to defend.

“We are from the Khalodian Empire! Surrender now and you will be spared. I warn you, if you resist, you will be killed.”

The soldiers immediately dropped their spears and backed away.

“W-what?! T-this is the Duke Hurill’s… UGH!”

“Aargh!’

The gate was opened and some servants of the Hurill family tried to resist but were beaten down. Soon, all members of the Duke’s family were dragged out. There had been some minor resistance, but they were all pulled out with bruised faces.

“They were partying with drugs, sir.”

All of the nobles rounded up were high from drugs. Even after being beaten, they weren’t in their right minds and even those women who were half-naked were either cursing or trying to flirt with soldiers.

A soldier dragged a man over by his hair. Jinpok frowned. He had seen the man a few times during past gatherings.

“Hehe… what is it? You want to join too? Good! I’m generous today. What should we do? Oh, and take your clothes off and enjoy!”

Jinpok’s soldiers frowned. Brite Hurill was also not in the right state of mind from drug use.

“There were all kinds of drugs, Commander.”

“We found drug storage areas. There are a lot stored.”

“I think they wanted to try and bring them back to Khalodian when the Gate reopened.”

A soldier brought up a list of secret storage areas that were filled with drugs. Then, they found a secret stash.

“We found gold bars! There are a lot of them!”

Finding gold bars was the most shocking fact. The large underground stash was more than half-filled with gold bars.

‘Was the rumor true?’

There were rumors that a certain merchant had found a place with large amounts of gold bars. But such rumors were aplenty and nobody cared much about them without any proof.

“It’s from an old American bank, sir.”

Jinpok scoffed. It seemed that the Hurill Merchant Group was the one who had found the gold bars.

‘Idiots. They should’ve just kept quiet and focused on sending these gold bars back.’

“Commander… look.”

Some soldiers then brought over a large box. It was full of jewelry and gems.

“I’ll go report to the Emperor. You boys go ahead and grab something to drink. We all did a good job today.”
