FIRST DAY AT UCONN
i just got here, i have 4 days before the first ACTUAL day i'm just setting in fully, i haven't talked to paige since she dm me on instagram, i mean it's cool i expected it and i have t seen her, i'm sooo happy i got my own dorm i didn't feel like sharing i really just need.... me time
i walk out of my dorm to go out and get some food, as soon as i walk out of the building into the parking lot i hear my name
"REIGN?"
i turn my head, paige? paige bueckers is calling my name?
"yes?" i say, she runs up to me
"YOUR HERE?"
"mhm.."
"damn why are you so... dry"
"i don't know.. i'm sorry"
"why'd you leave me on seen..? and never text me back"
"i kinda just like.. assumed you didn't wanna talk to me..? idk"
"who is this girl?" someone says, i turn my head ans see a short light skin girl with curly hair, she gave me a look
"oh .. this is just reign babe.. she's best friends with jada and i was just making sure she was straight yk? all set up"
wowww.. my heart dropped to my ass.. 'babe' she has a gf? glad i didn't text her back.
"yeah.. i was just going to get food so imma keep doin what i'm doing" i look paige up and down and walk away
"wait rei-"
i just kept walking i didn't know what to do or how to feel
fast forward to when she's back in her dorm with her food
as soon as i got back i called jada
"hey best, you seen yo gf yet"
"mmm not my gf and she has a gf"
"WHAAATT?!"
"yeah ian ask for her name tho i didn't know what to do i just walked away, i was in shock.. BUT ANYWAY how's ur life going"
"i'm chillin ykk i miss you"
"boo grow up you'll see me soo-"
someone knocks on my door
"ermmm hold on i'll call you back someone is here.."
"alr be safe.. love you"
i hang up , get up and open the door. and ofc it's paige
"hey reign" she says in a shy voice
"mmm hi, so shy for what.. and how'd you find my dorm"
"don't worry about it" she says walking in and closing the door behind her
"woah i never said you can come in" i say walking to my bed
"well i'm already here sooo"
"right may i help you?"
"i'm sorry, i should've told you i have a gf.. well i don't we're talking" she says sitting next to me
"paige i don't care, that's all you and her maybe you should tell her there's nothing going on between us"
"but i want there to be something" she says looking up from her hands to look at me
"no"
"what do you mean no?"
"paige i'm not getting into your drama, if you wanted me you wouldn't have been talking to her in the first place and would've texted me when i never texted back, your this big basketball star and i'm a nobody ofc i wasn't gonna text you ??"
"reign please."
"no, you don't even know me, all you know is i'm friends with jada-" she cuts me off
"no, i know a lot about you. i talk to jada a lot more then you think. she told me you wouldn't be interested in me anyways so i never tried, then i saw you were coming to uconn soo... here i am"
"friends?" i say
"what?"
"i said friends , you don't want me paige i promise you, you don't"
she looks at me with a shocked and sad face not knowing what to do, so she gets up and walks out my dorm room, but as soon as she opens it .. who's there? her girlfriend.
"bro paige. tf are you doing here."
the girl says with a tone in her voice
"i was just in the area an-"
paige tried to explain herself but the girl cut her off
"NO YOU WERENT JUST IN THE AREA CUS YK DAMN WELL ATHLETE DORMS ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF CAMPUS, tuh fuck outta my face" she slightly yelled but not to loud
i butt in. "hey.. sorry we never really met i'm reign.. and you are...?"
"starr." she said looking at paige
"okay cool yeah so starr, i promise she was just stopping by and she is now just leaving ... so y'all can do that together!" i say nicely but meaning it in the rudest way possible
they walk out the door a jada text me
