"good morning mrs." he said planting a soft kiss on my forehead and i smiled hiding my face in the crook of his neck

"good morning husband" i mumbled and tightened my hold around him when he hissed in pain

"did he hit you?" i asked frowning looking at his face for any injury

"no he didn't but your best friend did accidentally " he replied looking at me with a sour expression and i chuckled

"you mean your brother" i said giggling

"you think it's funny? that dumbhead can't even punch in the right face" he grumbled rolling his eyes dramatically

"it's funny i can't deny that" i said laughing and then looked at him his lips curved up in a calm smile

"you are smiling" i say with a sly grin a teasing glint in my eyes

"only with my wife" he said his smile widening as he bopped my nose playfully and he wrapped his arm around my shoulder taking me in his embrace

we heard a knock making us startle

"mihi are you up?" i heard mumma's voice

"yes" i say opening the door with a soft smile

"how are you feeling?" she asked caressing my head as we walked inside

"better" i muttered keeping my head in her lap while ved went in to freshen up giving us some privacy

"mumma what do you do if you are having several doubts about something or someone?" i asked looking at her

"you communicate mihi..and you listen without any prior judgement and then take a decision with a calm mind" she answered softly

"mumma..did something happen on the day of my wedding that I don't know about?" i asked my tone a little serious

"you know everything you need to know beta" she said giving me a forehead kiss

"don't stress yourself okay? you aren't mentally well also i have made your favourite dosa" she said cheering me up

and my face lit up

"saara pyaar akele akele mujhe bhul gye?" krishiv said walking in with a slight dramatic pout

"chalo hato aap pehle meri baari" prisha said coming from behind pushing him slightly away and resting her head on mumma's shoulder earning a giggle from both me and mumma while krishiv scowled

mumma caressed our head with utmost love

"mere bacche ko tang mat karo dono" she said holding krishiv hand lovingly as he sat down on his knees

"and what about us when he teases us?" i asked looking at her squinting my eyes

"for that i am here biwi " vedant said emerging from the bathroom and holding krishiv's ear making him wince

"bhai lag ri hai yaar" he said trying to get free from his grip and we all laughed

"chalo come downstairs for breakfast" she said leaving us as she went to the dinning area

"tum dono jane ka kya loge?" vedant asked sitting beside me

"brother-in-law let me tell you she's mine first" prisha said hugging me from the other side making me chuckle and he raised an eyebrow

"i'll see you" he whispered so that only i can hear

"toh dekhlein aapke samne he hun" i said in a hushed tone my cheeks turning slightly pink

"kya kusur pusur kar rhe ho dono" krishiv said making us startle

"mand buddhi" i say hitting his head before disappearing into the bathroom to get ready

AUTHOR'S POV

"saransh has said something to her she was asking badi maa" prisha whispered

"i told you that we should tell her but you both don't listen" vedant said his cold demeanor taking over

"but we didn't have that much time and of course our father's know about this na" krishiv said in a matter of fact tone

"i am scared of di's reaction when she gets to know the truth" prisha whispered her face sullen

"what was my fault in this i got to know everything after marrying her and on top of that i didn't even get a chance to talk to her or else i would have told her everything" vedant said

"then she wouldn't have married you, idiot" ritvik said making all of them startled their shriek stopped mid throat

"gadhe ho kya aap bata ke nahi aa skte the?" krishiv said hitting his shoulder

"meko idiot bol rha tha?" vedant asked shooting him a glare

"aree vo tongue of slip hogya" ritvik said laughing nervously and prisha raised an eyebrow

"slip of tongue you mean?" mihika asked coming out of the bathroom and they all shrieked making her startled

"pagal ho gye ho sab?" mihika asked looking at their faces

"haan..nahi nahi toh" ritvik said nervously chuckling

"but i've missed you" ritvik said taking her in a brotherly hug and she smiled

"where's ruhi, ishani and ru baby?" she asked excitedly

"they are downstairs" he said smiling

"i am going to meet them" she said before she went downstairs happily

and all took a breath of relief

"you guys will be the death of me one day" vedant muttered shaking his head

"let's go downstairs dosa khayenge" prisha said ignoring vedant's cold glare at them and vedant hit his forehead with a fist sighing

....

"abheer what have you done!" vedant said clenching his jaw in anger

"i don't know how it happened but someone took him away i found my men injured this morning" abheer replied from the other side of the phone

"who has taken him away?" vedant asked coldly

"i.. don't know" abheer stuttered slightly

"i need the name ASAP!" vedant ordered before hanging up the phone

he was roaming whistling in the huge mansion,he calls his personal hell the one he created to punish himself

when something caught his eye a man sitting on the couch in the grand hall his aura demanding respect and a sense of dominance gracing his physique

he took slow step towards him still whistling a melodic tune

"long time" the seated man said upon seeing him

"mr. rajat mehra i see.. why are you here old man? to save your little son?" the grey eyed man said coldly

"he's not even here what are you saying" the man in his 50s said

"caught you, mr. mehra" he said his lips holding a smirk and his face as cold as ice his gaze holding tremendous intensity

"no-that's not what i-" rajat stuttered his  eyebrows frowning

"shh... he's getting treated after that humiliating tactic he played" the man with piercing grey orbs said as he stared in his eyes his voice lacing nonchalance

"he just loves-" rajat was cut off as the man came dangerously close his hand in a tight fist as he raised it in air but stopped midway

"she isn't his,never was at the first place"  the man whispered dangerously that a shiver ran down through the spines of even the guards present there

as the vase fell down with a thud as he knocked it off the table his hand now painted red with his own blood

"i-know i know" rajat spoke his body shivering his voice a mere whisper

the man released a heavy breath

"leave" the grey eyed said turning his back to rajat

"but sara-"

"he'll be in your home tomorrow at sharp 8 P.M" the man said cutting him as he ended the conversation

"and-you?" rajat asked his voice strained

he just smirked shaking his head lightly and walked upstairs disappearing in a corridor making rajat's futile attempt go in vain

VEDANT

Abheer is my best friend the only one he's into stuff and right now he's messing with my mind and i am not liking it even a bit

"ved where are we going?" she asked as she sat inside the car after bidding bye to her family

"to our home" i answered buckling her seatbelt and kissed her forehead to which she smiled

"which one?" she asked curiously a slight pout gracing her lips

"the one which you own pyaari biwi" i answered resisting the urge to pull her cheeks

"but ruhi wanted to us to come back" she said resting her head back on the seat comfortably as i started the engine

"we'll go soon i want to spend some time alone with you,away from those monkeys" i replied as i looked at her with a teasing glint and smirk on my face

"focus on driving for now patidev " she said tilting my face with her fingers towards the road making me chuckle

"you are shy too i see" i teased her

"and you are being shameless" she said hitting my arm playfully

"i didn't even said anything" i said giving her a innocent smile

"aap toh bhole bhandari hai na" she said side eyeing me and then we both burst out laughing

and i couldn't help but admire her i can't imagine something happening to her there's this constant fear of losing her and I can't help but feel restless

i can't survive without her now that she has become a habit a deep one

i got out of the car and opened the door for her gesturing for her to come out and she held my hand as she stood out of the car

"i will come back before dinner you have some rest okay?" i say as i cupped her face and kissed her forehead before fixing her hairs

"come soon ved i'll be waiting" she said hugging me tightly and i smiled as a sigh left my mouth

i snaked my hand around her nape pulling her closer hiding her in my embrace i caressed her hair before kissing the top of her head

"i promise no one will be here you are safe in your home jaan " i said as i sensed her discomfort or maybe fear

"but you're my home" she said holding me tighter making my movements stop at a hault and my heart skipped a beat

she doesn't know what effect she has on me

"you'll never leave me right?" she asked keeping her chin on my chest as she looked up

"not until i stop breathing and i must tell you'll have to bear me after i am dead too, i'll haunt your dreams" i said and she smiled lightly and sniffled to stop herself from crying

she cries too much nowadays and i hate that my little girl is supposed to be happy not gloomy she deserves all the happiness and i promise to give her that

"if we die, we die together" she muttered  the corner of her eyes glistening indicating that she might cry anytime

"and then we'll haunt your bestfriend together" i said making her chuckle

"i'll never let anything happen to you until i am alive" i said kissing her forehead and wiping her tears off

"are you still having cramps jaan?" i asked softly as i have observed mood swings throughout

" a little but they are bearable" she said sniffling

"there's your favourite ice creams and chocolates stocked up inside the fridge have them okay? i'll leave now" i said caressing her head

"haan to jao maine kaha roka hai?" she said her face rested closed to my chest

and i smiled

"aap ese pakad ke rakhengi toh office to kya mai ghar se bahar nahi jaun" i said nestling my face in the crook of her neck and i felt her stiffen under my touch and i smirked

i kissed her neck her cold skin coming in contact with my warm breath as she fisted my shirt before she pulled apart from the hug

"we are outside anyone can come here" she said although her face was flushed her eyes now holding a intensity

"weren't we outside when you were hugging the air out of me? although i loved it" i said my lips curling up in a full blown smile and she blushed

"i am going inside you stay here if you want" she said her face in a scowl as she turned her back to me and moved inside our home and i couldn't help but shake my head at her cute antics

"miss me wifey " i said before i sat inside my car

"i'll husband" she said her voice audibly low because of the distance but enough to make me smile

.......

"did you track his location anant?" i asked as i sat on my chair in my office

"yes we have a lead" anant said forwarding the laptop

"he has been on a flight probably to germany" he continued as he traced the mouse to point a specific location

"but wasn't he supposed to be at his father's?" abheer said getting up in frustration

"that is your work to find out" i said looking at him coldly

"don't stare at me like that i am trying to do my best i also have a business to handle" abheer said trying to convince me

"i swear if he gets to my wife again" i muttered fisting my hand

"don't worry the security has been increased, systems are on high alert of both of your mansions" anant said showing the photage of both my mansions and then i spot my wife sleeping peacefully curled up in her favourite blanket and i couldn't help but smile

"don't stare at my wife she's sleeping" i said turning the laptop away from their gaze

"it's not like she will get up if i will stare", abheer retorted dramatically acting hurt

"she's adorable you know you didn't even introduce me to her" abheer said making a sad face

"who are you to her anyway?" i asked raising an eyebrow

"i was almost her favourite senior-"

"almost okay? now get back to work remember you have a business to handle too" i said smiling although it was fake

"rude" abheer said giving me a side eye which i ignored peacefully

"what about that person? were you able to meet him?" abheer asked typing something in his phone

"i was close this time very close" i said leaning back in the seat

'he loves you he will take care of you you are a good boy right?' the words lingered in my brain as a distant voice and i closed my eyes

"but he's not safe not until he's dead" i say opening my eyes as i stared at the new article i was reading and smirked

"are you sure this thing isn't stressing you out?" abheer asked concerned filled in his voice

"i can take this much afterall" i say chuckling

"did you tell mihik-"

"no" i said sternly I don't want to stress her out she doesn't need to know

"i mean i'll tell her once everything's sorted" i said to cover my denial and he nodded in defeat

"just woke up and having my chai" i received a text from her along with her picture

"is this your new trick to make me miss you jaan?" i text back smiling at her picture

"maybe..so come home soon you miss me right?" she texted along with two red hearts

two red hearts i giggled internally

"yes, ofcourse i miss my wife i'll be back soon" i texted back with three read hearts before turning my phone off and i looked up only to see abheer standing by my side grinning

"batameez" i said my face turning back to it's normal self

the smiling one is only for her cause she  says she likes my smile
