123 - Exploring Sacrifices (F)

There's a cave in Belize where you can see the remains of ancient Maya human sacrifices –but you have to swim in, wade up a cave river and crawl through the dark, cramped, uneven rocks to reach the back of the cave system.

There, you can walk among many corpses of sacrifice victims, including The Crystal Maiden, an 18 year old whose skeleton is so calcified, it sparkles.
