The shadow of a sign in Dartmouth, Devan closely resembles a figure being hanged with their hands tied behind their back.

Perhaps it is no coincidence that the illusion can be seen near a spot called Dead Man's Cross, where criminals were hanged from a gallows in the 13the century.
