"What!?!!??!!?!?" Radna shouts as his arms and legs were suddenly bound with the same razor thin wires that had taken down so many of his troops. "Do you think that these will hold me!?!?"

He flexed his arms, drawing blood as they tightened around his joints; but the wires did not break.

"HOW!!" Radna's face started to contort into his true appearance- not the rugged handsome face that he had worn for his vanity; but scales in an awful shade of mustard brown as his hair fell out, leaving open wounds and shining scabs. Coarse black hair grew out on his legs and up his back in patches as his hands twisted and popped with long yellow nails sprouted from his finger tips.

"It's amazing what a little bit of science and magic can do." I gestured towards the men who stepped out from under the tree line, each pair holding onto a wire. "It was well worth the effort in making it."

"You d*mn Witch!!!" Radna cursed at me, straining himself as he started towards me, his eyes glowing red in anger.

I stood my ground as he tried fighting back but was secretly glad that the wires held. The soldiers behind him dug in their heels as they leaned back to keep Radna in place as I started to carve out symbols in midair with my wand, each one slowly darkening from white to black until they surrounded Radna.

He raised and spread out his wings, but the circle of symbols only expanded out to include them. Undeterred, Radna started to beat his wings which lifted him a few feet off the ground although he was wobbling a bit because his injured wing seemed to be able to flap as hard.

But it was enough to where the soldiers had to change their positions and I took a step back since it seemed like Radna was going to take to the sky- but it was a trick.

He suddenly stopped flapping his wings and dropped like a rock, causing the wires to loosen up just enough for him to lunge towards me once again and grab my arm.

"I'M GOING TO-...AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Radna starts to snarl with victory when all of a sudden, his arm was no longer attached to him.

I winced at the sight and started to reach for the arm that a tight grip on me when a familiar hand beat me to it and peeled off each of the fingers, revealing puncture marks on my arm from Radna's long fingernails.

"Tch!" An uncharacteristic sound came from the owner of that hand as he stood in front of me and B*tch slapped Radna with his own arm before destroying into dust.

"YOU SON OF B-!!!!!!!" Radna growled at Alaric until he punched him in the throat, cutting off his next words.

"I don't recall ever giving you permission to touch my Tia." Alaric says coldly as he started down at the King of Demons. "Shouldn't you expect to loose something after doing so?"

My heart fluttered a little as I stared at Alaric's back, feeling the urge to hug him from behind but I gave myself a mental slap instead: this wasn't the time for that, I needed to finish what I started.

The tip of my wand glowed as vines grew from the floating symbols and launched themselves around Radna, weaving around his limbs and binding him tightly. He opened his mouth but was only able to make grunts due to how hard Alaric had hit him.

I was planning on using a modified version of the Purification spell that I had used a few years ago when the group of demons had come and attacked my home- but to do so, I needed Radna's true name.

Luckily I knew his name but for some reason I felt uneasy... It was almost too easy: capturing Radna and binding him.

I lightly shook my head as I looked up at the hate filled eyes of the Demon King and steeled myself with the next few words as I reached the end of the spell, pointing the tip towards him as the symbols shined.

"Demon King Radna Jogas Zazzul Vesia."

Radna froze as I said his name, staring wide-eyed in shock. I could feel Alaric with a similar stare directed towards me as well but I had to focus on keeping ahold of my wand as it started to vibrate violently in my hand.

The symbols shook and started to spin around Radna, resembling a cage. The soldiers fall at the wires sudden snap and instinctively, I cover my eyes at the bright light that covered the entire area.

I could feel the ground shake as the vibrations became faster and I noticed my feet leaving the ground seconds before a loud screech attempted to burst my eardrums.

The light retracts, concentrating on one single point on Radna before floating right across his heart and entered him; causing him to groan in pain as the light caused swirling tattoo's to spread across his skin.

Each of the tattoo's glowed brightly, once again filling area with intense light. My wand suddenly explodes sending slivers of wood into my hand as the gem also burst encasing me inside itself.

The light slowly fades as the soldiers and Alaric uncovered their eyes. There was no sign of Demon King Radna- his purification was successful.

Cheers and hollers could be heard from the main battlefield as the creatures disappeared into dust since their master was no more.

"We succeeded! Tia, we did-....." Alaric started to smile in relief until he completely turned around.  "Tia!"

Alaric quickly ran over to the floating crystal which contained his Witch, carefully touching it. The crystal responded by lowering itself down but did not release it's master.

"Tia?" Alaric placed his hand on the cool crystal, looking at the closed eyes of his soulmate. "Tia. Can you hear me?" He knocked on the crystal, each time getting louder and louder; not noticing that Kimbra and the others had joined him.

His actions became more panicked when Celestia did not respond and he reaches to pull out his sword, intending to cut her out.

"Alaric wait!!!!" Kimbra and Barrett quickly race over to stop him, holding him back as Suli and Quinn quickly came over to examine the crystal. "We don't know what will happen if you try to force it open!"

Their words fell on deaf ears as Alaric shrugged them off and raised his sword, bringing it down on the crystal.

'Crrrracckkk......'

The blade hits the crystal, unable to make even the smallest of scratches before it cracked then shattered; leaving Alaric hold onto the hilt of the now useless sword.

Undeterred, Alaric used his aura to strike the crystal with no results. He raised his hand, intending on continuing to attack the crystal until Blair stepped up in front of him and slapped Alaric across the face.

Surprise flicked across Alaric's face as he finally came back to his senses and slowly lowered his hand.

"Thank you Blair." Alaric sighed after a few moments, reaching up to rub his red cheek. "I needed that."

"No problem." She blushed a little before looking at the crystal with concern.

Everyone relaxed a little from the interaction, looking at Suli with expectations.

Suli had placed his hand on the crystal and closed his eyes while Alaric had been freaking out; searching for any sigh of consciousness.

"I'm sorry." He finally pulled away and looked towards Alaric. "I can not feel anything.... Our link has been cut."

Everyone tensed at the frightening look on Alaric's face until he released a deep sigh then paused.

"Quinn." He turn towards her. "Go get Master Ilin."

Quinn nods, activating the white stone which was the key to the Land of Witches.

Minutes pass when the white circle reappears, containing two people.

"Master Ilin." Alaric greets with a light nod as he quickly approached the crystal.

"How did this happen?" Master Ilin's hair started to move unnaturally against the wind as he studied the crystal.

Alaric explained in short sentences of what he had seen and what the plan had been to purify Radna as Master Ilin carefully touched the crystal.

Everyone stood in silence as they watched Celestia's master work over the crystal, each silently praying that he would be able to help her.

"I'm sorry." Master Ilin stood up with a defeated sigh. "Her body is here, but her soul... It's gone. It's like it never existed in the first place...."

"No... NO!" Alaric's body started to tremble as he hid his face in his hands, power and aura causing the area around him to be unstable. "She can't be gone!"

"Alaric!!" His friends voices called out to him with no luck as the forgotten crystal started to glow faintly.
