Chapter 1588 - I Am Merely Following The Arrangements.

Melinda held back Gu Mengmeng’s hands. With a sincere and gentle smile, she said, “Did the Great Messenger forget? Bridges is your subsidiary tribe. Yours words are like the deity’s decree and we can never decline.”

Gu Mengmeng shook her head and said, “I am not giving orders with the identity as the Messenger of the Beast Deity. I am requesting your help as your friend.”

Melinda did not understand the difference between these two identities. Gu Mengmeng was just Gu Mengmeng, she was both the Messenger of the Beast Deity and her friend. Regardless of which identity she used, she would still be Gu Mengmeng. So long as it was something Gu Mengmeng said, Melinda would not reject.

But she did not argue and only smiled and nodded. “Alright, as your friend, I shall agree to your request.”

With the matters finally settled, Gu Mengmeng could finally relax.

On the first night, Gu Mengmeng lived by the sea, whereas Melinda and Carter led the mermaid tribe back to the deep sea. The mermaids took turns blowing bubbles and as the bubbles gathered together, they formed a bigger bubble. With countless mermaids working hard all night, they finally finished their work the second morning and a huge bubble had covered the corals. With the bubbles filled with oxygen, Gu Mengmeng and the rest could then freely move around in the ocean.

After all these preparations, Melinda returned to the shore and invited Gu Mengmeng underwater.

Melinda was passionate about her invitation. Gu Mengmeng thought, since she was touring the places she had been to, it would be regretful if she had not entered the first stop where she had found the seven treasures. Since there was now a solution, she was naturally willing to visit the place.

Elvis and Lea had not been underwater before. The last time Gu Mengmeng was here, little shit had been accompanying her while the two of them waited on land. This was a rare chance and they naturally would accompany her.

Melinda, Carter and Fei Rui each blew a bubble that was as big as the astronaut’s helmet and placed them over Gu Mengmeng and her family members’ heads.

Auretin, without anyone caring for him, seemed pitiful, but without the oxygen helmet, he could not go underwater. But since it was a trip for the family to revisit the places they had gone to, it was also normal for them to not bring him along. So he sat on land without any expressions and quietly watched as Gu Mengmeng forgot him in her excitement.

Anyway, it was not the first time and Auretin should have already been used to this lifestyle.

“Aren’t you going down?” Fei Rui’s big eyes were beaming with clear light as he looked at Auretin fearfully and asked.

Auretin looked towards Gu Mengmeng and saw that she had turned around after Fei Rui spoke. When both their eyes met, Gu Mengmeng smiled with her eyes grinning, and said, “Why aren’t you going? The underwater world is beautiful, let’s go together~” Auretin nodded expressionlessly and responded with a forced “alright”.

Fei Rui immediately blew another huge bubble to cover Auretin’s head, then pushed him to Gu Mengmeng’s side. As he pushed, he said, “Everything about this is great, except that you are too difficult. If you want to go, just say it. If you don’t say, who would know that you want to go?”

Auretin, with his stony face, twirled at the side and replied coldly, “I am not thinking of going or not. She is the family head, and I am a guardian beast, I am merely following the arrangements.”

“Liar.” Fei Rui’s little nose had almost risen so high that it touched the sky. He was no longer the little mermaid who would feel his stomach grinding once he saw Auretin. After interacting with him all these years, he had already become used to Auretin’s zombie-like face and he was very clear that even though Auretin seemed fierce, he was the most righteous one. He had declared to not let anyone bully him and he had really done so.
