Chapter 1405 - How Dare You, I Will Never Forgive You!

“Heavens, where did you get the guts to do that?” Sandy jumped up in astonishment, completely forgetting her issue with Arnold. Her eyes turned red and teary as she glared accusingly at Gu Mengmeng. “What will I do if anything happens to you? I have 11 partners and three sons, but only one friend. Do you know how important you are to me? You just jumped without thinking... Gu Mengmeng... sob sob sob... how dare you, I will never forgive you!”

Sandy had not cried for a long time.

Since that day whereby she lost five partners when Oakley planned the stray beast attack on Sauder and ambushed Cole—Sandy had not cried again.

She had strove to mature rapidly and shoulder the maternal responsibilities that Gu Mengmeng should have borne—taking good care of Hede and Jialue. If not for the fact that Sandy didn’t use to have any wolf partners, everyone would have thought Hede and Jialue were her sons.

And this new, tough version of Sandy still got all teary-eyed when she heard about Gu Mengmeng rashly jumping off the cliff.

Gu Mengmeng knew Sandy would definitely be mad at her if she told her about that incident. Apart from Elvis and Lea, only Sandy would dare to scold her over this.

Gu Mengmeng knew that she was in the wrong, plus she had always been helpless when faced with Sandy’s tears—hence, she could only lower her eyes and coax Sandy. “Alright, Sandy. Stop crying... your tears make my heart quiver. I was wrong, I was truly in the wrong. I will never dare to do that again. Anyway, aren’t I standing safe and sound right in front of you? I didn’t even lose a single strand of hair. Really.”

Sandy wiped her tears as she pulled at Gu Mengmeng’s arm and scrutinized her all over. She looked like she was really trying to count the number of hairs on Gu Mengmeng’s head to ensure not a single strand had gone missing. After satisfying herself that Gu Mengmeng was really fine, Sandy heaved a sigh of relief. Nevertheless, there remained a lingering fear in her heart, and her tears flowed for quite a while before finally stopping.

Lea and Elvis lowered their heads with quiet smiles as they watched Gu Mengmeng behaving so timidly before Sandy.

They were both also very upset over the Motou mountain incident, but they couldn’t bear to be overly harsh on Gu Mengmeng. Therefore, the two of them felt rather pleased that they had this little spitfire Sandy to teach Gu Mengmeng a lesson.

However, Sandy’s partners were in a frenzy, especially her seven new wolf partners. This was the first time they were seeing Sandy cry and frantically wished to go forth and comfort her. But their Queen was sitting in their way and they were unable to cut in. Moreover, their Wolf King had a “I will kill whoever dares come forward” expression. They were completely helpless.

Bode patted Hodgson on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, at such times... she knows better than us how to handle this.”

Hodgson smiled awkwardly as he recalled the very first day after he mated with Sandy. All the new partners had stood in a line and thanked the Queen for not being a male...

“Gu Mengmeng, tell me, will you still dare to act recklessly in future?” Sandy’s nose was all red as she continued sobbing in between words.

Gu Mengmeng hastily shook her head. She held Sandy’s plump little hands in her own. “I don’t dare, I won’t ever dare again. I am afraid your flood of tears will drown me!”

“Let me tell you. If anything happens to you... I...I won’t live on either. And I won’t let you off even when I become a ghost!” Sandy threatened fiercely.

Gu Mengmeng hugged Sandy. “My Sandy is kind and adorable, gentle and considerate. You won’t become a ghost if you die. You will definitely become the most adorable little angel by the Beast Deity’s side... so let’s not talk about death anymore. I have a phobia against that word now. I get the shivers just hearing that word, look at how my hands are trembling...”
