The words “so weak” uttered by Snake as he carried Gu Mengmeng back was like a knife embedded in his heart. It forced him to continuously strive to become evermore powerful. Even though Elvis was now so powerful that he could look down on the entire Beast World, he would never get the chance to win Snake.

That was the real reason why he and Lea were so fretful.

And this was something he and Lea would never tell Gu Mengmeng.

They couldn’t say and they dared not say. They were afraid of hearing an answer which they didn’t wish to hear. They were even more afraid of her promising to stay, but then regret her promise when the time came.

In this entire life, they were probably most afraid of her lying about this.

Gu Mengmeng didn’t know what Elvis was thinking about. She thought Lea had already revealed and explained everything.

Since everything was now out in the open, the two of them should no longer be letting their imaginations run wild. Hence, Gu Mengmeng felt more relaxed and said, “It’s not right of us as guests to take over Sandy’s house like that. We came to find Sandy to play, so if there’s anything else bothering you guys, let’s talk about it at home, alright?”

Elvis and Lea nodded. They didn’t say anything further.

Elvis carried Gu Mengmeng out of the house, just in time to see Sandy giggling and looking wise. She waved. “Alright, I knew you can’t control them both. In the end, you still had to coax and placate them. I am used to it and won’t make fun of you. So don’t feel embarrassed.”

Gu Mengmeng felt all the more embarrassed at Sandy’s words.

She sat down by Sandy’s side and pinched her. “What’s wrong with coaxing and placating my own men? They already face so many challenges on the outside, if they are also bullied by me, wouldn’t they be living such pitiful lives?”

Sandy pointed at Elvis and then at Lea. She said with a smile, “The two of them? Pitiful? Haha, in this whole world only you can make them pitiful. Other than when your impulsive antics drive them crazy, I have never seen anyone else able to gain an upper hand on them.”

Gu Mengmeng wrinkled her nose with a smile. She pointed her chin at Arnold, who was staring “devotedly” at Sandy. “What about that one? What do you plan to do? He can’t possibly stand there all day like a guard dog.”

Sandy sighed. “But what can I do? He is not trespassing on my territory, so my males have no right to chase him off. He has not confessed his love for me yet so I can’t reject him. He is standing on public property and can claim to be enjoying the scenery. On what basis can I accuse him of staring at me? And even if so, I have no right to stop others from looking at me, right? Sigh, I really don’t know what to do.”

Gu Mengmeng rubbed her chin as she gazed at Arnold. She then turned back to look at Lea with a smile. “He is not as good as my Lea but still looks pretty decent. Will you really not consider accepting him?”

Sandy indicated Hodgson with her eyes as she whispered, “If I take him in, my household might become even more chaotic than the entire Sauder. Spare me!”

Gu Mengmeng laughed. “Then if you don’t mind, I will help you think of a way to kill off this notion of his?”

“You have a way?” Sandy’s eyes brightened.
