“I like the way you two are so protective over me, taking care of things for me and always making the best decisions for my sake.” Gu Mengmeng wrapped her arms around Lea’s neck and stared straight into his eyes. She smiled. “Others are others, while we are who we are. I don’t believe in either male or female chauvinism. We are husband and wife and hold an equal footing in the family. “Really?” Lea looked skeptical. He probed. “The males in your other world will also threaten their females?”

Gu Mengmeng nodded with a smile. “Mmm. They often say things like ‘if you dare give out your telephone number to men who are flirting with you, I will break your legs’ or ‘if you leave me, I will kill you’. It’s very common.”

Lea frowned and hugged Gu Mengmeng tightly. “I will never break your legs or kill you. I can’t bear to...”

Gu Mengmeng kissed Lea’s cheek with a smile. “Of course I know you can’t bear to. Just a minor nosebleed and the two of you became so anxious and thought I was going to die, how could you bear to use violence on me? “Good boy.” Gu Mengmeng shook her head with a smile, before pushing Lea back a little and tilting her head in question. “So we are alright now? Don’t be so fussy and fretful anymore, okay? We are still at Sandy’s and have ended up chasing them out of the house.”

Lea chuckled and kissed Gu Mengmeng’s hand. “I will listen to you. Anything you say.”
