Chapter 1335 - Going Into Heat Collectively

Gu Mengmeng thought about it and agreed. Hence, she nodded and didn’t argue further.

As Sauder had secret tunnels, Gu Mengmeng didn’t get bored this winter. She frequently made use of the tunnels to go visit Sandy or Hede and Jialue.

The days went by in this relaxing manner for half a month.

One day, Gu Mengmeng woke up as usual. She had her breakfast as usual and prepared to travel through the tunnels to visit Sandy as usual. However, Lea was blocking the tunnel entrance, and had even used layers of animal skin to seal it up.

Lea’s face was grim and he looked extremely troubled.

“Lea? What’s the matter?” Gu Mengmeng was somewhat worried. She reached out to him and was shocked. “Lea, why are you so hot? Are you sick?”

Lea shook his head as he continued to steadfastly block that entrance. “I am fine. Go to the second level to rest. Good girl.”

Gu Mengmeng frowned. Lea didn’t look like he was fine. The fact that he claimed so proved that that was something he didn’t want her to know.

Lea usually never hid things from her.

“What’s the matter? Tell me. We will think of a solution together.”

Lea lifted his brows and looked Gu Mengmeng straight in the eye. Seeing her resolute and worried face, he gave a bitter smile. “I think... I know what Cole was up to.”

“Mmm?” Gu Mengmeng didn’t understand. It was already the winter season and even though Cole was a snow fox, he wouldn’t be able to wander outside in this weather for long. Plus the fact that he had a fear of Gu Mengmeng due to his status as a stray beast. How could he be up to any tricks at this moment?

Lea gritted his teeth and said vehemently. “This is the year that the snow fox females go into heat collectively...”n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

He glanced at the tunnel entrance after speaking. His implied meaning was clear.

The snow fox females had already started going into heat and Lea was worried that Gu Mengmeng would be affected. Hence, he had sealed up the tunnel entrance tightly using the animal skins.

“Ah Ya... open the door...” A faint voice drifted from the other side. Gu Mengmeng listened closely to the beguiling lilt of that voice.

In this world, only Miranda would dare to call Lea Ah Ya.

“Help me... Ah Ya, help me... what happened that year, do you want me to go through that again?” Miranda’s voice turned harsh with traces of fear and despondency, as she emitted wave after wave of heart-wrenching cries. “Ah Ya, I beg of you... please save me... open the door and let me hide inside... no! Don’t touch me! I don’t want....don’t touch me... Ah Ya, save me... ah...!”

Gu Mengmeng frowned. “Open the door, let me enter.”

Lea held Gu Mengmeng. “No way. The males and females in there have all lost their senses. What would happen if you go in and get assaulted by them?”

Gu Mengmeng said, “I am the Beast King. I will go in and unleash my beast pressure and make them all collapse to the ground.”

“No! I won’t risk exposing you to even the slightest bit of danger.” Lea’s eyes were red-rimmed. He was also a snow fox and naturally affected by the collective mating fever. In the past, he could go far away and avoid it, but they were now in such close proximity that it was impossible to turn an indifferent face to it.
