Gu Mengmeng hugged onto Elvisâs neck and said with a proud expression, âHowâs that? Isnât my son extremely ambitious? He spoke with such power, clarity and strong excitement. Heâs so manly!â
As long as Gu Mengmeng was happy, Elvis naturally listened to what she said. Thus, he nodded and agreed, âYeah, his aura is quite commendable.â
Although Kanwu always had a tense relationship with Elvis, which son would not desire for his Fatherâs compliment?
So, even though Elvis praised him to mostly please Gu Mengmeng, it was a large source of affirmation for Kanwu.
âKanwu, tell Mother, how did you level-up?â Gu Mengmeng questioned.
Kanwu looked at Chixuan before breaking out into a smile and said, âOh, Second Brother said that in order to raise the overall abilities of the tribe, he arranged for same level orcs to occasionally battle each other to exchange tips. And after battling more and more, I naturally leveled-up.â
Upon hearing that, Gu Mengmeng felt that it was a good idea, so she turned to look at Lea.
Without even opening her mouth, Lea replied to her in an instant, âWe can use this idea in Saint Nazaire but we canât do this in Sauder for the time being.â
Gu Mengmeng thought over it and agreed with him. The three powers in Sauder were suppressing their desire to pin down the other two sides and they almost acted out a scene from âEmpresses in the Palaceâ at the last night campfire party. If they exchanged tips and battled one another occasionally...ha ha, it would not be long before someone dies from this.
Gu Mengmeng nodded, expressing her agreement.
Kanwu hesitated for a moment before telling Gu Mengmeng, âMum, that....Iâve another matter to inform you.â
Gu Mengmeng saw how Kanwu had a hesitant expression and looked like he was uncertain, so she asked, âWhatâs the matter?â
Kanwu lowered his head and did not dare to look into Gu Mengmengâs eyes so he avoided them and said softly, âI...I...â
âWhatâs exactly the matter?â Kanwu was not a wishy-washy kid. This was the first time he was overly cautious so Gu Mengmengâs instincts told her that he created trouble. She was rather worried as she asked, âDonât worry, your Father will hold the sky for you if it falls. Tell me, whatâs the matter?â
Kanwu scratched his head and confessed, âItâs nothing much, I just....I seized the stray beastsâ camp.â
âHuh?â Gu Mengmeng could not react in time.
Kanwu thought to himself, he was destined to suffer lashes regardless whether he stuck out or hid his head. Anyways, he had already done it, no matter how angry Mother was, she would not strangle him to death so he gathered up all his courage and repeated himself, âThe stray beastsâ camp was seized by me.â
âWhy did you seize that place?â Gu Mengmeng was confused.
Kanwu said in a self-righteous tone, âThe grapes Mum likes to eat are in the stray beastsâ territory. I donât want to see Second Brother going in to pluck the grapes every year using his identity as a young master of the stray beasts, so I seized that place. In the future, Iâll pluck the grapes with Second Brother for you every year.â
âItâs for those little grapes?â Gu Mengmeng asked, not knowing whether to cry or laugh.
Kanwu nodded and answered her, âWe four brothers have promised to be Motherâs reliance in the future and weâll gift Mother with the best stuff in this world. Since Mum likes to eat those grapes, Iâll not allow anyone to touch the grapes.â
âBut you just seized the stray beastsâ territory like that? Are you not scared of their retaliation?â Gu Mengmeng asked, in an attempt to guide him patiently, âFor a hundred years, the stray beastsâ camp has been standing towered like a giant. Nobody can touch its position, and naturally, it has its forte that outsiders are unaware of. You just seized the old nest like that, are you not scared of the stray beasts seeking revenge?â
Kanwu lifted his head and said, âIâm not scared! But....Iâm scared that theyâll create trouble for you so I rushed over to tell the truth to Mother so that I can have a lighter punishment....â
