That man was still around. He actually chased Gu Mengmeng all the way to the entrance of the female toilet.

Full of hostility, he made to dash in after Gu Mengmeng as if he wanted to beat her up. But he was stopped by Snakel at the door, who gripped his neck without a word.

Gripping that man’s thick throat tightly, Snakel—who could hold a basketball with just one hand—lifted him up. The man’s back scrapped against the wall as his feet gradually left the ground.

“My woman is crying, and you appear to be the cause.” A pair of jade-green eyes glinted coldly, conveying a malevolence that was unbecoming of the bearer’s young age. The corners of his lips curled upwards, the curvature looking like the soul-ripping scythe held by Death. “You are really gutsy. You have so easily done something that even I don’t dare to do.”

The man didn’t doubt that this green-eyed person would really strangle him to death. He struggled with all his might but to no avail. He used his hands to clutch desperately at Snakel’s wrists and wrested a bit of breathing space. He gasped. “Murder... is an offense...”

Snakel just smiled and tilted his head questioningly. “You disappeared from the time she was four years old and hid like a rat in the sewers just to get out of paying the $500 monthly child support payments. Now you have suddenly appeared... could it be you discovered my identity and so came sniffing like a stray dog who detected the fragrance of some juicy meat?”

Snakel slowly drew closer to the man and narrowed his eyes. “You know this, right? I am from the royal house of F country, and am a prince in status. As long as I say it was you who attacked me first and I had no choice but to kill you in self-defense... ha, do you think the government officials would risk triggering a war between our two nations just for a nobody like you? Or do you think... they would just hand your mistress and illegitimate child over to me, so that I can wipe out your entire family? Mmm?”

“I am... her... fa...” The man could only pant out those four syllabus.

Snakel snorted and loosened his iron grip. The man collapsed to the floor with a thud. He laid there gasping and coughing hard.

Snakel peered down at that man scornfully. “If you had sincerely apologized and made her happy enough to acknowledge you as her father—I would have been happy to spend a bit of money to create a facade of harmonious familial relations. Unfortunately, you are too stupid... you wasted your opportunity to be a ‘future father-in-law’. Let me tell you, unless she seeks you out on her own initiative, you better continue hiding like the rat you are in your sewers. If you dare to make her shed even one more tear, I will let you experience what the end of the world feels like.”

“Get lost.” Snakel commanded in a low voice. At this, the man fled like his life depended on it.

Snakel then entered the female toilet and washed his hands. Thereafter, he knocked on the door of Gu Mengmeng’s cubicle. “Even if the sky falls down, you still have me. If you want to cry, cry in my arms.”

“Let me be alone... just for awhile... sob sob... please...” Gu Mengmeng tried her best to suppress her crying. She felt so foolish. He was just a stranger whom she had not seen for over 10 years, and yet she was weeping so terribly after just a brief encounter with him. He didn’t even say anything too nasty, which made her feel like she was making a fuss out of nothing.

But this stranger whom she had not seen for over 10 years... was her father.

As much as she hated to admit it, the same blood flowed within the two of them. She had hated him for over 10 years, but couldn’t demolish the desire for some family relations. However, that desire would just result in her once again getting trampled into a pulp, and then cast aside like a worthless piece of garbage.
